The food is OK. Ordered a steak and chicken combo. But the bad part is the pricing is off. The combo is $14.99 but the pay out is $18 dollars and change. How is that possible you ask? Tax and a extra charge of 3.5% charge for using your card. If you have cash you dk t have to pay it, honestly but who carries cash anymore. The place is rip off. I came by after work to pick up food on the home. I decided to come to this place based on positive reviews, especially reading that they have pastrami burgers. They have a small parking lot and I was lucky that there were a few spots open in front of the restaurant. Don't mistake the door near the corner windows as the entrance. It is not as I found out. I think this place is an expanded donut shop operation. The first thing I noticed was that it's tiny inside, there's no eating area. My nostrils filled with the smell of donuts. I believe I was greeted by the husband as the wife was aiding another customer. Their food menu is printed in their menu book not anywhere on the wall. So, I opted for a pastrami burger combo and a chicken burrito. As the couple worked as a team on the order, the lady punched up my order. It came out to a surprising $26 + change. I'll chalk that up the the inflation going on. After I paid for the bill, I was noticing their donuts and I was caught peeking. The lady asked if I wanted any donuts but I kindly declined due to my diet not to include added sugar. I guess she didn't hear me as she handed me a small bag filled with glazed donut holes. She's so sweet and kind. I learned long ago not to insult gift givers and accept and smile. My food order was bagged and I was back on the road home. I ordered my fries well done. They're shoestring potatoes with season salt on them. They were fresh and hot out of the bag. By the time I got home the fries were getting cold. I played the food and cut the entrees in half. I would call this burrito a wrap instead. It was filled with good tasting ingredients but there wasn't any Mexican spices that makes me want to call it a burrito. I didn't get any salsa either. The pastrami burger wasn't huge but it certainly was tasty. The fresh bun was great. I'm glad it wasn't stale. I wish that I got a printed receipt to know how much their prices increased. If the prices weren't a little high, I'd be here everyday I reckon but, gotta watch the waistline too I've gotten many things here but, the omelette is Devine and so is the cinnamon sugar cronut. Also I got a raspberry passion fruit hot tea. The bill came out to about $33 but I knew what I was getting into. Hats off to the fast and friendly service but most of all the quality of the food! The onion rings were light and crispy. The burger was juicy, and the fried rice was piping hot with big slices of meat. The lady even gave me a complimentary glazed donut! Well, I had to update my review on this place once again, especially after just recently stopping by to eat the other day before heading out to San Diego for an extravaganza of sex, drugs, and rock 'n' roll. Needless to say, I had 'band camp' practice for my new Aerosmith tribute band down south and had to get on the road quickly, so I needed a quick bite that was good priced. That's where this little place came to the rescue. Thank you Twin Castle Drive-In! Right before 4pm, Park and I stopped by to quickly order their Pastrami Burgers, which I might add are the best in probably a 10 mile radius, if not original in its own way. Not only is this a nice juicy special Hamburger, but it has Pastrami on top. Wholly Jesus would reply, 'Amen!' So good! I'm telling you here. Get it! You won't regret it. For the light eaters, split it. Still good. Eventhough they have a couple seats outside, I always take my stuff to-go from their, hence their name 'Drive-In'. While we waited for their awesome cook to grill it, he said stop by next door to pay, which I honestly did not realized it was their shop too. We then proceeded next door and walked into an awesome little donut shop/coffee shop/boba shop/etc. that's apparently attached to this awesome little grill place. They make breakfast too. They basically do breakfast, lunch, and dinner. We then paid and tried their Boba which is better than most I had in Burbank and we even tried their glazed donuts. Now wait for it............they're better than most traditional glazed donuts I had in a longtime. To top it all off, their customer service is top-notch with a great smile. I'm pretty sure we met Cecilia (please forgive me if I mixed up your name on yelp), who was such a nice kind soul, solid manger and/or owner of the place. She was very welcoming no doubt. I told her she totally sealed the deal for me to give them 5 stars on yelp. Quality food, service with a smile, and all at good prices. Basically, a good food place for me must have great tasting food, be decently priced, great ambiance, and awesome customer service, which they both did so well at. Getting a simple smile and thank you in LA from a restaurant owner or worker to me is priceless. As weird as it sounds, it makes the food even taste better. lol! Wow what a gem this place is! Came in after driving by quite often and was so glad I finally came in. Service was incredible and so friendly and helpful with the many options available. Ordered the chicken teriyaki with extra meat and it was absolutely the best teriyaki I've ever had! The extra portion was quite generous and most would likely be ok with the regular size The meal came with rice and a small salad and that was really good as well, rice was very well cooked and the salad was a nice addition with a tasty dressing. The meal overall was really good and was ready quite fast. Also traveled really well, got it to go and it was still good and fresh when I got home, so would likely order for delivery if I was not able to do pick up. Also grabbed boba which was great with a very generous scoop of pearls and they have oat milk Grabbed a donut for dessert and it was great, would definitely come back for just the donuts alone. Overall if you are looking for a new spot to grab lunch or boba and donuts could not recommend this place enough.
