Today I discovered that real fettuccini Alfredo has an angelic light sauce, rather than the wallpaper paste texture I'd always thought was normal. The eggplant parmigiana was another revelation: perfectly crisp coating (panko bread crumbs?) with exactly the right ratio of sauce to eggplant. Jordan's service was attentive but not overbearing. The chocolate cake was dense and rich. I imagine that dinner service is romantic and elegant and that reservations must be required. Are you coming from Buda? Waco? Well we usually sit at the bar. So the other nite we ate here and Cole, the bartender, serves us. He is obnoxious and drinking Jack Daniel's while working....????? Went there for Mother's Day, had a reservation for 10 people. Before I made this reservation I spoke with the gentleman on the phone regarding the menu. We have several people in our party that do not eat meat. I was told after 2:00 there would be a regular menu. We get there for our 2:00 reservation and there's not a regular menu just brunch which had two items with no meat. We talked to the manager and they would not make an exception to order off the regular menu. Hostess said if we were gluten free we could. Should've just told them we were gluten free. Made zero sense so we left and don't plan on going back. They ruined what was supposed to be a nice Mother's Day lunch as we searched for other restaurants to take a large party. read more

This is my second time trying and both times was take out. I ordered the white bean soup and honestly it had less than 5 beans in it, I counted. Curiousty peeked as I stirred. Could've been because it was 7:30 pm but I really only got broth with a sprinkle of veggies. The soup could have more flavor. My next visit will be dine in. It was a rainy and chilly day which is perfect for lasagna. Wanted to try the Tuscano that replaced Gina's. It was a week day lunch and the place was empty. I was shown to a table near the kitchen. I didn't catch the waiters name but he was very attentive. I requested a glass of Iced tea. He went to get it while I perused the menu. There was no lasagna on the lunch menu. Actually it was very limited. But I wanted lasagna so I ordered it from the dinner menu. It took a while but I did get bread and seasoned olive oil. I wasn't a fan of the bread. It was thin sliced and the size of a slice of white bread. A while later was the weird part, the waiter was going to remove my plate of bread with 2 slices still on it before the entree arrived. I stopped him, not sure why he was taking it. Finally the lasagna is served. It smells good. I cut it open and go for a small bite. Mmmm good. It was very meaty and not the pasta and cheese filled ones I usually get at Italian restaurants. The sauce was tasty. Enough cheese to be satisfied with. This was one of the best restaurant lasagna I have had. Okay, I will say it, this is as good as mine. I ate half the rest came home with me. You will note, I said nothing about a salad because they didn't serve any with the pasta. And if I am being charged $17.00 for pasta, I expect a small side salad. This was our second time eating here. I made a reservation through open table. In the request I asked for a table in a corner because we have a young baby. We were seated in the back room away from everyone which was really nice. Our server Karen was delightful and checked on us through out our meal. We ordered portofino mussels and calamari for an appetizer. They were both good. Definitely dip your bread in the left over sauce of the mussels. This was our second time getting the Fettuccini alla Alba and is hands down still our favorite dish. My boyfriend even ordered it with gluten free pasta and loved it. Was in with a group for dinner last night for some apps and pizza. We had the mussels and four pizzas the mussels were very good with a little bit of heat to the sauce they disappeared before I could get a picture. The pizzas had a nice well done crust great ingredients we had a meat lovers that was loaded with meat. The Mediterranean with olives tomatoes and basil the house specialty loaded with meats and veggies and a margarita pizza. So we decided to give Tuscano a try! And I was expecting the food to be good with the reviews and ambience. Our server Karen was very nice! We got tomato basil soup and decided to get our own pizza which was okay too. The fettuccini Laredo came with no chicken when there was supposed to be chicken. From what an understood in the pictures there was no cheese grated on top as well. So we let Karen know, she first asked us if it was okay if she bought some grilled chicken as a side. We politely declined as it would not be the same upon which she took the pasta and returned with grilled chicken mixed with same pasta although by now the pasta is not hot just plain warm. This place used to be called Gino's but is now under new ownership and a name change. The inside is much nicer and brighter than it was before and most of the musty smell is out. The new owner is super nice and is doing everything to get things started on the right foot. We had a server - Jordan- also a super good guy and was easily one of the best servers we've had in years. Creamy and popping with flavor, it quickly dominated the marinara as my preferred dipping sauce for fried ravioli, mozzarella, and zucchini. There's a section of the menu that's all about "Texas twists". I chose the Fettuccine Laredo, a cheeky take on the classic chicken Alfredo. That's a spicy dish! Sneaky little bits of habanero and jalapeno give you a jolt of excitement. Had to try dessert, enjoyed the lemoncello cake. They don't seem to have coffee figured out, as only espresso was available. Not coffee or cappuccino. This will go into my regular rotation and it might be in the running for my top Italian choice in cedar park. read more

