Went here on a Thursday night around 9:00pm as it turns out they run a late night happy hour on Thursdays. 6 dollar specialty martinis all of them sounded pretty unique tasty. we tried the short rib tacos. The short rib inside the tacos was super tender and delicious. It came with cilantro and some kind of little red sauce maybe siracha or something similar to it. To be honest the meat in these tacos speaks for itself it does not really to be overly dressed to be delicious. We also hit some chicken tenders and opted to have them tossed an in buffalo sauce with ranch and blue cheese. We finished with the open faced chilli burger. the chili itself was super good and the burger was perfectly cooked. The patty was thick but not over cooked and dry topped with a chedder jack cheese that they did not skimp on. The service was good the place is pretty casual but our server still did a great job attending to us, better service than most places. read more

Was in the area this weekend so decided to go by to catch the NFL playoff game. Figured a place with Brewery in the name would be mostly adults, people there to drink beer and watch the game. Food and beer were very good, but the experience was very disappointing. They were having little league signups inside the restaurant. The line for the signups went right thru the aisles between the tables so it was very uncomfortable to eat or watch the game with people standing right next to your table. I have nothing against kids, but having that many in one place together was very disruptive to the customers who were not there for little league. I saw and heard many people who were very annoyed at the noise, kids bumping their chairs, or being in their space. The service also was rough due to the chaos of all the extra people in the aisles and everywhere. They had an outside patio where they could have taken this. I think that would have made so much more sense. I am not a regular to the area so chalk it up as one poor afternoon for me, but I hope someone thinks about this next time before it affects regular customers. read more

Overall, I would rate my time here as mediocre. Although I found the beer pleasing, the servers brought down my experience here. I had Keiley as my server and she barely made her rounds to check in for our order, if we needed water, and for our bill. We saw her probably once ever 15 minutes. When we arrived, we waited a long time for a menu. From my seat, I could see all the servers chatting in the corner and none of them making rounds for a good while. I would not recommend anyone sitting in the dining area. I recommend anyone coming here to sit at the bar as they received the most attention/service. Additionally, the staff seemed to be more concerned with receiving "CRU Cannabis" merchandise from a local regular to the brewery than to attend to their tables. I saw many times servers pass my table to talk to this regular to receive free merchandise while I was put off to the sidelines, maybe next time if their is a next time I'll bring in some free merchandise. read more

I forgot about this place. I was craving a good beer and Hollingshead was closed so I ended up here. The Sana Fe chopped salad was good and the red beer was great. It was so good I had two. Wow what a surprise this place was really good! I had the lamb chops, perfectly cooked and seasoned. My husband had the chicken breast also perfectly cooked with a great mushroom sauce. We both liked the brew. The place is a seat yourself casual with no tablecloths but food and service were outstanding. We will go again soon. I have family members who love this place and want to meet here for dinners and lunches. I've really tried really hard to give this place a fair shake, but the last 4 meals I've ordered here I would not order again. The French dip sandwich is super dry, no cheese, onions nothing. Just bread and meat and bland tasting au jus. I tried the Reuben and for some reason they fill it full of cole slaw rather than traditional sauerkraut. Yuck. Last visit I ordered the fish and chips, which looked great as I saw it being served to the table next to me, but their "homemade" tarter sauce is this weird orange color and tastes like mayonnaise. It was awful. They do make pretty good onion rings, I do have to give them that. Also of the past 4 visits, 3 of those have come with horrible service...long waits to get your order taken, longer waits to get your food, and even longer waits to get your check and get on your way, and on one visit I had to send my order back because they got all wrong. I love these type of establishments, gastropub style food with in house craft beers, but this place just kinda falls short in my opinion. read more

Food was pretty good, but the waitress was quite rude to my children and was chomping on gum the entire time we were ordering. I ordered the Mac and cheese for my kids and there were little black specs in it! They claimed it was black bean scraps but they did not look like it. We got another mac and cheese and they still had the black specs in it! It was not a good experience and we will not be returning. The buffalo wings had good flavor but were oddly crunchy. Came here over the weekend with a group of 5 friends, we walked in, the place was pretty full but there were a few tables open. We got sat after a few minutes, and let me start off by saying.. the service was terrible. After about 10 to 12 minutes our server finally came by and asked what we would like to drink, about another 10 minutes after we got our waters. She quickly dropped the waters off didnt ask if we wanted appetizers or beers. We sat for about a half hour before we got to order beers and have them brought out. They keep pitchers of tea by the back patio out in the open uncovered, and it was hot that day too. The food wasn't too bad, i had the ahi tuna sandwich, id suggest getting the wasabe sauce on the side as they drench the sandwich in it making it unbearable to eat. The pulled pork sandwich my buddy got he said tasted like the microwavable kind. Really bummed because i wanted to like this place as its across the street from my house. read more

