    Salmon Crudo

I thought this place had premium sushi, but honestly, I couldn't tell the difference. I came here for lunch since it was my first time and I didn't want to spend that much money on AYCE Dinner. Lunch AYCE was definitely not worth it. The nigiris were huge, but only bc they sat on a gigantic bed of rice. I could barely taste the fish on it. Takoyaki had one tiny piece of octopus in it, but it still tasted yummy. We ordered three rolls and they were all disappointing. The salmon on fire was missing the ponzu sauce, so it was okay tasting. Golden torch was good but nothing special about it. and the hamachi mama had wayyyyy too much yuzu on it, not enjoyable. My favorite dish was the hand roll bc they used tempura seaweed, my only qualm with this is that it's hard to get a bite with everything in it. I might come back here just for the hand rolls and to try their other stuff, but the nigiri's and rolls were disappointing to me. Maybe sashimi is better? idk. Service here was good, although a little slow, but it seemed like they were understaffed that day. The restaurant itself is very nice and the actual dishes they use are pretty

I wasn't very impressed with the sushi. The quality felt the same as most other AYCE sushi spots, but at a higher price point. The hot dishes weren't seasoned and were basically just drizzled with sauce. The bluefin tuna was the only fish that tasted fresh and was actually good.

A group of 20ish Yelpers came for an AYCE feast of premium cut fish, plus rolls etc, on a rainy weekday. It was a special they were having for a limited time instead of $98 or $68 price point, it was half price. Which is a deal. I'm actually not a big fan of AYCE, but I love my friends, and I enjoy a good deal, so I had go. Plus I wanted to have a mini non-birthday, birthday celebration for the best Community Manager of Yelp Houston could ever as for. It's really cutely decorated, enjoyed the modern design for a sushi house. Luckily place was not crowded when we visited. Service- Russel was our server. I will just say maybe he did his best? He had a bit of help with extra servers and food runners. But it was slow going. At least for me. I ordered a plate of each of the nigiri premium cuts at the beginning of the meal with everyone else. But didn't receive it until the end of the meal after everyone else had eaten. The server had forgotten several times, even after I reminded him. I felt a bit forgotten. Food- we ordered family style, so I had a bit of everything. Nigiri- I had one of each of the toro's. Left full. See pics below. There was certainly some hits and misses for me. But I know the group enjoyed themselves, it was a nice evening to share.

I got the regular AYCE for $48, and honestly, the quality of the fish matched the price. I'm usually skeptical about the freshness at AYCE sushi spots, but everything here tasted clean, fresh, and high-quality. Must-order appetizers: the Tuna Tataki, Hamachi Carpaccio, and Salmon Crudo. The only reason I'm not giving 5 stars is the service. My group was the only party there in the afternoon, yet our server was missing most of the time, which made the experience a bit frustrating.

Anyone else enjoy an experience so thoroughly that they just had to sit and marvel at how that one experience opened their world to entire new genre of eats? If you can related, you may understand why it took me so long to construct this review. The new AYCE menu at Twenty Five Teishoku House made me step up my sushi game. I may have had you fooled with all of the sushi and nigiri I review (especially the Madai), but my fish game is novice at best. We enjoyed this experience as an introduction to the AYCE menu, so we dined at a discounted price, but after experiencing the menu, I'm honestly not too mad at the premium $98 all you can eat price tag, because the selection is phenomenal. Although I unfortunately ran out of room before I could try everything, among all of the maki, kitchen items, starter items, sushi & nigiri, I highly recommend the following (in this order): *Otoro- sushi lover of not, you must and I mean must try the otoro. Upon first bite your eyes will roll back in your head, your tongue will water in delight, and your body will sink into bliss...or not, but it sure felt that way. This one bite reinvigorated my waning interest in tuna. *Chu-toro- although it's less fatty, it's still valid, and 100% worth trying two...or ten. *Madai-this may be personal preference but this is now, and likely will always be the OG. *salmon & hamachi- Although I'm no stranger to yellowtail, this was my first experience with hamachi specifically, and as a Madai lover, it was delicious but less impressive than many other selections. *3 crudos-just try them! *In addition to a $68 abridged AYCE menu, AYCE pricing for kiddos varies from $12-$18 per head! Everything is feels pretty standard, parking is available, service is sweet but learning, and the space is upscale and clean. Although I'm not a resident of Katy, I'd be happy to take a friend here after one of my quarterly visits to Spa World!

