Our cruise supposed to leave the port at 6pm but due to the weather condition, the next port got cancelled so we have time to have a short visit in Barcelona (thank God for that). After visited the amazing Sagrada Familia church, I turned on Yelp to see where to go for dinner. Thanks for the review by other yelpers, we found this great place to have dinner. We were early (in local's standard), we came at 6:30pm and we were the only customer. Thank God they carried the English menu, we ordered the sauteed mushroom (which turned out was my favorite dish), a plate of yummy mussels (very fresh and juicy), and seafood spaghetti recommended by the server. I am traveling with a group of 14 people that has previously driven restaurant waiters mad lol! This restaurant was super accommodating and very friendly and also cooked some delicious food. We are so happy to have stumbled upon this restaurant after a very tiring flight. I'd highly recommend the paella negra, saffron risotto, and the four cheese pizza. A nice little restaurant to grab a quick bite and drink especially if you're already in the area for attractions like the Sagrada Familia. I went on a Sunday night around 9:30 at night, and the place was pretty empty. The staff and the owner were very friendly and gave me great recommendations on what to eat. I ate the roasted vegetables with Parmesan and the meatballs. Both were great but a little pricey for the quality and quantity; it was over 15 euros not including tip. However, the free bread they gave me before my meal was delicious and made up for it. I left very satisfied. read more

Delicious!! I had the lasagna special, and it was so good. I actually split it with my mom and grandma because we weren't that hungry, and it was very filling. Came to eat lunch here after reading the great reviews. We had some time before our Sagrada Fam tickets and were hungry and wanted to get out of the sun. It did not disappoint. The meatballs were dry out of the freezer. The lasagna was definitely 3 days old at least. One of the worst paellas I've had...rice was undercooked, meat was overlooked, the shrimp was the size of a fingernail. All in all, not a good experience. Go to the rambla for better food. This is the best food I had while on a short trip to Barcelona! I split a seafood paella with my grandparents and it was to die for! Both the seafood and mixta paellas were great, but the seafood was the best. Our waiter Victor was wonderful! It looks touristy from the outside, but is definitely worth a try while in Barcelona. This was by far some of the most delicious Italian food we have ever had. The restaurant is owned by Italians, per the waitress. Who by the way was awesome! She had great recommendations and was super funny! We had the polenta with mushrooms and the patatas bravas for appetizers and the lasagna and seafood spaghetti for entrees. Great place! Sangria was very good, best sangria I've ever had. I had the Milanese chicken which was good and moist but not my favorite. My husband liked the chicken parmigiana. My brother thought the paella was ok. My sister in law really liked the speciality pizza. I liked the pizza too. The bread was so good and freshly baked. I couldn't stop eating it and they didn't charge for the bread like other places. The waiter was awesome and super helpful. He spoke good English. The prices were about the average in Barcelona. Overall good experience at this restaurant which was a short walk away from la segrada familia. I recommend this restaurant, if anything have the classic sangria and have another one like we did. Save your time and money and do not eat here! I was sucked in by the raves about the paella but I found it awful! The rice was hard and gummy, the clams and mussels were tiny, and when I broke off the head of the shrimp it was filled with green liquid. Overall, it was pretty flavorless. One of my kids was happy with her spaghetti, and I do have to admit the tomato sauce was good. The other kid had the margarita pizza, which I also found to be sub-par. Husband found the tapas acceptable. I can't recommend it for the view as we were seated in the back room. The staff was friendly and attentive, but that was about the best thing there. Don't go to this tourist trap, there are much better places to eat in Barcelona. read more
