Yes....I came for the coffee and cherry pie. But! I had breakfast first-- and it was delicious. I knew I was rolling the dice on a wait especially coming in on a Sunday morning. The wait didn't seem long, but I opted for a counter seat thinking I didn't really need a table. I wasn't in a hurry, so when I realized there was only one person taking orders and it didn't matter where you sat, I turned on my patience meter to the highest level. While sitting next to an animated doll on the counter was a little creepy, it was pleasantly entertaining to listen to the different orders and see how the staff interacted with one another. Definite team work from the older gentleman filling up the creamer bowls, to the water server, to the kitchen crew. When it was my turn to order, I went with a green chile (yes, chile with the "e" New Mexico style) omelete with cheddar and bacon. It was quite a while before my breakfast was served...like almost an hour....and the bacon wasn't added but the extra charge was removed when I paid the check. The omelets and crispy has browns were great and worth the wait. That coffee, well it is damn fine indeed. I got the cherry pie to go and can say that I had it. I'd go back for a meal and the coffee and could pass on the pie next time. All in all, a great experience if you are in the area. Spent the morning snowshoeing at Snoqualmie and stopped by in the afternoon for lunch at Twedes. All Twin Peaks nostalgia aside, this place was fantastic. I mean if you're a fan like I am it's triple cool but even if you're not the food was delicious, the service impeccable, and seriously they do serve a damn fine cup of coffee. I had a grilled cheese, my friend had a patty melt. They both came with a Mountain of fresh cut fries. I asked for extra pickles, which were some of the best pickles I've had - come to find out they make them in-house! It'd be worth the 1.5 hour trip up here to try breakfast with or without snowshoeing plans. read more

We asked for a kids menu and booster when we were first sat down by hostess and had to ask three times before we were given them. Came here for the cherry pie and it was worth it. Our friends Crystal and Mark told us this place was near Snoqualmie Falls and so we thought we would take a short detour to check it out. I do love a good famous TV show reference (Twin Peaks if you didn't know) and I love cherry pie so no brainer. It is such a cute little place. Open during COVID at 50% capacity. FOOD: I only tried the cherry pie but it was a good piece of pie. Had it to go but didn't make it out of the parking lot. I love the hard sugar sprinkles that layer the top crust. It's like eating a sugar cookie with cherry filling. And the filling is good too. Not too sour but not too sweet and with enough tang to stir those taste buds. SERVICE: Got it to go so didn't have a lot of interaction but the person who took our order was super nice and helpful. And quick. Had that slice to go in a minute. Everybody raves about Twede's so we had to give it a try. And everything was great except my wife ordered spaghetti. They brought the salad and then they came back and said oops sorry, we don't have spaghetti today so that was a bummer. But they were real nice about it even offered not to charge us for her meal. The wife ordered the beef dip. She said it was a little better than average, My pastrami sandwich was excellent. tasty meat. bread was delicious. The fries were a little better than average they weren't salted so you put whatever you want on them, the ambience is like an old café real cute. There was enough help- we didn't have to wait very long at all. I believe the prices are a little higher than average. If you're looking for a cute place to eat, that's a little retro decent food you can't go wrong here. But you better ask if they're out of it before you order it..! read more

Stopped by for the famous cherry pie for take out... very unimpressive. The price of the pie is actually terribly overpriced. The pastry seemed undercooked, and the cherries felt as if right out of a can. The fake sugar like topping sent the sweetness right over the edge. The "cream" is more like an angel delight packet and not fresh at all. Not sure the $7 price tag is really justifiable. Came here because hubby was watching the series twin peaks. The cherry pie ala mode - their bestseller deserves praising. Super good, never really liked cherry pie but this one I can eat over and over. Their coffee tasted better than any diners or breakfast places with crappy bitter coffee. In early August, I finally made the sacred pilgrimage to North Bend, where many iconic scenes of the Twin Peaks TV series were filmed. My journey couldn't have been complete without my first and arguably most important stop, Twede's Cafe, aka the Double R diner. What a wonderful, dreamy diner! And damn fine coffee too, piping hot! The Dale Cooper in me loved the free refills on delicious coffee, and the cherry pie was indeed to die for. The breakfast was also hearty and very tasty, really hitting the spot for classic diner food. I was pleasantly surprised at all of the vegetarian options available, and my friend was able to get gluten free toast with her breakfast, which was awesome! Our server, Jacob, was quite the character, and we appreciated his deadpan humor and friendly charm. All of the staff we interacted with were so welcoming and warm, and the overall atmosphere of the cafe really did make it feel like we were in the Double R diner, with kitschy decorations and excited patrons chattering all around us. I loved this place and was extremely happy with my experience here! I would definitely love to return here again someday the next time I'm in Washington, and I seriously need to know that cherry pie recipe! read more

