But all in all, a great sit down meal in Pueblo!

And our server was very sweet. She was checking in and making sure we were doing well. I wish I knew her name but sadly I don't. But she was so kind and had a great personality. And everything came out fast! The vibes are also good. I love the outdoor seating/patio options for a hot summer night. And it was very lush. It's funny because I had never heard of this place before but it is in a fantastic area near Night Ramen and Provision Bakery (two amazing spots). I worked in the restaurant industry for six years. I understand staying over close and even coming in close to close is a no no (at least for me). But we arrived at 7:30 pm and stayed until 9:45 pm. One of my best friends is getting married so she wanted to show us her dress and share her excitement. At 9 pm (note they close at 10 pm), they turned on the lights, began sweeping, closed the kitchen, and even at one point blasted music. We asked the waitress when they closed the wine bar. 10 pm. But what frustrated me the most is that the manager (I assume) came over and was acting extremely condescending. "I know you girls are having such a good time!!" And was trying to usher us out. Girl. You don't close until 10 pm. It's 9:45. If you didn't want us to stay, then maybe change the hours. I don't care if we are the only ones there. It was extremely rude and the way she said it felt, as I said, condescending. Like we were young and dumb or something. As a diner, I expect great service. Which we got for the most part. But to kick us out before it closes is unprofessional and frustrating. Of course we left, but god forbid a girl get excited about her wedding and wants to share all about it. This left a sour taste in my mouth and again, if you wanted to close early, maybe don't tell patrons the actual time you close: 10 pm. We bought a lot and a bottle of wine. Let us finish our glasses and I promise we will leave before close. I would still come back, but maybe I'll go to Vine and Wheel or another wine bar first.

I sat next a wall/door that would open during nice weather, and as we were leaving there were groups of people playing mahjong! How cool! Okay, trust me on this one, y'all. I'm from Texas, so that means steak is in my DNA. I went here with my grandparents and had one of the BEST steaks I've ever had. It was insane!! I ordered their namesake steak (the "Twenty One Steak") which the waitress said they vacuum-seal in a plastic bag and submerge in hot water for THREE HOURS to tenderize it (she said it's called "suvee" or something Frenchy). I mean, my Gram ordered filet mignon tacos--which were pretty tasty--but her better cut of meat wasn't half as good as mine. Everybody at the table had a bite of my steak and agreed it was the best (It was also the cheapest of all our entrees! How is that even possible!? With 3 hours of prep!!). I would totally go back there just for that amazing steak. Ugh, it's not even through my intestines yet, and my mouth is watering again. :) read more

I came here some months ago with my girlfriend and it was wonderful. We dined here again this week while in town on business.. unfortunately, it wasn't the same. Last time we were able to get 3 sides with our meals to share but now they only offer a potato option which didn't appeal to us as we like our vegetables.. which are an extra charge. The steaks were cooked perfect but we couldn't find much else on the menu that intrigued us so we just opted for our steak dinner and creme brulee to finish. Bit of a disappointment from our previous trip here. Not sure we will return. read more

I came in this past weekend (Sunday) with family. All of our steaks were overcooked and dry-we did not however send them back which is why I put 2 stars instead of 1.. just didn't feel like waiting for more. Salad was lovely but of course, we all looked forward to the main course. We ended up not getting dessert. Staff were amazing and attentive! If I could give 5 stars to the staff I would! Best food ever! My friend and I tried Twenty One Steak for the first time before our play at the Memorial Hall. We had the fillet and ribeye with a side order of crab legs. The steaks were cooked perfectly and sooo tender and the snow legs were delicious with a little bit of a bite to them. The staff was friendly and the manager was attentive. After waiting six months since its opening, we tried Twenty One Steak last night and could not have been more pleased. The quality of the food was spot on and with sevice to match. Had a private retirement party for 25 in a reserved room. The menu was selected ahead of time with good voices for everyone. The service and food was stellar. Open bar with appetizers, main meal and dessert. Staff were attentive and friendly. A wonderful experience. read more

The smoky notes were present but not overpowering, and the nixta slate liqueurs, or heat and bitters brought everything together beautifully. Waitress came back about 10 minutes later and let us know they were out of crab legs. Asked for the menu again and he decided on the beef raviolis. They were out of marinara, so Alfredo sauce would be fine. Never received the calamari. Dinner salads were small, but fresh. They ended up being the best thing we had. The fried chicken was freshly cooked, hot and juicy. Wish it had been a little more seasoned and crispy. French fries were raw in the middle and just limp. Hubby's raviolis were cheese instead of the ordered beef and were hard/chewy/dry. He wished there had been more sauce on them. I asked for ketchup and/or bbq sauce and waitress took my tea glass for a refill when the food was brought. I didn't get anything, nor my tea back. Overhead another waitress at the booth behind us tell the table they were out of marinara, no meat balls, no fillets, no some kind of steak over 12 oz. Though on the menu, no more seafood boils or 5lb burgers. Though 5 desserts were listed on the menu, per our waitress they only had tiramisu- no birthday carrot cake possible. I should have told the waitress about the fries, but after eating 2 pieces of the fried chicken with the ketchup and tea refill never received and everything else, we were just ready to go. Not a great or even good birthday meal. Waitress brought the check and to go box when we flagged her down for them. There was the calamari on the bill. I very nicely brought it to her attention, stating we never got it. She misunderstood and said, oh, that's ok. I clarified that we never received it, nor ketchup or my tea refill and she was good about removing the charge for the calamari and even removed the charge for my iced tea, though not asked to do so. Kinda wish she would have acknowledged that the mark was missed with our dinner, but no apology received. I understand that they're in a new location and still working on things. There are even signs up as you enter that state this. No desire to go back anytime soon. It's a nicely decorated and big space. I hope they get the kinks worked out.

Over the years we have tried different items from the menu. We don't recall ever receiving a bad meal. And I assure you that my wife and I have never received poor service. Quite the opposite.
