Dear cleaners: I brought in a comforter, a fitted sheet, and three pillow cases. I was charged $92.00. Please check your security camera as it will show such, along with knowledge... that she knew such. Your claim is that you found the pillow cases in the comforter. When I came to pick everything up, I was refused all my items stating the pillow cases were not paid for. Yes, I tried to retrieve my items and it took the sheriff to get my comforter and fitted sheet... which I had paid for. $92.00. $92.00. I have the receipt and on Yelp, you said I had not paid for anything. You made the choice to clean them without notification or approval. They were not "drenched in blood." My cat had scratched me. Allbeit nasty. When your company realized that I had not been charged for the pillows cases, no one contacted me. I should have been notified about the situation and asked for an authorization to clean said cases for $40 more dollars. You did not. You did not. Both mistakes were the fault of your company. It was rung up wrong and no one notified me. You refused to call the lady that processed the order when I asked you to. I even asked if I could make payments just to get them back. You would think in such a situation, you would want to foster further business, acknowledge the mistake, and given me my property. You should not have cleaned them only to tell me after the fact, and your refusal to give me any of my stuff was ridiculous. We played tug-of-war until the sheriff arrived. On my part, I apologize for freaking out. $92 is a lot of money for me and no one warned me of an extra $40 on top of that. I used up my credit card to have them cleaned for $92.00 because they are brand new and a special treat for me. I want my three pillow cases back. I hope that you still have them as the attempt to get them was last Friday, March 18. If you refuse, I'll sue. Brought in two dresses to get fixed. One taken in and one the zipper to be fixed. The zipper was never touched on dress no one... called the owner , he first lied and said he checked it . I had to argue and he actually told me there was another hole.. (there was NOT) Clearly he didn't check because the same hole was there. Then told me to bring back in. Hung up. Ok Tried on next dress. And they took it in wayyy to small. Called and told them they ruined the dress and I wanted to be refunded. I couldn't even button the dress! (I'm a size 2!) he LAUGHED at me. Said I cleared when they pinned me.. pretty sure I'd notice I couldn't button the dress since it was on me.. The tags were still on the dress when I dropped it off and they took them off too.. BRAND NEW. Refused to pay for the dress and refund me money even though we have spent thousands at this over priced dry cleaners . From now on I'll drive further to get better service. DONT WASTE YOUR MONEY!!! I took all my dress shirts to get dry cleaned and just picked them up. They were not even cleaned. Every spot of dirt was still there. All they did was iron it and put it in a plastic bag and hope that I didnt notice. It wasnt a mistake or oversight either. I took in 15 shirts and all of them still had ring around the collar. Have been going here for a few months now and I love how friendly the people are here! They're extremely helpful and polite when I have questions and have great customer care service. This is the only place I trust to actually handle my clothes with care. They also do alterations and fixes, which is great because I tend to need little things on my clothes fixed whether it's zippers replaced, holes stitched, etc. Overall I genuinely couldn't recommend a place more. I definitely plan to keep going here. I've never had an issue while picking up my clothes. I also think when going to a cleaners, you need to be realistic about the results. If there's a hole in my clothes that I have no hope of fixing, I wouldn't expect a cleaners to be able to make the hole 100% invisible. If there's a really rough stain and I've done everything I can to get it out and it won't budge, I'd only expect them to make it slightly less noticeable or let me know that it can't really be taken out. :) read more