If you're a Twin Peaks fan, this is a "must" stop location for coffee and pie. The coffee isn't as fine as I had hoped, but the pie was pretty darn good. I ordered a pepper and cheese omelette with hash browns and homemade biscuit. The omelette and hash browns were generous portions and delicious. No complaints. The biscuit was nothing special and cost $1 extra; wouldn't have ordered if I had known. Service was not terrible, but not great. We started with coffee and pie, mentioned that we'd also be ordering a proper breakfast. What a great place to dine at! When my husband and I took a day trip to North Bend, WA, today, we learned of this restaurant from Yelp now knowing this is the restaurant Twin Peaks was filmed! We took a chance and ate dinner here! The ambiance was very nostalgic and the servers were very welcoming! We had Jacob as our server who recommended the pancakes! I had one of the best pancakes ever and a HUGE ONE at that! My husband had their Feta Cheese Omelet with Hash Browns. Let me tell you, they are not shy on their portions! Worth the price! Our cook, Daniel, did a great job with the cooking and even came out to make sure we were taken care of. I asked about the Buckwheat Pancake as I noticed it was on the menu. He was so nice to give me a sample of it. The service that Jason, Daniel, and Jesiah provided were nothing short of excellent! My son and I came to Snoqualmie/North Bend to explore Twin Peaks as super-fans. We ate here twice and it was great!!! We stayed at the Salish Lodge which is very nice, but overpriced. We decided to come here for breakfast before the Twin Peaks tour we took through David Israel's company (also highly recommended). I got the Chicken Fried Steak breakfast special and my son got two pancakes. My meal was outstanding. In a diner breakfast place like this, I usually want to try that meal first. It did not disappoint. The eponymous Chicken Fried Steak itself was excellent, maybe the best I've had. The hash browns were also top notch. Eggs were great as was the sausage gravy. The biscuit was serviceable but not remarkable, though my standards are probably higher than most people when it comes to biscuits. The portions are outrageous. My appetite isn't what it used to be and I could tackle only 1/4th of my meal. My son got two pancakes and maple syrup (and extra charge but I appreciated that they had the real thing). Must have been 15 inches in diameter! Some of the best pancakes he and I have ever had. He finished one of them. Later we came back as part of the tour and my son and I shared fries and a slice of apple pie with (soft serve) ice cream and coffee. The fries were great!!! I am baffled by the reviews dogging them. I'm not a pie guy but it was good. And the coffee was outstanding! Better than the coffee provided in our room at the Salish Lodge I made with the fancy Chemex apparatus provided, which I thought was excellent. The staff was consistent friendly, attentive, and efficient. This place qua restaurant is more than fine. The prices aren't outrageous, but aren't going to pull you back in time like the rest of the place. And it seems like the portions are enough to feed 2-3 people per serving. Do not be discouraged by a 3 star average or all the bad reviews! I don't know what's wrong with those people. Maybe have been huffing sparkle or something. If you are Twin Peaks fan, you absolutely must come here and explore North Bend and Snoqualmie. Check out the mural in the back, the merch they have for sale, the graffiti in the bathroom, and feel the wind knocked out of you when you stand before that glorious sign and open the door. As a huge fan of Twin Peaks. I couldn't visit Washington without stopping by this iconic restaurant. As soon as I walked in, nostalgia flooded in immediately. As there are other fans like myself, the restaurant has a small section for Twin Peaks merchandise in the back, as well as a show-themed hallway leading to the bathroom. My group got seated in about 10 minutes, but to be fair it seemed like the place was bustling and understaffed that day. As such, our food did take about 30-45 minutes to come out after ordering. However, it was well worth the wait; the reuben and chicken fried steak (most popular) were delicious and came in immense portions. In addition, although their famous cherry pie was quite pricey for a single slice, it was probably the best one I've ever had in my life, so well worth the money and waiting. Lastly, the cashier accidentally double charged my card, but they were quick to resolve the issue and were incredibly nice about the whole process. The restaurant gives off an old diner vibe and has a large menu of items to choose from, which means it's a pretty safe bet for all types of diets and preferences. The food itself is what you'd expect from a diner: large portions, but nothing above and beyond. Prices are a bit higher than what