Their name basically tells you exactly what you are going to expect here, which are Doughnuts, and baked things... on this trip, I get the "omega" which is probably, likely... without question, maybe the most healthy of the things that don't involve something savory. This muffin, is a sweet, whole grain thing, which tasked like something that the baker decided was necessary to balance out all the other sugar covered things. it has fruit bits in it, and I think nuts, and maybe bran? it's was heavy.. also everything here is heavy, even the donuts.. it's was like the thing that you just believe is healthy, and you just go with it. So why not 5-stars? Honestly, it's close... and if I didn't bring my scone sampler family relative, or my wife who knows exactly what a off-the-wall-amazing-donut it... she can put them down, and literally gain no weight... It was more like a cappuccino with the thick foam (not microfoam) but with less volume. It looked like this place is known for the cinnamon buns so I will come back to try it. There are sandwiches too which are pre-made. Check out the items near the entrance which could make good gifts. Love the artwork too.

I especially enjoyed the carrot cake, it had big pieces of dried fruit which was delicious and gave it great texture. Their turmeric latte was spicy and comes unsweetened, but not bitter. The baristas were mostly nice but seemed a little disorganized, although I think one of them might have been in training. I confirmed that everything was "for here" 3 times and they still gave me my sandwich in a to-go box which is my pet peeve. Overall, though, I really liked the place. I just was at Deep Cove this once for a little day trip so this was probably a one-off visit, but if I lived nearby, it's the kind of place I'd want to come back to.

The little shopping experience of local treasures is so thoughtfully curated. I picked up a gorgeous glass with the Twin Lions mountains that once again connects this cafe to the North Shore. Staff were friendly and somewhat helpful. The place charges extra for takeout cups, so I had my ice coffee in a reusable cup. However, the cup was beaten up and had cracks. I was wondering why the table kept getting wet (thought it was condensation), and didn't realize it until 1/4 of the cup had leaked out. When I brought it to their attention, they gave me an empty cup to pour the coffee into, but didn't offer to make me another one, which would've been nice. Knock 1 star off. As with other locations, the coffee tastes fine, but the price is a bit high compared to the competition.

I ordered the iced tea and I was not told there would be a cup fee. I was dining in, I could use a regular glass. Instead I was charged the cup fee and given a plastic to go cup instead. And I did say it was for here. I only found out after I paid and actually requested for the receipt. If I did not ask for receipt, I would be none the wiser. And when did North Van have this cup fee bylaw? How is that saving the environment or reducing plastic waste? That aside, the place is nice. Clean and spacious with tables along the windows. The AC was strong and wonderful on a hot summer day. The drinks and food are the same as other JJ Beans around town. There is nothing much in this strip mall, so I think this place mostly caters to the locals living and working in the area. A good place for coffee if you want to avoid the crowded Deep Cove area as it is as busy here.

No problems there. The coffee selection is pretty decent. They also have cold (sweet) drinks. I had the V12 latte. They put a neat little teddy bear in the foam. Would've been cooler if they put a MB logo instead, but all good. The only complaint is that the car themed couches and regular couches are at different heights. So my friend and I were looking up and down at each other. Wouldn't mind coming back to enjoy the car themed ambience and maybe try a pastry.
