Had a really nice dinner here on a perfect evening. I ordered three tacos on flour tortillas: brisket, carnitas and shrimp, plus a side of rice and beans. My friend got a brisket and a veggie taco on corn tortillas with jalapeño rice. We both felt the brisket was a little dry, but the carnitas had great flavor and the shrimp taco was good too. My friend actually liked the veggie taco more than the brisket. We split a pitcher of their house margarita with mango flavoring and it was super refreshing. A couple things to know: the parking area is pretty small, and you order in the back. If you're staying to eat, the outdoor seating is covered and has ceiling fans. We didn't go inside since the weather was so nice. After we ordered and grabbed a table, service was quick. Our server was friendly, efficient and brought us two sauces. Not sure what they were, but both were spicy. The green one was a little less spicy than the red. Overall, tasty food, great vibes and fast service. Free but limited parking with entrance's from main (Howell) or side street that feels like a one way with it being difficult for 2 cars to pass at once. I went to tuza taco on a Thursday lunch and the yummy portions were just the right amount to fill me up. The ambience in the restaurant was very relaxed with the music at a steady volume and fun beachy colors painting the walls. The service was so kind and considerate without feeling overwhelming. The food here is excellent! Formerly from Southern California, it's tough for us to find Mexican food in Georgia that's as good as it is out west. This is our fave we've found in Georgia. Last Thursday night, the cashier rang up our order incorrectly. Among other things we ordered, we had one grilled fish taco and one fried fish taco. She rang them both up as shrimp and we didn't realize until they brought them to our table. The kitchen promptly started correcting the error. We were late getting there due to traffic, so we were rushed getting to Cirque do Soleil. I got my fried fish taco, but we were still waiting for the grilled fish taco and we didn't want to be late so we had to leave. As we were pulling out of the parking lot, we saw the Manager running behind us with the grilled fish taco in a To Go bag! Now that's great service! I love finding tucked away, fun Mexican/taco spots in the city. I think Atlanta shockingly has some really great ones. I can now add Tuza Taco to that list! When you pull into the lot, you can already tell you're in for a treat. Guests order and pay under a metal awning in the parking lot before they sit. I like how the menu is simple, yet offers something for every pallet. My first visit, I ordered three tacos- fried fish, pork belly, and carne asada. I also got a passion fruit margarita and shared chips and queso with my husband. After ordering, you take your order number to one of there many tables in a cute, outdoor gazebo or inside the restaurant. We decided to sit outside this day, and I was happy we did. Our food came out very fast! Everything was delicious! It was fresh and flavorful. My favorite was the fried fish taco. They cooked the fish in beer batter, which was out of this world! Honestly, if it wasn't for the heat and the prices I would recommend this place for any day of the week. The food is all really good, fresh and has good flavor. Not too spicy or salty. But for the price... hmmmmm I'm not so sure about that. I sat outside for lunch because I wasn't very sure about where to go. There is an inside sitting area but I don't think people were in that space so I just sat in an outdoor cubby thing. They could use some fans in them. Small ones that run off solar power with timers to not waste energy. And more covered buckets that hold the forks and paper towels. A little outside dust builds character! During the fall though, I imagine this place is PACKED! It's aesthetically please, the music is good and the food is tasty. For me, just a little more over priced than I would like to pay for 3 tacos. They were $5 each (I think the chicken and steak should've been $3.50 each and the shrimp $4.50 but that's just me!) and the rice and beans weren't bad at $3. A great portion too. The Ranch Water was $14!! Some nearby places sell theirs for around $9.50-12. Overall, if it's pay day, please go! It's delicious. I love Tuza! The food here is amazing, although somewhat overpriced. On my last visit I tried the taquitos special, which was 3 fried taquitos for $10. It was topped with cheese, sour cream, and lettuce, and also came with a little cup of salsa. It was a good value and was filling and tasty. (I have tried the tacos on prior visits and find them all to be very delicious, but I have a hard time paying $5 or more for a single taco). We also got two appetizers, the queso dip with chips and the street corn. Both were also very tasty, and I would definitely order the queso again. We came here on a Saturday for an early dinner. Parking was full in their uneven lot with some paved spots and others in grass. There are also 2 spots on the road side of the establishment, one of them being a disabled spot. No worries though as we found a street spot in the adjacent neighborhood. This is my go-to place when I am hungry and want a quick meal that isn't going to break the bank. Most tacos cost $5-6, and you can order chips and salsa or guac if you're in the mood. I usually order 2 tacos, but you may want 3. They also have a great margarita and my favorite is the spicy one. You can order by the cup or as a pitcher. You order near the parking lot, take a number, and they bring the tacos to you. This time our waiter offered hot sauce, and I would highly recommend it. A little goes a long way. We love this place because it's got a huge covered patio, but it also has tables on the grass so you can bring your dog along if you sit there. I can't recommend this place enough. read more