you'd expect at this type of establishment though ($8.99 for one egg, hash browns, and toast; $6.25 for the smaller order of hand cut fries; cold sandwiches at $11.25+). I ordered the prime rib dip sandwich and found the meat to be pretty dry and lacking flavor. The fries were pretty good though! I've eaten several of the selections and have not been disappointed nor did I leave hungry... lord no When passing through, I generally like to get a slice of warm Cherry Pie and ice cream... it's a dang nice way to either start a trip or celebrate a near end... besides... its warm cherry pie and ice cream... oh yeah, I get a cup of coffee as well. This trip was similar to many others where I am near my destination and I stop for said pie and coffee... I seat myself at a place at the counter where a young man is tending to something at the register.. my count showed a fam of 4, two booths of 2 a table of 2 who came in after me and myself..after a couple of minutes I was given a cup of water and a dog eared menu by a young lady who just dindt look happy... couldn't tell you how she sounded cause I never heard her speak during my entire visit.. Anyhew, several minutes pass and the guy ar the register asked me for my order... I told him I'd like a slice of cherry pie, warm, ice cream and a cup of coffee.. he disappears and some minutes later returns with a napkin, utencils, my pie and coffee... 1st take... my pie was in a bowl and not a plate... this was new based on my recollections but hey... when in Rome. The pie, ice cream and coffee were excellent... Staff take.. not sure what unhappy server young lady was all about or why she was seemingly unhappy.. the fl2 other staffers I encountered were smiles, friendly and helpful. Facility take... clean, nicely appointed if even quaintly dated for the style it's still cool as heck. Bathroom (mens.. I wont go into the dude who used the Ladys room) was clean and stocked... props for that... Price.... well dayummm... I dont recall having paid $12.50 in the past although I do remember the food prices being a bit spendy previously. Coffee...$2.50 should have gotten 4 refills and a go cup... Pie a la Mode $8.50 (maybe $8.25) Tax... thank you Washington State assembly thieves. Left a tip of $4.00 in fashion I generally tip 20 points (as a start) or $4 whichever favors the server. Needless to say the best part of a 20 was left on site... All said, dig the food, prices hurt a bit but food is tasty and plentiful and the servers are generally good to go... my 3 star... pie in a bowl vice plate... soft serve vice real ice cream scooped, slow and barely attentive initial setup, slowing albeit friendly service... did I mention the price... Visiting from another state and Twede's Cafe/RR was high on my list of to do's! Overall the experience is about what you'd expect for a diner in a small town. The menu was really sizable with lots of items to chose from, I got the avocado burger and it was pretty good. I'm from Oklahoma though and the beef we have here always seems to be better than other states, can't fault Twede's for that! The food was good, not over priced. Paying $12-$14 for a large burger and fries seems to be standard when dining out these days. My feedback would be - merchandise. If you had more sizes in shirts then small, I would have probably spent a small fortune! Luckily I can order from them online so this was only a minor inconvenience. I'm a Twin Peaks fan, and I was OK with Twede's being a bit of a tourist trap. But I certainly did not expect to pay ~ $21.50 for 2 cups of mediocre coffee and 2 slices of (admittedly tasty) pie. (I always leave a 20% tip - so the total was close to $26!) In summary: don't bother; it's not worth it. Service was slow mid-day on a Friday. It didn't help that the manager was very vocal about the staff not meeting her high standards. She made sure everyone could hear. Maybe these young men were new hires? As a die hard Twin Peaks fan who's been coming here off and on for 15 years, it pains me to say the food is still sub par. I've had two, maybe three opportunities to eat here under the new owners; the first time was a meal to go after the pandemic started. A huge gut bomb of a sandwich and frozen "French fries". Very greasy and everything became smothered in the cheese like substance found in my sandwich. I gave a full meal another chance recently and my breakfast was almost inedible. The quality of the food is poor but you do get a lot of it, if huge portions are your thing. The server was efficient and it was busy that Sunday morning. My scramble was huge but barely had any egg in it; it tasted industrial and was mostly filled with frozen potato's. I'm confident everything was frozen, I don't think anything here is fresh. The space is in a bit of decay and I hate to say that the nostalgia and love of Twin Peaks is not enough for me to return here to eat. We regretted not having brunch at the waterfall down the road. That said, I noticed a few locals appeared to still be frequenting the space (in addition to other TP fans, clearly there to take photos). I don't wish this diner to fail and I hope the fans can help keep it going. I would recommend the kitchen reduce the size of the menu and invest in quality ingredients; you can still do simple and "diner classics" at a higher quality. We need fresh pie!
