Twisted Eats food truck was at the Friday Night Food Truck in Rock Hill tonight. We decided to order the Mac and Cheese egg roll because mac and cheese, pork, and bacon jam all rolled up sounded amazing. Well it was not amazing. It was missing cheese flavor, just oily noodles, had about a tablespoon of pork, and bacon jam, where??? But that is not the worst part, it was so greasy and fell apart easily. Sure, I'm not expecting it to be healthy, but I'm also not expecting it to be served in a pool of oil. Sounded great in theory, but poorly executed. Worth the one time try, but unfortunately, the experience left me no desire to go back. read more

This place is a great eating option while enjoying Wooden Robot. Very efficient ordering and pick up system via text. We've been a couple times and this recent time we had a group of four and tried multiple options such as the Shrimp Fried Rice, Chicken Fried Rice, Shrimp Quesadilla, Spiced Edamame. Located inside the Wooden Robot Brewery, this food-truck-turned-kitchen serves up all sorts of appetizers and munchies to pair with drinks from the brewery. We ordered the drunken pig bao tacos which come with bbq pulled pork, grilled onions, pimento cheese and fried okra. It comes with 3 tacos and they were absolutely amazing! The bao taco shell comes fried and added a nice flavor to the outside. Of note, since this kitchen operates independently of the brewery, you place your order at a window and pay separately from drinks purchased at the brewery. After you pay, they text you when the order is ready and you go back to the window to pick it up. Our food was excellent though and would highly recommend! If this was its own restaurant with a full menu, ambience and servers, it would likely be worthy of 5 stars. read more

Had to stop by for curb side pick up and get my twisted fried rice with shrimp . It's so tasty! I first had a taste at a Yelp event earlier in the year . Once I saw this was happening on IG, I went right over to the website and placed my order . My food was hot and ready right at 5pm. Go here for the boss hog egg rolls, these steal the show on their menu! They are huge with some sauces that compliment them perfect. On the other hand I would not get the shrimp quesadilla again it was very small and thin with some of the pieces with no shrimp. The fries though are great but not worth the price. Recently while enjoying some wooden robot beers I decided I needed something to eat. Luckily the brewery has a kitchen where they make some truly unique and delicious offerings. Had the pleasure of trying Twisted Eats the other week while enjoying some drinks at Wooden Robot. The food concepts seem pretty crazy... (Disclaimer: you will want to order the entire menu) but I found the best way is to invite a group of friends, have everyone pick one thing on the menu, and have a nice sharefest... My band of three friends started with the 5 cheese beer cheese and pretzel which was AMAZEBALLS.... My pick off the menu was the fried ribs. Even more AMAZEBALLS than the beer cheese. The pork was fall off the bone and there was a nice crispy, little spicy sauced outer layer. So much goodness and so worth it. My buddies picked the duck quesadilla and Mac and cheese egg rolls. All very solid options. I love the fact that they collaborate with Wooden Robot. For example the Fried Ribs uses a base of Hop Rocks IPA mixed with burnt bourbon-mango Bbq. It's actually pretty refreshing to see a local brewery have a dedicated food truck to collaborate and pair their beers. Yes, you lose he variety, but I think he Twisted Eats menu has something for everyone (a great, unique take on food that compliments Wooden Robots brews). Ok I've been dreaming of trying their mac and cheese egg roll for a long, long time. And finally this past weekend I went to Wooden Robot to get it. My husband and I split the mac and cheese egg roll and the pork cuban sandwich. It breaks my heart to say that the egg roll was a miss. It looks so tasty and inviting, and the outside is wonderfully crispy, but that's where it ended. The mac inside felt like it didn't have cheese at all, it was more like plain macaroni, and the whole thing was woefully underseasoned. It could benefit a lot from some salt and some real cheese on the inside. The cuban was decent, but nothing special. It had some heat to it and was a generous portion. Both dishes came with rosemary fries which were good but again, nothing life changing. Even after mentioning how long I had been there the lady outside continued to pass me by until I was forced to ask for a refund after nearly an hour of waiting at a food truck. She then couldn't figure out how to cancel the order or why I was upset about wasting a large chunk of my day waiting on inept service while blaming it all on the girl cooking inside. I went to the new self dispense brewery called Pinhouse & this food truck was outside near the patio. We were hesitant at first because they don't offer a large menu & the menu descriptions do not do the items a justice. I enjoyed the Boa Tacos and the Egg roll Mac. We were at Hoppin for a Hornets Swarm365 member event and we were hungry. Twisted eats was here and we decided to try it. We ordered the Southern philly (steak) with pimento cheese. It was delicious. It came with fries and I have no idea what sauce they put on it, but goodness it was delicious. The fries also had the delicious sauce and Parmesan cheese on them. My husband and I split it and honestly I was still a tad hungry. If you are super hungry get your own, but if you are on the edge you could split it with someone. Either way the food was 100% delicious. We bought ours at 6:30pm at Hoppin and apparently we bought it during g happy hour so it was $2 off! So overall with a tip we paid $12. Overall, it was super tasty and I would order from here again. The only issue was that they got the phone number wrong so we waited a little longer for our food, but they made us fresh food right away. Delicious and give them a try! read more