I MEAN!!!! Where does one stars, if I could give this place 10 starts I would! Came here for a dinner with some friends, I believe there was about 10-12 of us, and they set us up right in center of the restaurant. We have a great view of station where we could see the magic happen. Our server Russell was outstanding. He was so great getting with greeting us and informing us about the menu and the options between the two different AYCE options. I opted for the all in option, when in ROME, try everything, and everything we did!!! Lol, if you take a gander at all the photos tied to this review, I am telling you, there is something for everyone. We started with a couple of apps, the calamari and fries. The calamari wasn't my fave ever tried, but it did the trick, the fries! Now why we ordered fries, I have no idea, but they were some of the best I've had in a while! From there, all bets were off, the table started ordering away and we tried absolutely everything, and when I say everything, I mean everything!!! We got some of the baked oysters, and they were drooollll, absolutely amazing. The toppings were just enough, and it was the perfect one-biter. I ordered one of everything on the Prime Maki, which included white gold, toro blush, the crown jewel, lobster lust, and spring breeze. It came out plated nicely and I didn't know where to start because it all looked so good. I took my time with each bite, to just allow the savoring to savor. Each bite just melted in your mouth, so so sooo good! I also got to try all the toros they had on the menu, did NOT disappoint, and I think my fave of the night was the wagyu, which is just lightly torched and had such a yummy smokey melty flavor. I liked those so much I ordered another round for the table! When I say, you have got to come to this place and try everything, try literally everything. The price was worth the amount of food we scarfed down that day. And I love that we came family style. I am 100% sure we ordered the whole menu, which meant that we could do family style and try everything. And when I tell you nothing, and I mean NOTHING, was left! Do us all a favor and go! just go, and tell me when you do so I can go too!!

THIS. Good! Now that I have your attention you should keep reading. I haven't been here previously, but I understand that it had a former concept based around bento box-style meals. That is not the case anymore. Let me introduce you to their Prime Sushi menu. I've done various omakase in Houston, and at a top tier price. This was cheaper, and on the same level of quality. Where an omakase might have it beat is plating, but this is AYCE top tier fishies, and they might now be my favorite go to, though it comes at a cost. The drive.leta get I to it. Location: Katy. Way the F up on the opposite side of The H from my corner of Pearland. Yes, I knew what I was getting into, but now that I love it I shall bemoan the effort it would take to go frequently parking is easy, they have a good sized lot. The place is beautiful, as you can see from the pictures. Well formatted, and a great ambience. The service here was fantastic. Russel was our waitstaff for the evening. He had some help with the delivery, but he took the orders and kept us fed. The O-Toro, and Chu-Toro were the stars of this movie. They both literally melted on your tongue, teeth-free. I ordered a lot. I mean A LOT. It was the best. The second to these godly fishies was the wagyu sashimi. Holyest of cows, it was divine. We also had madai, Sake Toro, Uni. While we mainly dines upon the simple things, we did grab a few rolls amongst our party of 12, Spicy Scallop Street was our favorite, we also tasted the shaggy dog (same as others), Salmon on Fire (fantastic, and with a kick). We also had a few rounds of Hot Sake, and a beer. We had the opportunity to enjoy this new menu at a friend's and family discount. Highly recommending the Prime, which under normal pricing would be $100/person. It's well worth the price. I ate far more than mely money's worth here. It was an absolute delight to dine with such great company, and we will definitely see our way back here for another round in the future.

I won a giveaway for Twenty Five Teishoku House in Katy with 3 other classmates and we all went there together to indulge in their ayce lunch menu They were originally an à la carte place so they still have that option as well. It's a bit pricier than a typical lunch ayce sushi spot but I felt that the quality of their fish backs it up. We tried apps such as the salmon crudo, tuna tataki, calamari, jalapeno bomb, baked mussels, and truffle fries. All of them were pretty salad. I didn't get the chance to but I wish I tried their soft shell crab tempura and their tonkatsu curry. We ordered a bunch of nigiri including their bluefin tuna, sake, hamachi, eel. All of them were good. We also tried some interesting concepts such as their sushi tacos. I tried the Philly and spicy hamachi tacos. The seaweed is actually crispy and keeps itself together. Interesting concept but not really my kind of thing. Think of it as a poke taco essentially. For rolls, we tried the salmon on fire, beef is real, and hamachi mama. I liked all 3 of these as well. I usually avoid sushi rolls with beef on them but I enjoyed the torched beef one. Everything we had here was solid, there was not a single miss at all.

Came here for lunch. Interior was pretty but outdoor seating is not as nice. We thoroughly enjoyed the food. Sushi is AYCE and there is a 90-minute seating limit. Hopefully they don't enforce this because it took awhile to receive your next order.

Pics are from prior visits (not AYCE): 5 stars- This restaurant is such a hidden gem and so well decorated and sophisticated. You can tell that everything was well thought out and executed perfectly. The teishoku sets were unique and served on the cutest dishes. Service was good. There are previous reviews that talk about how the food is overpriced, I thought everything was really reasonable considering the quality/quantity of the food (thick cut sashimi) and economy we are in.

    Michelle O.

