I have been in before a couple of times for drinks, but this is the first time we stopped for food. We decided to have a couple of appetizers and my daughter had dessert. I thought the appetizers were good. We had the brie fondue and hummus platter. They do have a veggie patty, but it's not posted on the menu. I thought about having that, but I agree, the prices on the burgers are too much. I would think the 14 to $15 range would be fair. Our server was very friendly and prompt. She did say they discussed having another veggie option. Possibly a chicken burger / sandwich. That would be awesome! 3.75 stars. Came here 15 minutes after they opened on a Monday (2:15pm). No one else was in the dining room when we arrived. Only one person was managing the dining area and the bar. They offer the menu via QR code and the wifi name and password since cell service didn't seem to be very good. We ordered a crack wrap to share and I wasn't a fan. The cheese and Buffalo sauce didn't seem to mix well in my opinion. We also got a side order of fries and cheeseburger sliders to share as well. The sliders were medium done and a bit too pink for us, but no choice in changing that per menu notes. The house sauce was a relish thousand island dressing and seemed to be globbed on each slider. We went to another restaurant first and they had a 2 and 1\2 hrs wait so we went to the next and it was 45 min. Us being impatient didn't want to wait so we settled on the Twisted Fork. I knew their fried pickles were amazing from a previous experience and we had yummy drinks but, then we needed some actual food because we wanted to drink more. Well, my pickles were soooo good. The breading is light but perfectly fried with this very tasty herbed blend. The pickle was still crunchy but warm and juicy. Yumm. The sauce for the pickles is delicious and tangy and warm. The best! So, we stayed. I'm stuck between two and three stars because the burger which I saw on many a table didn't have any flavor but our drinks and waitress were very nice. He had an IPA and I started with a Strawberry Lemonade Fizz with suspect whiskey. Minty. Refreshing. Not overly sweet. Very good and I will definitely return for another. Then, we had margaritas on the rocks. He had original and I had a pineapple jalapeño. Again great balance of sweet, sour, and salty. I will for sure have more of that another time. Unfortunately, now for the bad part. We are huge burger fans and when our waitress was talking about how delicious our burgers would be we were drooling. Well... The beef was dry not juicy at all. The taste of the bun was completely null. The onions may have been caramelized but they were diced so you didn't get any actual flavor. That's why they are usually strips so you get all that gorgeous juice with them. It was so bad I literally got so visually upset. It ruined our mood completely. The side Caesar salad was ok but, definitely not homemade, more like. Costco salad kit. Service was very slow, once they waited on us they didn't come back to check on us. It took us waving someone down to get silverware and napkins. My husband had a beer and it literally took us waving someone down, again, to ask for another diet Coke and another beer. It took them more than 15 minutes for them to pour another beer for my husband! The food was okay. The music was TRULLY terrible. We don't always notice the music but whatever they were playing was a cross between early 70's country music and someone talking for a very long time. Just went today and the food was not good. I had the wrap with chicken, Mac and cheese, and bacon. The cheese sauce on the mac & cheese was so bad that I couldn't eat it and I just tried to pick out some of the chicken that didn't have the sauce on there. I know the waiter must have noticed that I barely ate anything and she never even asked if the food was OK a good waiter would notice that if someone doesn't really touch their food Then it must've not been that good and ask if I would want something else. If I could give zero stars, I would. My table ordered the deep fried pickle, a root beer float, the Mac and cheese, fries, and two boneless wings. Upon receiving the deep fried pickles, the fried pickles were not good, I have had better. The boneless wings were confirmed by the chef himself to be frozen, deep fried, then tossed. As for the root beer float, I could have made a better root beer float at home. Chef also confirmed the Mac and cheese to have cheddar, five-cheese, beer cheese, which don't team well together. Chef basically confirmed that everything was frozen. The waiter, Fletcher, was new but acted as the most experienced in the restaurant. The place looked understaffed, but Fletcher was trying, working hard to ensure his tables were taken care of. We came here for lunch on a Sunday. It is one of the few spots that appears to be open for dining at Pointe Ruston. They have a small outdoor seating area with heaters, although the heaters are not very warm. They have an all day Happy Hour, which is always nice. Looks like they have a makeshift gift shop where you walk in to the restaurant. You can also validate your parking right in that area as well. The ladies working the tables were friendly, but they were a little slow and/or disorganized. The food was okay, nothing to write home about. If I were to come back I would try the wings. My husband and I had sandwiches which were pretty good. A bit on the small side, but good. And they arrived right away. The waiter forgot our beverages until we were finished with our meal and it took longer to pay the bill than it did to eat our meal. We even stood up to be noticed. When we received the bill we were shocked to see that they add on a service fee of almost 4% if you pay by credit card. No signs were posted of this. Who carries cash? I liked this place! They have happy hour all day with $3 beers on tap. I had the beefeater which had roast beef, onions and cheese, it could have used a little extra cheese or bleu cheese dressing, it was slightly dry. The tacos looked tasty as did the club sandwich. Walking in, the ambiance was cool and lots of TV's with a variety of games on to catch glimpses of. Our server was super cool and attentive, so I give him an A+. That's about all I can say as far as positives go. When the menus were delivered, they look like they have had several round trips to hell and back. Paper menus WITHOUT PRICES. If you are not going to put pricing on the menu (which I personally can't stand), then why not spend a few bucks and get your paper menus laminated? Passing out menus that are wrinkled and weathered will immediately leave the customers with a negative vibe. I won't go into great details about the food, but we are in line with several other of the reviews. Way overpriced and bland at best. I completely understand they are located in the high rent district which will cause the pricing to be a bit on the high side. I would be okay with that just as long as I felt as though I got what I paid for. Frozen chicken and fries certainly does not warrant a cost over $20.00. That all being said, I would find it hard to give these guys another chance. Review after review states the same thing as the review I am leaving. There were belligerent patrons at the bar who were still being served shots after shots. One puked outside the entrance and it was just pushed aside under a chair. We ordered food, we got the Brie plate, beef tacos and fried bologna sandwich. The Brie plate was more like Gorgonzola and velveeta, I'm not sure but it definitely was not Brie. We watched our food sit in the window under the heat lamp for over 20 minutes. Tacos were cold and rubbery. Fried bologna was toasted on top and soggy on the bottom from sitting so long. The hostess tossed the broken tablet that they call a menu on the glass table, causing a loud crash and seeming not to give any sh!ts about the people around her. Complete attitude problem with customers. After trying to order a starter, we were told that they were out of our first two choices. After checking on a third choice, we informed the server of a food allergy, to which we were told that the kitchen would not be responsible for avoiding "double dipping" the utensils, so they couldn't honor any special requests. The smash burger was a joke, I took one bite and they poured sauce all over it, and I got one patty, was smaller then McDonald's patties. The Philly cheese steak being twenty dollars is INCREDIBLY overpriced, you can get better ones at different vendors with much better taste. Would have liked a few more options, but they were willing and able to accommodate my GF and vegetarian modifications. There are many TVs so if you want to watch a game, this would be a good spot. They do have outdoor seating, but it is not covered, so winter during COVID might be tough. I really wanted to like this place but sadly I can't say I did. The good is this...they smoke the chicken in one of the sandwiches and it is was delicious! The floor, however, was dirty and the table sticky. They weren't very busy with only 4 other tables occupied but the still the service was lacking. Our server was inattentive and our food cold. We sent back the onion rings and pork tacos. When they came back to us (supposedly remade) they tasted like that had been reheated in a microwave.