The food was okay. Definitely overpriced for what you get serving wise, in my opinion. The flavor was good. The flatbread was a cracker, I've never had a flatbread in cracker form. I would recommend making that more clear on the menu for non regular guests. The toppings were minimal. There was a random piece of pork when it should have been ground beef. The onions were supposed to be diced, there were sliced. Subtle things, but for the price, I expected more. If you are drinking it's nice to have food nearby, but it's not that substantial. I've had several great experiences with Twisted Eats. They have good food, text you when your order is ready so you don't have to wait around, and go out of their way to provide great service. I recently ordered a menu item they weren't selling that day (grilled cheese) and they created something completely new with the items they did have just to satisfy my craving (cheesy wonton nachos with tomato bisque sauce). They even made two versions because they weren't satisfied with the quality on their first try. It took awhile for our food to be ready which was annoying because we were just expecting a couple deep fried Mac n cheese bites. But when it was ready we discovered a large pound of Mac n cheese with duck bits tucked into a huge yummy, crunchy egg roll wrapper! It smelled beyond heavenly. I just can't even begin to try to describe this smell. Just know that it made me stop what I was doing and take a slow bite, even though it was hotter than hell and I burnt my tongue. There was some type of sauce mixed in through the egg rolls as well. I wish there was more of that in it, on it, and to dunk them in! 10/10 for great food truck for any day at any time. read more

Crazy food truck!! With some crazy good ideas! This place seems to be a fixture outside of Wooden Robot (because they use their beer to cook with). One of their signature items is the beer cheese and pretzels - a must order each time - goes so well will Overachiever Pale in the other hand! Macaroni and Cheese eggrolls (Boss Hog) are probably the next best thing - the macaroni gets cooked in beer, mixed with different cheeses, including Gruyere, and pulled pork - and you can probably guess the rest! Had twisted eats the other day at wooden robot brewery. I got the tossed tofu steak which has sriracha braised tofu, basalmic fennel portobello, candied red pepper and napa cabbage. It was super yummy but very very spicy. If it wasn't so spicy, I would've probably gave it a 5. I ate the whole thing and all my friends really enjoyed it too. All food inspired by the beer at wooden robot and extremely friendly personnel including Rob the owner. Tried the waffle burger, would disregard the review below its very different and messy but completely delicious. What do you expect? It's a food truck with amazing greasy food. We're not eating at a 5 star restaurant here. This food truck is great with an ever changing menu, also just found out they serve brunch at the brewery every other Sunday. Can't wait to try it. Ordered their "award winning" chicken tenders to be sadly disappointed by some undercooked, batter-fried, tenders doused in way too much honey. Asked for some beer cheese on the side only to hear it was $9.75,which is a joke and a half since the whole meal was overpriced at $9.75. Can get a cup of queso a qdoba for $2...try way less. Maybe I just ordered the wrong thing, but the Big MC waffle burger was a total disappointment. I like a burger medium and do not mind some pink, however the inside of this burger was a deep purple/red, as if the patty had been frozen and the inside didn't even come close to getting cooked. On top of that, the idea of using a waffle as a bun seemed a little unnecessary to me; however, I decided to give it a go anyway. Big mistake. The grease from the burger totally disintegrated the bottom piece of waffle into a pile of mush. Very difficult to eat with just a few cocktail napkins. With so many good food trucks in Charlotte, it's a shame that Wooden Robot has partnered with such mediocrity. Perhaps the best beer in the city, Wooden Robot has quickly become one of my favorite spots for a few brews. However, for food I will have to continue going next door to the Brass Tap. Two stars because the tater tots were solid. Additional quick note, a previous reviewer said the Big MC was $9 just a month ago and I can report it is now $10. With the tots on the side it wouldn't be a bad deal if the quality was good, but it does look like they've upped the prices. read more

My boyfriend and I were having a beer at Bulldog Beer & Wine and the man next to us was eating something that smelled so amazing we had to have it. Turns out it was the Tater Pie Waffle Big "MC" from Twisted Eats, which the chef said was a play on a Big Mac.. it has pickles, 'special sauce', etc, but is a served in between 2 sesame seed waffles! It was HUGE, delicious, and it came with truffle fries - for $9! Definitely a great stop when you are in the area. read more