I ventured to Tuza Taco one Monday in January 2022. I'm thinking this is where the bougie Buckhead folks get their tacos. Lol But I stopped here because of the great reviews so I figured the food had to be excellent. However i was concerned about their health score and violations received as we are still in the midst of a pandemic and cleanliness is important. But j decided to take a chance. Since the reviews were so great, I was expecting the ownership to be very Latin allowing for very authentic food but the people that run it didn't appear very "ethnic. The owner kind of had an air about him when I asked what was popular, he trotted by and said "it's all good" and kept stepping back to the kitchen. I ended up ordering 3 tacos; chicken, shrimp and big fish. It would have been nice if there was a combo of some type offered vs buying tacos a la carte. I got my tacos to go like I pretty much do all of my food. They were delicious! The flavors blended well and it tasted light and fresh. I see why the reviews were top notch. I can't see frequenting this place since I don't live in the area and they are a tad pricier than my taco norm but will definitely grab another meal here at some point! The tacos were very good. This is an unusual place. You park at the lower level you order your food and then they bring it to you once you figure out where you're going to sit. You can either sit outside within a covered patio close to the building or in a separate covered patio on chairs or you can bring your dogs and sit on the grass. It's awesome. The vibe is unique. Food was good! The star of the order was the pork belly taco. The big fish needed a pinch of salt (or maybe I need to cut back). I really enjoyed how the big fish was hot and crisp rather than soggy! I think I prefer a different cut of beef for the steak taco but it was still good. I was tempted to order another taco or two, but maybe three is the magic "save room for later" number. I love the patio space and as this was a solo Saturday lunch visit it allowed me to comfortably enjoy the weather (shaded, fans blowing, covered). My Brother & I decided to have Taco Tuesday on a Friday & we were not disappointed. The friendly guys were taking orders outside & from the 'garage' backdrop that served as a minibar, register, beverages counter & anything else needed in reach wise. You place your order & an employee brings your food out to you. Other employees will stop by to clear anything off the table if needed. When we came here about three weeks ago, the inside was still closed. We sat outside on a picnic table set up, just down the small slope from the enormous covered patio that is illuminated by string lights. There's a small deck right outside the interior with a few small tables as well. The larger patio is dog-friendly & well-taken advantage of. Of course, we started off with the Guac & Salsa, both made fresh daily as the taste was evident. About 10 minutes later our Tacos came out, my Veggie Tacos were delicious. Not your ordinary Veggie Taco with a flour tortilla stuffed with lettuce, as Tuza loads up with rice, beans, guacamole, pico de gallo, house slaw - minus the grated cotija cheese. My Brother got the Big Mahi Mahi Fish, Shrimp & Campechano Tacos with inhaling all of them simultaneously, so obviously he had no complaints with his selection. You can't beat the $4 Tacos as other items are Burritos, Quesadillas & Bowls. Non-alcoholic beverages - Mexican Coke & Jarritos with their craft made Margaritas & local Beers. From the pics online I thought it was small but it's not; there are a few tables for five, four, and two, and a few seats at a bar. Our food was brought to our table, everything was hot and looked amazing! We had crazy hot queso and if you can't take the heat you probably shouldn't' order this, it is spicy! We also ordered guac because who can pass this up when it's on a menu, it was fresh but missing a little jalapeno for my personal preference, I would request a little spicy next time. I had the beer battered fish, and an oyster taco. My niece had steak taco, and an oyster taco. It was so much food and very filling. Also one of the employees cleared our table which was much appreciated.   Overall I really enjoyed my meal and will return to try more dishes and a margarita next time. I did place an order for churros for $6 and remembered today I didn't receive them. I don't' think it was intentional and I was having trouble eating what I received so didn't' miss them.
