Delicious. I will never go to Starbucks again even if the temp is a little warmer there. I'm anti winter. I'm anti 70 degrees, so really any complaints of chiiliness should be taken with a grain of... cinnamon. They had me at "breakfast sandwiches all day." I had woken up a little hungover so here it was, 3PM, I still had a million photos to edit, I needed a caffeine slap, and I was HANGRY. The counter dude was pleasant, the caramel whateveradoodle was warm and comforting, and the breakfast sandwich was more than I expected. It was perfectly baconed. The egg was perfectly fried. And the bread... well, I wanted to make sweet sweet love to it. Jazz 24 was playing throughout so I didn't even bother putting on my headphones to block out other human ear irritation. The only reason I'm not giving 5 stars is because I was uncomfortably cold and the chairs at the marble tables felt like jail seats - I wondered if i was in a sociological experiment to see how long it takes for a never-comfortable chair to make a person crazy. Not only can you choose from a variety of delicious, artisanal coffee drinks, but there is also decadent homemade gelato! The gelato flavors vary from day to day. Seasonal flavors include pumpkin, egg nog, gingerbread, and candy cane. My favorite gelato is Nocciola, which is chocolate with hazelnut (like Nutella!) and pistachio is another favorite of mine. The lattes & cappuccinos are delicious. I had a mocha Bacio latte and it was fabulous! The seasonal lattes are great too: pumpkin, apple pie, peppermint, gingerbread. You can also try chai lattes, fresh brewed teas, macchiatos, cappuccinos, and espressos. The coffee is smooth and never bitter. If you want a sweet treat to go with your coffee or tea, try a fresh-baked chocolate croissant, almond croissant, cookie bar, or cinnamon bun. I just moved to the area and wanted to check the local caffeine spot, tried a cappuccino after dealing with a very "annoyed" cashier. Great local cafe! Everything is fresh, made on premises or delivered daily. No matter what time of time you are close-by, they have something you'll love. Great coffees, sandwiches, bagels, desserts, gelati, and so much more. I had a breakfast sandwich which was made to order with fresh organic eggs. 5 Stars for sure! I've been here twice and both times have had a perfectly made latte. Yesterday, I had the Italian flavored latte and my daugher in law had the vanilla. Perfect. Simply perfect. And they use a locally roasted coffee, Redding Roasters ( which I love that) and they sell it by the pound as well. The decor is odd, but fine for a coffee shop. The employees are quite pleasant. They have a nice selection of Harney Teas, another local company. :) Gelato looked delish, and there are a lot of little packaged yummies including GF stuff. They need to get their act together. I pre ordered my latte cause I was in a rush and then had to wait through a long line while the person checking out couldn't figure out the computer which is everytime I come here. Then, she tells me oh it's more money than it is what I payeveryday. So I had to go get More money because they don't have the same pricing ever in the system. So frustrating. They really need some employee training. Also, the guy taking my order thought it was funny to say, Love you. Everyday when I called to place my order. I am done with this place and will be sure to spread the word about how unorganized and poorly run it is... We come to Tusk and Cup every time we're visiting Redding. We try to find local coffee shops and when we found this place we were thrilled! We only get to savor their coffee once or twice a year since we live on the west coast but we always seek it out. The coffee drinks are reliably yummy and satisfying. What is going on with your staffing? Every single time I have gone in over the last year, there's a new person at the front. Literally every time I hear "it's my first day." They have no clue what they are doing. And the somewhat recognizable staff in the back just look purely miserable. It's honestly depressing. The coffee is pretty good. But I just cannot get over the staff. What is going on that you can't keep a staff? Makes me wonder. Cute coffee shop at the corner of RT 7 and 102, across from the Branchville train station. Not a chain, but there is a 2nd Tusk & Cup opened in Wilton. In addition to great coffee and expresso drinks, decent selection of pastry and sandwiches, and Gelato. The soups are really good, and different than you typically see. Seating area is nice, plus addition of couches by a fireplace that's particularly popular when it's cold out. read more

Only had gelato here which was really good. It has a nice area to chill out in the back and is great for me since I love to grab an occasional ice cream or frozen treat all year round and the other ice cream place is closed in winter and the other place in Wilton is very small with small selection and outdoor seating only. This is my first Yelp review. Love this place! Staff is great and friendly (Tracy, Jay and Beverly to name a few). I only drink iced coffee and the moo brew is great (try the bacio moobrew). The pastries are delish (the vegan pumpkin loaf is awesome and I am not vegan) and they have the best bagels. The italian sodas are also very refeshing. All though their coffee is good, I have experienced stale baked goods that are clearly not homemade. Also in every bacon egg and cheese I have partaken in eating there has had an egg in it that was the consistency of rubber and appeared to be microwaved. This is a very good coffee bar, one of the top choices in Fairfield county. Besides the standard set of espresso-based drinks this is one of only a handful of places to brew single cups with a Bunn Trifecta brewer. The Trifecta brews a far richer cup than a pour-over or a Clover. The brewing technique is similar to an Aeropress and it extracts every bit of goodness out of the coffee you choose to have brewed. The folks at this establishment have the technique nailed and the results are quite good. They don't roast their own beans at this place but are supplied by a good local roaster in Bethel. What a sweet find! Traveled to Ridgefield on a house hunting trip and was thrilled to find this lovely coffee oasis! I thought I had died and gone to Italy! Simply said, the coffee was expertly and beautifully made, the gelato was scrumptious and smooth, and the atmosphere calm and inviting. They also stock Harney and Sons tea which is my favorite! If we move to Ridgefield, this will be my coffee go to place! Other perks of this location are the traditional Italian grocery store and wine merchant just up the hill.
