    Fried fish taco and Gordita
    Ashley K.

I tried the Gordita with beyond meat with fish taco and they were pretty good. I was STARVING and inhaled my food, which may have contributed to the aftermath. Good: the Gordita gave me hard fried arepa vibes but was delicious. I expected it to look different (idk why) but it's like two hard friend arepas with a bunch of stuff in between. It definitely hit the spot and I ate 2 in one sitting. The fish taco was also good and for both, I added a bunch of onions, cilantro and salsas. Aftermath: shortly after inhaling 2 gorditas and 1 taco, my stomach was bubbling. Idk if it was the speed at which I ate or the quality of food but it happened without remorse. Overall, the food was good and I'd try it again.

    Pork Burrito
    Marni M.

Having had been to the food works on multiple occasions now, I wanted to venture from my typical reliable spots. After much debate, I decided to try their Pork Burrito and take advantage of the free cilantro, limes, salsas, hot sauces, and onion offered at the front. As much as I want to say this was a phenomenal burrito, I can't help but feel a little underwhelmed. My qualms are that it was not very filled the ingredients could have used a bit more seasoning. All the sauces definitely helped but it did feel like it was lacking. Staff were great and it still is some place I'd like to give another try.

La Luz is located within Chattahoochee Works. They had a special due to ATL Taco Week October 2nd to the 8th. The special was 2 birria tacos and esquire. Esquite came in a cup and contained corn, lime, crema, and cotija cheese. The employees were friendly and knowledgeable. They explained all the menu items. They offer chicken and beef birria tacos. You can't change the special. They have a toppings bar. They had diced onions, cilantro, lime, salsa, salsa Verde, and the cute little plastic 1oz containers with lids to put your toppings in. I'm a big fav Verde Salsa along with lime, onions, and cilantro on my tacos. The tacos also came with the dipping sauce. The tacos had a decent amount of filling. The sauce was very thin and kind of bland. The salsa Verde had more flavor to me. I put that on both my tacos. The esquite was different to me. I had never tried it before. I would like it more with less cheese in it. Reminded me of a creamed corn but not as sweet and more liquid. The tacos were okay. Not bad. I would try other items on the menu. The service was great. The pricing was decent.

The Gordita with Al Pastor was very good! The shell is soft yet crispy. The Al Pastor was very flavorful and my only complaint is I would have liked more pineapple. The picture doesn't do it justice but the Gordita is a good size. I love the cheese they use. I also purchased the sangria margarita swirl. This margarita might be stronger than the drinks they serve at the bar! 2 and I was feeling great! Highly recommend the Gordita.

Taqueria La Luz is one of the better stalls in The Works. I always experience fast service and fresh food whenever I visit. This visit I ordered two fish tacos; one prepared with slaw and the other with lettuce. I definitely prefer the taco with the slaw better. The chips and salsa were a nice portion size for the price.

    Quesadilla

Stopped by here as we were grabbing several items from various stalls and was craving a quesadilla. Service was super quick and nice. I ordered the Campechano Quesadilla. We waited maybe 5 minutes for our hot quesadilla. It had a very good portion of meat and was well seasoned, but found it to be extremely oily. Overall, a reasonably priced option but not the healthiest.

    Steak, chicken & mushroom tacos
    Kiah R.

It is located inside the Chattahoochee Food Works food hall. The customer service was fine but the tacos didn't live up to expectations, you can get better else where for less. The mushroom taco could've used more mushrooms it wasn't even half full but it was tasty. The chicken taco- the chicken by itself was underseasoned but when you add the onion, cilantro and salsa (you add yourself) it made it much better. The steak taco- maaaaannnnn the steak was TOUGH I mean like chewing rubber tough and didn't have much seasoning to it. The chips & salsa- salsa was great but the chips didn't have enough salt & were just okay. Parking- if you can't find parking in the front there is a garage in the back that is free and it's not a long walk to the food hall.

    Chicken Quesadilla

Tried Taqueria La Luz for the first time this past Friday with some friends after visiting Dr. Scofflaw. We arrived at the food hall rather late, close to closing time. So most places were closed already but taqueria la luz was still open, so we decided to try it out. I got an al pastor taco and my fiancé got the chicken quesadilla, which we shared. Honestly, I am so happy we got both these things. The food was excellent. The Al Pastor taco might've been the best pastor taco I have had in Georgia, and I have tried a lot of al pastor tacos. It was super flavorful, and they even had a mini bar where you could add more cilantro, onions, and a few sauces they had to offer. The quesadilla was also very good too. It was cheesy and had the right amount of chicken as well. We didn't wait too long for our food, but this is because the food was made fresh and wasn't just heated up. Definitely worth the wait. Pricing wasn't too bad. It was pretty standard for food in a food hall. Will definitely give this place another visit in the future.

    Birria Chicken Tacos
    Carmen H.