So, we finally decided to try Tustin Brewing Co. We just heard about it recently. Wow, what a great place! We parked right in front and walked in to be seated right away...at 6:30 pm on a Saturday night! Our server was very knowledgable about the menu and friendly. They got my praise since they had the Angels game on their biggest screen. I had the hickory burger and their fries (steak fries). I also had a side salad. My wife had the hickory burger with a turkey patty and subbed salad for fries. I loved my meal. It was very tasty and filling. My wife did not care for the turkey patty due to its seasoning. She had a beer and said she liked it. I don't drink alcohol, so I'll take her word for it. We also ordered the appetizer portion of onion rings --- which were very good as well. We even indulged and had the brownie sundae for desert. Great atmosphere and the place was busy, but the service was great. We'll be back there again soon...now that we know it exists. read more

Tustin Brewing Company was so great to my friends and I during the World Cup matches. They willingly reserved seats for my friends & I, and it was so nice to watch the games from a seat rather than standing up. Our table was great and so was the service & food. Finally, after about anither 15 minutes a disheveled server comes out and bring one beer to another table and does not ask anyone else for anything. I went after a night of attempted scares. This place seems interesting from the outside but once inside, it was disappointing. They had a full bar and when I ordered a snake bite, major fail. My husband liked his beer and overall everyone else was content with their drink. The MAJOR let down was the food. I was smart and realized no one was eating and they were just drinking, so I didn't order food. But the rest ordered fish and chips, pizza, chicken sandwich and sausage platter. Everyone was disappointed with their food. The dressing was watered down, the chicken had no taste, the pizza was disgusting and the sausage tasted like rubber and smelled disgusting. I asked the waitress to take that sausage platter off the bill because only one bite was taken and she said it probably wouldn't be because it was eaten off. They ended up taking it off. No apology for crappy disgusting food. First and last time. If you want a drink, it's a nice place. Only get an appetizer, not an actual meal. read more

Been wanting to come here for a few years now and finally made it after a trip to the Santa Ana Zoo with the wife and little one. I'd have to say that I was thoroughly disappointed. I ordered a beer flight of the house brews, which included 5 beers (blonde, hef, pale, red, & IPA); it was missing the famed Porter. Blonde was decent, hef was watered down, pale was very muddled in flavor, red was pretty tasty with a nice nutty malt backbone, & the IPA tasted like a less than hoppy version of Lagunitas IPA. Location must be the only reason this place is surviving, because the beers are below average & the food is pretty bad. I had a Reuben that was made with soggy rye bread and instead of sauerkraut they use cheap Cole slaw... yuck. The corned beef was also very rubbery. The wife had Ahi tuna that was overcooked. The Jalapeño poppers were the highlight of the meal. Service was good and the building and ambiance is very inviting, but don't be fooled unless you want to drink watered down house brews and chow on sloppy food. read more

I just joined the mug club. Really cool. Beers are great especially the Red Hill Red and Old town IPA. They always have other really good beers on tap from other breweries. I found the food to be unexceptional and the service even more so. I noticed that unless you are consuming large quantitiesof alcohol, the waitresses could care less about you. We've been coming here weekly for years. Great, kid friendly, sports atmosphere with fantastic food, great beer. My Husband is a mug club member, and the best deal of the week is Wednesday $16 pizza/pitcher deal followed by Taco Tuesdays with $2 tacos. The brews are fantastic - American Pale Ale and Lemon Heights Hef are my favorites. My Husband loves the Red Hill Red. The staff is friendly and they can usually accommodate groups of 15 or more fairly quickly of you call ahead before arriving. (We can usually call as we're packing up the baseball gear after a game, and our table is waiting when we arrive!) My disabled daughter is in a wheelchair and we have no problems finding space for her. TBC is a wonderful home town crowd and our favorite place in town. Can't say enough because I'd prefer to keep it a secret. If you are in Tustin for the first time, this is a must place to eat/drink! read more
