I went for the live jazz which was simply amazing. I was leery of the reviews for this restaurant which were wildly mixed. Lots of parking and definitely order in advance as they recommend. First of all, the service is top notch. Like bib-level. The water never went less than 1/4 down and they were super on top of everything. But keep in mind these are not black jacket professional staff, so I think people don't understand service in a live concert. The food! The fresh rolls are a bit small and ordinary. They are hand-size, not meals. The avocado curry is excellent. Flavorful and at level 2 spice very balanced. It was a touch watery. The pad Thai is superb. I'm not sure it is the best in town given I've only been to a few dozen Thai restaurants, but certainly a top 3 contender. We also got the Larb, very flavorful and fresh. I would like to have some more separate leaves to eat it that way. Beer and wine was just normal fare. But the Thai style drinks were all available. All in all, great small club-style music venue, and excellent Thai food. Definitely worth a visit! read more

I went to Twin Lotus Thai with my family for a LIVE music event and had a wonderful time! I wasn't sure what to expect as the rest of the parking lot was empty, but was greeted by a clean restaurant and very welcoming employees. It was easy to make a reservation for the event and preorder food ahead of time. The food arrived just as ordered and could have easily been adjusted if needed. We ordered Chicken Pad Thai, Yellow Chicken Curry and Green Beans. All of the food tasted fresh and was in good portions for the pricing. The Pad Thai was one of the best I've had, it was a little sweet while also savory. The Yellow Chicken Curry had some heat, but very delicious and packed with vegetables/chicken. The green beans were cooked very well, but had less flavor than other restaurants. We plan go there again and LOVE their support of community artists! We really enjoyed this restaurant. They are working hard to support the community. They have regular music performances and literary events. We enjoyed our meals. My wife had pad Thai. I had their daily special. I don't remember the name, but it was beef, vegetables and basil over rice. My wife loved her pad Thai. I thought my dish needed more spice. I requested something to perk it up. My problem was quickly resolved with a small dish of tiny pickled Thai red chilis. They were VERY hot and immediately improved my meal immensely. We had Thai iced tea and finished with mango sticky rice. We look forward to future meals and community events here. read more

First time dinning in with my husband. Though I have been ordering out for months now. My husband and I we like this food. When we came inside my husband thought that maybe it was a private event that I went up to the counter and asked if we were able to dine in cause there was a large group of people and they were singing. So we were able to sit down anywhere we wanted and we enjoyed the live singing that anyone that has the courage to go up and sing can. The food was good. The spicy basil was really good and lots of flavor. The fried egg I would have want the yoke runny . The fried rice needed more seasoning or something. Over all it was good. The dim sum they are super small. I can go to T4 u and get dim sum 2 of them half of price what I paid which it was $8. The shrimp roll it was different thin layer only with shrimp. I think it was $9 maybe not to sure. Would I buy it again? No. The ladies were working hard they were nice. They just gave us the wrong straws since we were not able to drink up the jelly's lol. I saw this place while in the shopping center, so decided to stop by for lunch. It was a good meal! The place is clean and bright, and has a nice atmosphere. Service was great, and my food came quick. For lunch, I decided to go with the fresh spring rolls, (wrapped in rice paper not fried), and the spicy basil with rice. I asked how spicy it was, and she told me to pick a number. I asked for spice level one, and when it came, I could just barely taste the spice. The fresh rolls were very good! Two rolls cut into six pieces. Normally, I bring a few home, but these were so good, I ate all of them. Very fresh, and very delicious. The peanut dipping sauce they came with was rich and delicious. For the Thai basil, I picked ground beef for my protein. It also had, green beans, egg, bell peppers, white onion & basil with oyster & soy sauce. They left off the bell peppers as I asked. Everything was so good. The veggies were done perfectly, and the basil also gave it a good flavor. I really liked the combination of the oyster and the soy sauce. The jasmine rice, which I love, was perfectly done. The only problem I had, was that the egg was pretty much solid. I don't know if this is the way this Dish is supposed to come, but I would order the egg differently next time, as I like my yolk to drip into the food. Other than that, an absolute home run. Tried for first time because its close by and reviews seemed decent. I guess we cant rely too much on reviews. Pad see ew and drunken noodles usually use the fresh fat noodles , but this place does not. Its the dried packaged noodles flavor is just ok nothing stands out to make us want to try it again. The papaya salad was the worse, had no flavor at all. Barely any lime or fish sauce taste and worse they placed it between hot curry and noodle dish which made the entire salad warm. All the shows are up close and personal, it makes it so special. The food is scrumptious, quick and generous portions. They have a very efficient ordering system down and it's amazing. Went to see Motoshi Kosako (Harpist) twice and it was fantastic. Never knew all those different genre can be played beautifully with a harp! Highly recommend TLT! read more

My GO-TO for chicken yellow curry! I'm from Hawaii and moved here to Sacramento in 2025 and this is the closest thing I could find to Hawaii Thai chicken yellow curry :) It is SO GOOD, I made my husband order in while I was in labor!!! If that doesn't say how good it is, I don't know what will!! My nurse only gave me 15 mins to finish it before the doctor came back and you bet I finished it!! I still order it now, 8 months later!! Really great for lunch! We were the first ones in the door when Twin Lotus Thai opened on Saturday (although I do wish they opened earlier than 12 PM on weekends). The interior had a casual vibe with funky ceiling fans and a bunch of fake plants. We went up to the counter to place a takeout order and both chose the Chicken Pad Thai and Thai Iced Coffee. Service was lukewarm but pretty quick. The Thai Iced Coffee came out before the food, conveniently packaged in a boba-style plastic cup. The Chicken Pad Thai was absolutely delicious - so much flavor, perfect serving size. I was starving, so I ended up finishing the entire dish, but my coworker had leftovers to save for later. I chose a 2 for my spice level (out of 4), which was ideal for me - definitely had a kick! Overall, very impressed by Twin Lotus Thai. read more

