I purchased a Mazda 3 for my son last year in Dec and signed all the paperwork via DocuSign. I was away on a trip with limited access to internet and choppy Wi-Fi. I trusted the paperwork that I would be signing would be accurate. I was told by the dealership that my payments would be $595.84 a month and have a screenshot to prove it, but a few weeks later I was logging into my online Mazda account and noticed that my payments went up over $50 a month to $647.23 a month. I was shocked! I couldn't believe that they would send my a payment by text, stating one payment and the bait and switch me and charge me an extra $50 a month. I reached out to the sales rep immediately. The GM Emiliano and VP of finance were less than helpful and never once called me back when I left multiple messages and voicemails. They were the ones that made the mistake with the contract but I expected them to rectify the mistake. Not only were they not able to rectify the mistake, but they wanted to cancel my contract and start the whole process over and re-pull my credit again. I needed the contract to be valid for last year for tax write off's. They had already pulled my credit twice with both times a hard pull. Now they wanted to re-pull my credit again! That's 3 hard pulls in under 30 days! I am in the process of purchasing a house and cannot have my credit re-pulled at all. All they said was they had to rerun it again which is ridiculous or cancel my contract. Before I could even think about it or before they even tried to rectify it, they canceled my contract without my knowledge or consent and sold my sons car. They also kept my 5k deposit and haven't refunded it yet. So now I have a disappointed son that won't be getting his car. This has been the most frustrating experience. What was originally a great experience at first has turned into a complete nightmare. I do not blame the sales rep. I blame everyone else in operations that failed to deliver and honor what was originally given to me. I will have to contact my lawyer about this. read more

Salesman was very dishonest and kept trying to sell us the most expensive trim, feeding us lies about how certain options do not come with the trim I want. That's really interesting though, since I went to another dealership that had the exact model and trim I was looking for, and at the correct price. He really tried to sell a car that it $7000 more expensive by lying to us? Before even thinking about setting foot here, I would recommend going on the Mazda Website, if you really want transparency, and drive down another 10 minutes to the Mazda dealership in Tustin. In 2014 when I bought my first Mazda 6 from Tuttle Click, I gave this dealership raving reviews. I loved DENISE who sold me the car and everyone in the management, the service department and finance department! In 2018 I bought another Mazda 6 from Tuttle click and shortly thereafter most of the employees I had dealt with for five + years quit and went to work elsewhere. All went OK until my car was out of warranty. The vibe of the dealership changed completely. They were younger and less experienced than the original employees and often did not know what was covered under my warranty and what wasn't. There is a huge turnover of employees and it seems that every time I go in there it's different people working in sales, service and management. I feel like every time I went in for an oil change they tried to upsell me to change some filter, get new brakes, get new tires, it's always something. I've taken my car to get a second opinion on what they recommend and it's never been necessary at the time they said it was. Super annoying. Most recently I had a problem with the guy in service who helped me (while doing my oil change they said they found a nail in my tire and I asked them if they could patch it and he told me that they could not, the tire was ruined. He texted me the price for a new tire and the cost to install it). I immediately took my car to my tire place where I had just gotten the tires recently and they could not find a nail in the tire and they said that it had been patched. This was after the person in the service department told me it could not be repaired and Mazda never told me they patched the tire. I wasted half my day at the tire dealership waiting to have my tires checked. I later called the newest service manager, Robert, about the issue and he said he would talk to the service person about the issue and call me back. He did not seem to believe me that I had been told that the tire could not be repaired (he said the nail must've been in the sidewall of the tire, which it was not as the video they sent me showed!) but he said that Mazda had patched it for free. That's great but they never told me they did and I proceeded to waste four hours at the tire place getting the tires checked out. Super annoying all the way around! read more