Don't go this place!! This place ruined a very expensive suit........when I went back to complain all the owner could say is 'I don't know...I don't know....I don't know'. The suit was brand new and I had look at it very closely before I bought, so there was no way it was damaged before I took it in. I have been using Twin oaks now for over a year and find their pricing fair and the quality very consistent. When I have had to have alterations completed they do a great job as well. I am leaving this five star review because I found myself in a panic Saturday night and needed my clothes before I flew out early Monday morning. I sent the owner a message on Yelp Saturday night and he called me Sunday morning and happily offered for me to come by that evening and pick up. Dropped off a pair of expensive dress slacks for my wife that had a food stain and one hem that needed to be fixed. Later that week my wife had a medical emergency so she did not go back to work for over a week. When she went to wear the slacks she found the stain to still be there and the hem not even touched. She went back and the owner said it had been too long and how would he know she didn't damage them again. She explained she did not go to work for over a week and did not have a chance to check them. Bottom line they took no responsibility and actually said "we don't guarantee that stains will be removed, if we did we would go out of business" Well hopefully you DO go out of business and maybe get replaced with someone that actually cares about a customer. I am always amazed at a business owner that just does not care to try and help. If anyone reads this please do not go to this establishment. Read other reviews and you will see the pattern. I am sure there are other cleaners that would try harder and do a decent job and maybe even care. If I spend money on something I expect and deserve fair and honest treatment. I've been using Twin Oaks cleaners for nearly 10 years, since I moved into the area and there wasn't much else. Although they are not as convenient to my home or office as some of the cleaners that have moved in since, I still go there, because the service is impeccable. I've tried some of the others from time to time, and always had problems. Twin oaks always has come through for me, especially on short tunrarounds during my frequent business trips. Clothes are always clean, pressed, and properly packaged. I'm not sure who the negative posters are, but given that Yelp doesn't verify that a reviewer actually patronized the establishment, and what I saw with the astroturf during the Prop 8 campaign, I wonder. read more

Add me to the list of disappointed customers. If you are going to charge an outrageous amount to dry clean a dress ($25), at a minimum you need to disclose the price beforehand. Took a set of chair pillows for cleaning at Twin Oaks Cleaners. They charged my $80 and when I picked up the pillows, the husband told me that he worked really hard on the stains to get them all out and that his wife hadn't charged me enough, and I was getting a really good deal. I got home, and the pillows were still dirty - no stains had been removed. No apologies or attempt to make it right. Very disappointed in this cleaner and will not be going back. Extremely poor customer service. I went to pick up my dad's shirts and I noticed that the cuffs still looked dirty. When I asked the owner about it, he said that they do not clean the cuffs, only the collar... I asked him if they could clean the cuffs next time and he said, "No. We don't do that here." I had to get my clothes ready for a job interview that was scheduled last minute, and the lady there promised to have it back to me by 10:30 AM, which I was very skeptical about, and didn't think it would actually be done. I dropped off my clothes, explaining that the 11 pairs of pants are to have no creases. When I arrived to pick up my clothes, 8 of the 11 had a crease. I explained to her that it was the first thing that I spoke of when dropping them off...NO CREASE on ALL pants. Usually I do understand that from time to time one or two may slip by and it is an easy fix....pick up the next day, no problem. Then I looked at the bill. WOW...did you hear me I said WOW!!!! They were all basic cotton pants for work. No biggie! but the bill had me paying $5.25 for each pair of pants....ARE YOU KIDDING ME!!!! I used them because I was in a pinch and needed to use them. I normally use "Excellent Cleaners" next to my work. It was a $2.00 dollar difference between the two for a pair of pants. I told them I would not be back at these prices. They said we have to charge that much because we have $10,000.00 in rent per month....I really don't care! I can understand maybe $.25 or $.50 more....but $2.00!!! That was my first and last time going there. For the $22.00 difference on this bill I would have driven to "Excellent Cleaners" it would have cost me $5.00 in gas. Convenient but VERY EXPENSIVE....Save your dollars drive an extra 5-10 miles. read more

TWIN OAKS CLEANERS is the WORST dry cleaners I have ever been to. I took an expensive pleated curtain to be cleaned and pressed. First, they tried to remove the pleat so the curtain came out with a wrinkled look. When I asked why, the owner got surly with me and walked away. The worst part was that they ripped the curtain and tried to hide it. I didn't notice until I got home and started hanging them. They had "rolled up" the curtain with the rip on the inside so I couldn't see it at the dry cleaners. I am on my way back to get this resolved but I don't hold much hope that they will take any responsibility. I just returned from the dry cleaners. When I told the woman at the counter about the ripped curtain, she laughed and said "Yes, we know." I asked for my money back. She got rude and said "That happens to curtains." At my insistence, she called the owner but he was even more rude and said he wasn't giving me my money back or making it right in any way. read more
