I had actually been looking for a place for Taco Tuesday around Irvine when I read about this place online on a list of maybe 50 restaurants. Talk about a shot in the dark but lemme tell you, this place did NOT disappoint. It's a brewery, I expected great beer but was kinda iffy about the tacos. But the tacos were GREAT. The meat was cooked well and the salsa that comes with it is flavorful but not too spicy. I assume it's because of the, um, clientele being mostly Caucasian..? I once came with a group of four, again on a Tuesday, but that time there was pizza and nachos and wings that were ordered. All the food was on point. And, again, it's a brewery so let's not forget about the beer! Red Hill Red is my favorite, but red beer is kinda my thing right now. It's just a run of the mill sports bar. We were in the area for a late lunch and stopped here. Service was seat yourself and it was marginally crowded for a Sunday. We were greeted immediately and placed our drink orders which we received very quickly. We decided to split the Boardwalk fries as a starter, which were vinegar and salt dressed fries. She did bring out ranch for us. There were the typical starters-wings, nachos, onion rings, etc. The fries were good. For meals, I chose the buffalo chicken sandwich with salad and he got the chipotle chicken sandwich with salad. I thought mine was crispy, it was a smothered chicken breast. There were some tough parts. He found a small bone in his when he bit into it. I didn't think my food was amazing so I left unsatisfied. This was a tough one. The servers always work their you know whats off, and they smile and are courteous. Especially the way people bring in big parties and kids into a BREW place. I think they handle it very well. I've never had any one of the girls (or the bartender) not take a moment to smile and ask how everything was.... thats a big thing for me. So 5 stars to the waiting staff. I think what this place really needs is a new menu. If they changed the food out with some seasonal dishes and spice up the appetizers, you would see an increase in business. This is a really good intimate bar setting and a great place to watch local sports. There are big screen tv all around. The food was very good and reasonably priced. I tried the old town ipa and the red hill red both were very delicious. I got the southwest salad which was large and filling. My boyfriend got the burger and it was equally delicious. There are lots of events during the week like Trivia night and pizza and pitcher night. The only reason I didn't give 4 stars is parking. The parking lot is small and gets very crowded. They have good beers, a great bloody mary ($5) and a breakfast menu complete with an EATING CHALLENGE: 12 egg chili and cheese omelette, 1 pound of their potatoes, and 4 pieces of toast. You get the food free and a T-shirt if you finish it. GOOD LUCK though. We asked the waitress about it and she said it rarely gets ordered but then pointed us to a skinny guy who has finished it a few times ( a real legend in tustin). I only seem to come here when there is some sort of sporting event going on so I always get a good deal on their beer. I've had a pint of at least everything they brew and I think their Redhill Red is the best. There are always specials going on during Monday Night Football or the Super Bowl and it's totally worth getting a pitcher of beer. After the beer, I've only had the french fries here which are ok. The man and I went here for our Friday evening outing. I love the shopping center it's in, very quaint and cute. We sat on the patio because it was such a nice day. I have never been a fan of the TBC but it *is* getting better. My buddy swears by this place. I used to dislike their beers, but now they are a whole lot better and they have fantastic guest beers. TBC has been doing it right on beer and guest beer for a long time. I am surprised it took me this long to write a review. They are a brew pub but also host sporting events and are a heavy local So Cal sports bar. Honestly this place is a 3.75 stars place. They have some good beer and the food they serve is pretty decent. Now for me personally I am not too big on their house brews that they make, however their Porter is damn good. If you like porters try it. I usually go cause they are a spot that is close to where I live and they get great guest brews going through their taps. You can get your fix from Russian River, Stone, Ballast Point, Port Brewing and many other great breweries. TBC usually will always have a keg of the rare stuff that any of those breweries puts out. Food here is pretty decent, they have the good run of pub food from Pizza, Tacos, Burgers and Wings. Now what I really like from here is the Chili honestly its a good bowl of Chili. They have won the Tustin Chili Cook Off quite a few times so its something that is worth a try. I have been going here since the place opened who knows how many years ago. It is exactly the same. It's a good place to watch the game and grab some food. No WOW factor. The other night, I had the pulled pork sandwich and grilled cheese (my meal of choice this month, double entrée). We were with a large party of 16. The hostess looked at us like we were crazy. I live in San Diego. Im a beer