Went in last night to buy a car for my son. My son chose a car that cost $19988. I told them I was writing a check. They told me they would need me to sign a contract that would not take effect for 10 days to ensure my check cleared. Fair enough. They ran my credit 4 times last night. My score was 815. THEY PRESENTED ME WITH A CONTRACT WITH 9.5 PERCENT INTEREST RATE CLAIMING THAT WAS THE BEST THEY COULD DO. When I refused to sign the contract they came back with a 4.99 percent contract. The joker in the finance department claimed his boss made him present me with the contract at 9.50 percent. This morning my credit monitoring alerted me that @tuttleclickmazda is still running credit inquires on me. I now have 5 hits on my credit for a $20k car. I took my 2019 MX5 in to Tuttle-click Irvine Mazda for it's second oil change. Drove home and left the car in the Garage over the weekend. When I went to get car I found a leak 3/4 quart large leak under my car. As the dealership does not provide towing, I had to arrange a tow to the dealership, lost half a day in meetings and am left to get the oil stain professionally cleaned off the garage floor. The only comment written in on the service contract was 'Washer (crush) changed'! The service manager just said that the car was fine which I insisted he handwrite and sign on the service contract! Earlier, panicked he had promised doing a compression check on the engine to check for any damage. Nothing was done The washer was changed and oil filled. I have no faith this Mazda dealership and will drive the extra 15 miles to Capistrano Mazda in future. Please be careful with there incompetent technicians and service department. read more

Denise, our salesman (in this case, saleswoman), gave me a good quote for the car and made the experience pleasant. She didn't seem pushy nor belligerent and was polite. I got the Mazda3 i touring with the extended warranty. Some might say "why get the warranty! It's a ripped off!" However, I got the warranty because I am planning to keep this car for a very long time. If I could pass it along to my great, great, grand kids, as a family inheritance, I would definitely do it. ANYWAYS, I am also a type of person who wants to have a peace of mind while driving in the freeway. Had a wonderful experience here! When we arrived we were greeted by Daniel. He was super nice and knowledgable about Mazdas. He showed us some we really liked and ended up test driving one. He was just so nice and showed us all the features. We still wanted to go look at a few cars so we left. We went to 6 dealerships that day, 2 being Mazda dealers and we ended up coming back here. We sat down with him and talked price. Now here is where I wasn't too happy We got the price down that we agreed on and the manager approved. But the manager (who's name I cant remember) tried to be sneaky and add in extra warranties that drove the price up about 2k. Now we're not stupid, so we argued back and finally got the manager to agree to give us the price we wanted without any extra fees. Next part was to start working with Nick in financing! This guy is awesome! He was so nice and helpful. We told him we didn't want any warranties because of a bad experience before. He was sympathetic and wasn't pushy at all. He was so nice and in good spirits despite the fact they had closed over an hour ago. He kept us laughing/smiling while we finished all the paperwork. When we finished Daniel took us outside to see our new Mazda 3. They had cleaned it up, and it was so perfect even though it was dark. He sat with us and showed us even more features on the car we didn't know about and walked us through the user guide. He even offered to take a picture of us with our new car. So finally we told Daniel he can go home (it is now 2 hours past closing), everyone else is gone. We drove off the lot and our car was making a weird noise. We pulled over with our flashers on and saw there was a huge nail in the tire. Daniel saw us pulled over and stopped to help us. My service advisor was Matt and he was beyond helpful. He called me with updates as they were working on my car. I took my 2018 CX5 for its first service. Drove home after the service and noticed a wired noise coming from the engine and felt like the car is out of breath, so to speak. I though I'm just imagining things. After couple of days, I called Greg at service and explained the situation. He was very apologetic and offered to bring the car for inspection and even offered free oil change to compensate me for inconvenience. Turned out their mechanic had taken out the air filter and forgot to close the filter box, so the box was just loose in the engine. I thought that was pretty sloppy work. Had that been a break job instead, the outcome could have been catastrophic. BTW, one more thing they forgot, the free oil change promise:) I will never trust to take my car there ever again. read more