Hamachi mama and the white flame were simple and tasty. The golden torch looked good, but the flavors kind of blended together. The nigiri's rice had a bit of vinegar and wasn't strange like other ayce places can be. The handroll was simply sliced pieces of fish rolled with some rice and nori. The curry was a creamy yellow curry with carrot and potato cubes on shredded cabbage. The tonkatsu was pretty tender and hot with a crispy batter. The fried fish was thick and flakey. The chicken teriyaki had thin slices of onions and cube chicken breast in a not too sweet/not too salty teriyaki sauce. The takoyaki and gyoza were hot and lightly crispy.

I've been here at least twice. Once when it was relatively new. The second time was for the AYCE. The restaurant is aesthetically pleasing and the overall plating experience is good. The service is efficient too. I liked the food when I went the first time but didn't love it. The AYCE, I felt was one of the better AYCE in town. The temperature of food was good and so are the portions. When I go to AYCE places, I usually feel like crap b/c I ate too much rice and not enough variety. I felt ok after. They seem to be struggling like a lot of local businesses, so give them a try. I think they would do better in a different location b/c there are way too many dining options and Katy Asia Town is close by. They raised the prices a little after I ate there, but I would probably only pay the lunch prices bc dinner prices are more steep with 3 price options and more expensive dishes.

    Jesus D.

Quite a disappointment considering that the spot is in Katy. Rating and review is for the food only Ordered the tonkatsu set, it was well presented and everything is else is downhill. Tonkatsu was dry, hard, and most of all lack or no seasoning at all.

There are so many different ramen options and toppings to choose from. You can choose to get the low sodium option for all the ramen if you prefer, and they also have free unsalted ramen broth refill. They also have other dishes besides ramen, and you can also customize any existing dishes with other toppings as you'd like. I got the Garlic Tonkotsu Shoyu ramen with spinach and corn, and my boyfriend got the Spicy Ramen. Both broths were so rich and flavorful. They were both slightly salty, so we also got the clear broth refill which made them just right. The ramen had a perfect chew, and the toppings were flavorful and delicious. I'm not familiar with the ramen scene in Houston, but Kizuki was a huge letdown, especially with their roots to Japan. ご馳走様でした

At that point, our daughter woke up, so we hoped to continue dining in as originally planned. I politely asked the waiter if we could finish our meal there. We didn't expect him to continue serving us--we simply wanted to sit and eat the food we had ordered. I had already tipped him on the to-go order. His response was blunt and shocking: "No, you have to leave. The table was given to someone else for a 7:30 reservation." There was no attempt to find a solution or offer an alternative--just a direct order to leave. This was a Thursday night, the restaurant was not busy, and there were outdoor tables and other seating available. We felt incredibly insulted by the attitude. When we spoke to the manager, he simply repeated that the table was reserved and backed up the waiter, without suggesting another table or even asking us to wait for the next available one, until we brought up the point that he could have asked if we have an option to wait for the next table?? Then the manager went ok do you want to have another table just because we asked. The soup was a little thin with a strange sour aftertaste, and the tofu pieces were very small, similar to the pre-packaged ones. It was complimentary, so I didn't really have any complaints, but it wasn't the perfect appetizer to start the meal. Sweet Thai Tea - I love it when places nail this classic drink. I was feeling a little tired today and (I know it's bad), but I needed the sugar pick-me-up. This definitely hit the spot. Eel Avocado Roll - I loved the flavor of this. These rolls are always inexpensive and still very delicious, making them an easy go-to whenever you don't know what to order. I also got this for my mom because she's a picky eater, and she had no issues with it. Salmon Tempura Roll - The salmon was cooked, which caught me off guard since I was expecting raw salmon. The tempura was a bit oily and took up too much of the roll, leaving the filling pretty sparse. Because the inside was fairly bland, the sourness of the rice became more noticeable. This ended up being one of my least favorite rolls. California Tempura Roll - I loved the presentation of this one. The slight sweetness was a pleasant surprise, and the filling itself was delicious. The downside was that there just wasn't much of it, so each bite felt less satisfying than I expected. The thicker tempura batter also made the roll feel increasingly oily the more I ate. One small thing I noticed was that they initially gave us very little pickled ginger. We asked for more, and they happily brought out a generous serving. I assume they keep the first portion small because not everyone eats it, but they're more than willing to give you extra if you ask. The atmosphere was pleasant, the music wasn't too loud, and the seats were cozy. Customer service was friendly, fast, and efficient. Overall, my favorite part of the meal was actually the Thai tea because it hit my sweet tooth. The sushi wasn't overly impressive, but it also wasn't underwhelming. Even California Tempura Roll, one of the pricier rolls we ordered, still felt a bit skimpy on the inside. The prices were reasonable, though I wouldn't have minded paying a little more for better flavor and more generous fillings.