Knocking down a couple stars for service, I ordered the salmon delight which is supposed to be deep fried salmon stir fried with eggplant, bell peppers, and basil. They brought out the lemon butter salmon which is fine because I just let them know it was the wrong dish and they took it back, but then they seemed to have just used the already grilled salmon they mistakenly served me and stir fried that with the vegetables which would have been fine if my dish wasn't supposed to be deep fried salmon, not grilled. It also didn't seem to be seasoned the way it was meant to since it was originally grilled with lemon butter, not deep fried/seasoned how the dish was intended to be. It was super disappointing (and expensive) and will prevent me from ever ordering that dish again. read more

Food was really good! Got yellow curry, pad thai, and drunken noodles all level 3 spicy and it was perfect in my opinion. Some might find it a bit spicy so id recommend level 2. This is probably the best pad thai i know of in this area. This would be a 5 star review but my yellow curry was almost a third empty and when i arrived i saw other orders filled to the top. So of course when i noticed mine pretty empty i was bummed given the price. Overall good though and hopefully this is a one time mistake. read more

Our first time here coming to see some music in a Sunday night. The music was great and the food was just as awesome. The food came out piping hot. Other than the musician, Valerie V, the pad Thai was the star of the show. It was booming with flavor and was nice and saucy just how I like it. The prikh khing was a new dish the waitress told us was an authentic Thai dish that was created by the staff. It was super spicy, so be advised! But we added beef and it was so good! I was using the rice to mop up the sauce. The massaman curry was very good and really flavorful, but our complaint was the lack of meat in it. We only had a few pieces of beef and I think only two potatoes. It was mostly onions and broth. The wait staff was very nice, but if you're coming here for a show, make sure to preorder your meal so it comes out quickly! read more

At first maybe it was the shock that the establishment had changed hands/my initial experiences just weren't the same when Twin Lotus Thai first took over, but I decided to give them another go because I figured they may have gotten things ironed out. I'm glad I did! I ordered: Avocado Curry w/ rice Tomyum Goong Soup Mango Sticky Rice The avocado curry was the just the right amount of spice. Too often I say mild spice and get the extreme level of spice. This was spot on to my liking. The tomyum soup is a somewhat different style (but at least they are upfront that it's creamy). I definitely prefer the clear broth other establishments offer, but this is a good alternative as is slightly sweet but mostly savory; the other Thai places near me make super SWEET tomyum and it's not labeled correctly which was a shock. The mango sticky rice both in presentation and taste was perfect too. I did dine out for this meal, but next time I'll check out what service is like. It is hard for me to emphasize the best overall aspect of Twin Lotus Thai restaurant but Yelp prompts you to review the food first, so let's go... 1. You will order off a paper table menu and deliver it to the wait staff. There are a wide variety of common Thai dishes. I have tried different ones and they all exceed my expectations, portion size and flavor. You select the spice level so you can't complain if it's not to your liking. Just know it'll be fresh and delicious! 2. The service is very attentive and professional however not personalized like you may expect at normal dining establishments. They will bring what you order as quickly as possible and bring you whatever you need or make adjustments to your order. 3. You can get Thai food at many locations in the Sacramento area but what you cannot get anywhere else is the amazing collection of jazz artists to entertain you while you enjoy a meal. Dr. Joe Gilman is a Sacramento musical legend. He brings in the finest artists from the surrounding area. You will be treated to top level performances. And get this... the is no cover charge. There is a box (no pressure) that you can place any appreciation you have for the artists. Also a Venmo QR code at the table as well. The tables are arranged in such a manner to best enjoy the entertainment and make it easiest for staff to serve customers. There is a camera positioned to capture the performers so you may view them on various monitors in the restaurant. The sound is perfect, just soft enough to enjoy the music. Did an online order yesterday. Upon arrival our order was ready- hassle free. The jasmine milk tea was good. The egg rolls were good but a little pricey. I believe it's just the food cost just going up everywhere now. I was surprised the Pad Thai didn't have any eggs in there but other than that it was good. read more

The service isn't great at this place and the food is just okay. Came in for a pick up order and they charged us for the wrong order and sent us away. We caught it, and the took the order back and started making the correct order. By this time our food is getting cold. Turns out the correct order cost $1 more than the incorrect order they initially gave us. So they voided the payment just so they could charge the additional dollar. That is tacky. I recommend going to Kaido on Folsom Blvd. at Bradshaw instead. Much better than this place. read more

Amazing Thai food! I'm not a fan of super dry Pad Thai where the noodles stick together, but I didn't have to worry about that here! The noodles had a nice amount of sauce and the add-ons for proteins were reasonably priced. I also like that they let you choose if you want fried tofu or soft tofu. The Larb was the best that I've had in Sac so far! Sauce was a perfect amount and the meat was seasoned well. Lastly, the Mango and Sticky rice was great (but you can't really go wrong there lol).
