These guys catered our church men's event and it was perfect. The employees all wore masks and were extremely polite. There was a two taco per order limit, but you could return as many times as you'd like. The selection included every taco and they had hot sauce on the side that you could add on your own. Even at the peak time, the wait was not long for your food. I had the carne asada and the pastor. The meat was excellent and the chopped (not sliced like other places) pineapple was the perfect addition to the pastor. They stayed for the 2 hour duration of the event and we all enjoyed very much! After getting quotes between $8,000/ $9,000 my now husband and I decided to go an alternate route and we are so glad we went with Tex's tacos. In that year I asked hundreds questions, sent payments in periodically and gave my wedding planner her information to correspond. She never once was short with me or made me feel like a crazy, too many questions asking bride who was getting on her nerves. She always answered every email and was gracious, kind, and helped me brainstorm any issues I had. She helped me with my menu wording and was an important part of my wedding planning process. The truck is shiny and new, painted in bold red, orange, and yellow colors with a miniature steer statue in front. Tex's Tacos' small menu features tacos, quesadillas, fries, chips and dip, and a couple desserts. I was told by one of the employees that the carne asada (steak) taco is their most popular taco. I ordered one of those and a pastor de puerco taco. The steak in the carne asada comes "citrus-splashed" with grilled onions, guac, shredded cheese and cilantro. The pastor de puerco taco consists of chili and pineapple-marinated pork with grilled onions, pineapple, shredded cheese, and cilantro. All tacos are $3.00 with the exception of the carne asada ($3.50), tax included, and come on single-layer 6-inch flour tortillas. Overall, taste and quality of the tacos was very good. Both were infused with citrus flavors (lime in the steak, pineapple in the pork). Amount of cilantro seemed sparse so I'll probably request more next time. Two tacos did a good job of filling me up, though I could've easily eaten another one. The tacos were prepared and served in a matter of minutes. At the end of the truck, there are a variety of salsas and hot sauces to put on your tacos and quesadillas including: Diablo (buffalo-style), Roja (Mexican table salsa), and Picante (taco sauce). Eating the tacos does get a little messy, especially if you add salsa/sauces, so be sure to grab plenty of napkins. Disposable silverware is also available next to the napkins. Drink-wise, the truck has mainstream sodas, Jarritos (sweet Mexican soda), and bottled water. read more