My husband and I visited The Works yesterday for Mardi Gras. We decided to order from Taqueria La Luz. We ordered 4 birria chicken tacos and an order of queso and chips, which came with salsa as well. The birria chicken tacos were okay, but I've had better. Same with the queso. It was a little underwhelming. Customer service was okay. There are other options in The Works, so I'll probably try something different next time I go.

I love coming to the Chattahoochee Works, you never know what good food places are there. Today I tried the Chicken Birria and it was good. The consome could have been a little more flavorful but overall an 8/10. Would definitely come back for more.

    Tater tots
    Shani H.

Came here while at the Food Hall for some tater tots. I wasnt overly impressed. The tots were really soft. I expected them crispy. They tasted as if they had been cooked while frozen but not cooked long enough. I didnt finish them. Judging by the other reviews i'm not sure i'll be back.

    Margarita sangria swirl

I wanted to enjoy a nice cool drink this evening while talking with friends . I got the margarita sangria swirl. Please know this small drink packs a good punch. Very tasty, I wish there were other flavors.

La Luz tacos are so good. They are one of my favs at the Work. I prefer the corn tortillas tacos bobet the flour but everything is delicious. I often skip the bar to purchase their sangrias even if I'm buying from another vendor that day. That sangria is consistently on point! Thank me later!

Definitely a place to be seen and eat well. There's a parking garage but it was full when we got there, so we did valet, which was surprisingly affordable. Service was wonderful. Our server was attentive, helpful, and super knowledgeable about the menu. As for the food, we got: Aguachile de Pescado, which was insane. Super fresh, bright, citrusy, ceviche-like with perfect texture. I would go back just for that. The Hamachi was clean and bright. That avocado sauce tied everything together and gave it some depth without overpowering the fish. The Pork Belly Tostadas were crispy and rich with that smooth avocado mousse and sweet mango salsa balancing it out perfectly. Finally, the bone marrow with steak... so good. I had seen pictures of it before I came and it did not disappoint. The steak was incredibly tender. They bring blue corn tortillas and suggest making a taco with the marrow, steak, and avocado. It's great that way. But honestly, the marrow and steak stand perfectly on their own. Whole experience was excellent. Easily one of my favorite spots in the city now.

Right when we walked in, the staff complained to us that we hadn't called ahead to have a "smaller, special menu" crafted for a large party. To make matters worse, they loudly announced to the whole table right off rip that they wouldn't split checks separately--only an even split. It felt incredibly rude, lazy, and unwelcoming. The irony is that the large group size wasn't even an issue; we staggered our arrivals and the patio was completely empty. The kicker- my brother in law ended up paying the whole tab at the end anyways! so all of that initial laziness & nastiness for NOTHING! Throughout the night, the service felt incredibly rushed and stressed. While we were still eating our appetizers, the busser was aggressively trying to clear our plates because the mains were coming. Our server was very short with us the entire time, which was confusing because the restaurant didn't even have a stressful vibe. She recommended a main dish to me that I really didn't care for, though I will say the salsa was unique and probably the best part of the meal. Shoutout to the one staff member who was actually friendly, but overall, this is not the kind of place where you leave feeling like you had a nice restaurant experience- at least I personally didn't.. Too bad we didn't just go to C&S next door which we always love. Regardless tho, my sister had a blast, but that's entirely because she has a wonderful crew of great friends, not because of Casi Cielo.

They have quickly become my favorite place to get Mexican food. Let's get into it! Location and Parking They are located on Buford Highway in a small shopping plaza. The lot is medium sized, but they are sharing it with a few other businesses, and depending on the night it could definitely be hard to find a spot so keep that in mind. Venue and Atmosphere The venue is decently sized with both booths and regular tables. There are beautiful paintings hung all over, and the decorations that make you feel like you've stepped into a little part of Mexico. Atmosphere is super casual and comfortable. Food and drinks Now the menu here is massive. Take your time and prepare to be overwhelmed, because everything sounds amazing. Here's a breakdown of what we got each time. 1st visit - El Rey Del Taco Parrillada It's meant to be shared with two people, and comes with a pound of beef ribs, your choice of chicken or al pastor meat, six shrimp wrapped in bacon, with melted cheese and chorizo, plus tortillas and charro beans. It was just as delicious as it sounds. 2nd visit - Tacos The pastor con queso and the shrimp al pastor with cheese, onions, and al pastor sauce. You're welcome. 3rd visit - Fajitas Fajitas Texanas, with steak chicken and shrimp. There are 7 different combinations of sides that you can get. We got white rice, salad, and charro beans. This can also be shared, which my wife and I did. Speaking of the charro beans, they have the best beans I have ever had. For drinks I got the supreme regular mango margarita. My wife got strawberry. Both great. Service Food came out fast, but other than that the service was a little slow. Our waitress was nice, but it did seem that she forgot about us for a little while. The food was so good that I forgave it, plus at the end of the day I got everything I needed. Verdict If you're looking for amazing food and drinks, this is absolutely the place to get it. It just might end up being your favorite too! Until next time!