If you want to visit a dealership where they unequivocally epitomize the unscrupulous embodiment of a used car salesman, then look no further. This has been one of the most frustrating experiences I've ever had with leasing a car, and these people do nothing to alleviate the frustration or concern. I had to lease my car from them and had agreed on excess mileage charges, only to find out they hadn't paid the excess mileage that I'm supplementing on my monthly contract; now I have the bank chasing me for something Mazda should have taken care of. Furthermore, when you call the Irvine office, the staff there will constantly try and pass you off to someone else or tell you it's "not their issue. This should be taken up with the bank". I finally managed to speak to an employee, who explained to me that the charges were due to excess wear on the tires, but was never explained that that wasn't included in the excess wear and tear $1,000 included. I was also not made aware of the taxes that would be incurred. You'd think that the sales people could at least outline these general stipulations. If you intend on leasing a car from there, please at least be competent with math because they will manipulate the numbers to make it seem like you're getting a good deal, when you're still getting the same deal as before. This is cliche semantics in sales, to manipulate numbers and offer a smaller down-payment with larger monthly installments to make the numbers seem less intimidating. The salesmen will also insist on playing the cat and mouse game whereby they speak to their manager at any given chance. Surely, they should be competent enough in their positions to know whether to accept an offer on the table, otherwise, please just bring the manager out for the duration of the sale rather than act as if you're passing a bill through congress. Overall, just be prepared for them to waste A LOT of your time and having to sit at the office for hours whilst they play mind games with you and use exhaustive phrases like, "to be perfectly honest with you..."; so, you're telling me you weren't previously honest with me? I consider myself an honest and hardworking person, and I feel the onus to share this ongoing terrible experience with the general public. read more

We always dread looking for a new car because it's hard to stay in our budget and we hate dealing with some of the sales people that work at the dealerships. This time, after making the rounds, we chose to get a Mazda CX-5 Touring. No other similar car had all the features we wanted and more. Looked around, called around and the best price we got was from Christian at Irvine Mazda. When we finally went in to pick the actual car he wasn't there so we ended up dealing with JR, the other Internet Sales person. JR was extremely nice, patient and professional. Not often can you say that about someone at a car dealership. After pushing my husband to get a price for the Grand Touring, we ended up leasing a Grand Touring CX-5 since the price he gave us was fantastic. Everyone at the Tuttle Click Mazda was great, from the sales people to the GM. I love our new car and I wouldn't think twice about recommending this dealership when looking for a Mazda. P.S. The response given by Shirley for my feedback, is extremely inaccurate and falsified, and made up . This just goes to show that they do not take the chain of events and the details into account and make things up to make the customer look bad and not correct anything on their end. I was in a dire situation. The battery had failed for the 2nd time on a leased vehicle apart from all the other electric problems the car has. The car was not starting. There was no loaner vehicle available, and I could not be left without a car over the weekend where I had to run my errands. I never ended up going to any dealership prior to coming to your dealership. I checked with another dealership which was 70 miles away and had 45 cars approximately in line for that day so they could not accommodate my request whereas your dealership was 3 miles away and had four vehicles before and they still refused to take my vehicles saying that they were busy. But on top of all, Robert was trying to sell me a battery and get money out of me for something which is already covered under the warranty. This just goes to show if somebody's ready to pay then you're able to accommodate but if somebody's covered under warranty you're not not able to accommodate, and suddenly you are extremely busy. I had requested and begged to get assistance because of the dire situation. Your service team employee Rodriguez was extremely rude on the phone and in person and therefore I had to finally reply to him, and ask him to be quiet because I was not even talking to him, and he was interfering in my conversation with another employee. You mentioned about physical altercation, which was none so I would request you to not fabricate something and say the truth only. Everything was going calm the sales team had already requested the service team to assist me. I was sitting there for two hours suddenly the manager Robert comes in and insults me and disrespects me for which I had to request him to not disrespect and insult me or any other customer. The way the car was given to me was also extremely rude, which was parked at the gate and rather than outside the service delivery center. Robert threatened to reverse it and put the old battery in when I asked him to not disrespect me. You should really look into the other complaints filed by the other customers specially, regarding Robert and the service teams behavior rather than putting this under under the rug and saying false things. I would request you to get to the bottom of this and take the necessary action for the service team. No customer is coming in to argue, but when there is an urgent situation, one can request for assistance, and one should be able to provide some assistance rather than making it difficult for others. The same thing could've been handled more professionally by Robert and his team, but they chose not to and I think this comes directly from Robert and his behavior, the way his team behaves. read more