fanatic. Four of us decided to get out of dodge yesterday (a Sunday) and go try some beer in a different area. So we took the hour and a half drive up to OC to try some beer. Finally after a long drive we get to our location...Tustin Brewing Co. Parking was a nightmare and we were ready for a beer. We walk up, you can hear how loud it is from the parking lot. The place is packed! All right, must be good beer! Get to the door...there is a sign on the door. "Closed for Private Event" Wait, what? They actually closed the place to the public on a Sunday afternoon?? I actually checked out the places website before going, no word of it being closed for the private event, didnt think I would have to call ahead on a Sunday afternoon to make sure its open. Great beers!! Their IPA is super smooth. We had two kegs at our wedding, and everyone loved it! At the tasting room they also bring in a really good selection. Only complaint is that they won't fill growler. I have a generic one that isn't affiliated w any brewery, but they'll only fill Tustin growlers. My wife and I really like this place! They have a great admiration for beer, and I think it shows. The food is great, too, and very reasonably priced (try the sausage platter). I only don't give it 5 stars because I think it would benefit from a little better organization on the customer service end. Overall, I would say 4.5 to 5 only because the only thing I can't justify is the patio service. They don't check on you enough. It will be slow if you sit out there during the dinner rush and you will get screwed. But here's a review from a regular. Order right and you will enjoy your visit. Stay out of the patio unless you plan to take things really slow at night. Patio's not bad during the day. Beers: Awesome all around. My Favorites are their TBC Porter, Stout, IPA (not too hoppy, but I guess some people love the super hops) and of course the classic Red Hill Red. They also have tons of circulating beers. Not a fan of the lighter stuff, but my GF likes them. Food: I'm going to say 5 stars because I know what to order. All bready items are great, (My favs are BBQ chicken pizza, Garlic bread) Onion Rings(OH SO FREAKIN GOOD, ignore everything else. Fries and cheese sticks be normal and ok ), Diablo Burger(better than Red Robins, CJ's, Habit, Fat burger, and arguably better than Flemmings b/c of the meat and toppings but TBC's bread is thicker which is a downside for me, and maybe Peter's Gormade because Diablo is thicker and has more flavor while Peter's is more sweet and refreshing), Chopped salad (another favorite of GF and I). There are also local off the menu stuff, which if you go there enough times and make friends, you will find and enjoy them. Getting a table: If you want dinner and have a large crowd, you better call for reservations. Be ready to wait. It gets busy. You can go in the patio, but remember to order right away and be quick, else you will get screwed. See service. Service: Great when not during rush hour. During the rush, it will be slow at night because of all the people and the drunks. This IS a bar and buzzed folks tend to get chatty with the nice ladies tending the tables, thus slowing down your service. Get there early or order everything at once or well in advance of food or drinks running low. Also get your check early when you order your last item. If you order these things and do what I told you to do, you will have an awesome time. You can experiment, but don't get all pissy if you end up not enjoying your food and time. read more

This is a great restaurant/brewery in downtown tustin. I take my family at least once a month for reasonably priced tasty meal. The food menu is extensive but my favorite is the diablo burger if you can handle spicy food. The kids love their pizzas. There is a good assortment of home made beers for every taste. The noise level can be a bit high at times but on the other hand it makes it a great place for the little ones who like to scream without getting dirty looks. The servers are super friendly and work very hard to accomodate the large crowd. I highly recommend Tustin Brewery for families especially. read more

There was a game on so people were screaming their heads off (fine, expected from this type of place) but the demeanor of people, their drunkenness and the dirty tables made me sick. I enjoy the Tustin Brewing Company every time I go. The atmosphere is real chill and it's a great place to watch the game. They have TV's in every corner, plus two large projection screens right smack in the middle of opposing walls. No matter where you sit, you can see the game. The food is always great. The chili cheese fries, the pizza... definitely great starting points. When ever I go, I order my favorite house brew, Lemon Heights. It's got a nice zing to it! (Yes, I used 'Zing' to describe a beer!) If you go on a weekday, take the family, the kids, Grandma, Aunt Tish, shoot, even Uncle Tom! It's family friendly, but can become a full blown sports bar during the more popular sporting events, so use your judgement. I recommend this to any and all. There is outdoor seating, there is room for large groups (call ahead) and there are many drink options. The only con, which is not their fault... yep, the PARKING!