The food was very good and tasted like authentic Italian cuisine. It was very busy when I placed my to-go order but nothing is more upsetting than not receiving an item that you ordered. I mistakingly assumed it was all there in a rush to hurry home with my kids for dinner. The portions were tiny. I ordered a bowl of tomato soup and received a cup. I meant to write this review a few months back but I'm sure it's just as good as it was! We ordered two amazing tomato pastas, Italian salad and had a wonderful wine recommended to us. The staff was very knowledgeable and friendly. The food was absolutely delicious and we will definitely return. Discovering this place felt like finding a secret in a Cedar Park strip center. I knew we were in for a treat when the bread was fresh, soft, and hot. The rest of what we had just got better and better. Service was great, all of our food came really quickly and everything was cooked as ordered. We went dressed for a date on a Saturday evening and had nice moody lighting, but it could also be more casual. Basque cheesecake with candied pecans and hot honey topped everything off. 4th time here. We went for the melted cheese bowl pasta. The waitress was awesome, the guy that did the cheese bowl was great. The pasta was just ok. Room temp. We mentioned to our server that the bread wasn't good. We also mentioned that we went to one of the group dinners, and the best thing everyone loved was the butternut squash soup. Nice selection of draft beers and my gf raved about "the Sicilian" - then the eats; our server, Candace, recommended some solid options - burrata (never had this before) was great, shrimp portofino for my lady & the Tuscan combo for me. Portions were BIG! Got togo boxes so we could have dessert. Another recommendation from our waitress was the basque style cheesecake & white choc bread pudding. Holy sh*t were these good! Would I come here again, maybe. Was it it amazing, hmmm some of it was, some wasn't. The salad was meh. The appetizer was really good the lasagna was above average. The dessert was ok, but nothing to write home about. The server was really good. I think it was jus the inconsistency of the food choices that gave this a 3 star. The restaurant is clean with an inviting ambiance and staff friendly and on top of it. Just needs consistent above average food to get to the 4 stars. read more

I have a gluten sensitivity ( not allergy, I can take a few bites of things as long as I limit it to just a bite or so) and they have fantastic GF options. My 4-star only means we need a few more tasty adventures here since this was our 1st visit (Sunday for supper). All the food was good - we had chicken and beef entrees and a mussel appetizer. Really liked those mussels a lot. My wife and mother-in-law got margaritas and they thought they were great. I took a sip and have to agree. I was drinking Peroni on tap and it worked for me. The waitstaff were super friendly as was the manager who circled the dining area checking on things. What a great addition to Cedar Park! Tuscano brings some truly great Italian fare with a Texas twist to the 613. They start you off right with warm and soft bread and it just gets better fro there. The brisket Bolognese is amazing - what a fun twist on a classic dish! The lasagna is among the best I've ever had and the pizza is fantastic. Throw in a creamy cesar salad and you have a tremendous meal! Friendly staff and reasonable prices round it all out....bravo! read more

Slow service, terrible food. We ate at Toscano's a year ago and decided to go celebrate a birthday last night. There were 4 of us and all the meals ordered were terrible. Eggplant parmesean - the eggplant was tough and chewy, the side of pasta was way over cooked and sticky. The marinera sauce was runny and bland. Had about 4 bites and did not finish the meal. The lobster ravioli did not taste like lobster was even an ingredient in the ravioli. Ordered a veal dish with a cream sauce and the cream sauce was very runny, not creamy at all. The vegetables were terrible - not cooked at all. The lasagna was just okay. Our waitress was super nice and friendly, but the wait time seems longer than it should be, also they leave plates of food on the table and we had to ask them to remove the plates from the table. No one at our table finished their meals. Sadly we will not return and do not recommend. read more

I wanted to like this place as the reviews looked great and the pictures were promising but when we arrived on Friday January 13th at 7pm, there was an overpowering odor of air freshener chemical that was so intense I wanted to vomit. I even walked the restaurant to check if it was only near the hostess stand but it was everywhere except near the bar. Not wanting to smell this and ruin my dinner, I left and told the hostess why. I haven't rarely experienced such a pungent smell at a restaurant. I could consider it in a smelly bathroom but it doesn't belong in any sit down restaurant. Shameful... read more
