What a lot of fun this Sunday. Brought the family down to grab dinner on the waterfront and found this little piece of heaven family owned run business. First thing first, the specialty drinks were excellent, followed by the Cheese Fondue served with bread loaf, apples and grapes for dipping. Everyone had different meals and I went for the build your own Gourmet Burger which was outstanding; if you like Totts or fries they will go fast like in our group of six.The servers were all friendly and attentive to our needs and gave us the history of the restaurant. Last but not least the deserts were delicious from the Lave Cake to Berry Tarts with ice cream. I can't say enough good things about this place and will return soon, so make sure you give it a try when you're down on the waterfront. read more

The only reason I am giving 3 stars is because the hostess wasnt wearing a mask or keeping 6 ft distance, which made us really uncomfortable. I would assume if there is staff who cannot wear masks they wouldn't be the person to greet you as you come in. There's no temperature check or hand sanitizer requirement but they do leave the patio door open to keep it airy. This is the first restaurant we have been to since COVID and our waiter was at least wearing a mask and was extremely nice and accommodating, which made our experience a lot better. The service was quick and food was typical bar food and they are VERY dog friendly which is what brought us in. I'm not sure if I would personally come back during COVID because the hostess and a few other employees (who were distanced) not wearing a mask. read more

The waitress told us to sit at a table that wasn't sanitized yet. When an outside table opened up, she sat us at a table that again was not sanitized. A waiter finally said sorry and sanitized our table. Food is okay. My husband's French Dip was very dry. He said Twisted Fork? More like broken spoon. The wait staff were very friendly. read more

The food was very mediocre, the service was but but I couldn't get over that not a single staff member was wearing a mask including the owner who served us. The restaurant was very dead I assume it's over the mediocre food and lack of masks. I wouldn't come back and I'll be surprised if this business survives past COVID. I read other reviews to see if other people experienced and people experienced it even before the mask mandate was lifted for vaccinated people. Makes me concerned for proposed safety who come here. read more

Came in this afternoon for lunch as we wanted to try some place that we hadn't been to. The place was pretty empty other than one other table which I thought was strange for 12pm on a Sunday, especially since it wasn't raining. Service was pretty slow, again strange given there was hardly anyone in the restaurant. The waitress then told us that anything with " raw" chicken or ground beef couldn't be ordered because their refrigerator had a power surge and the food spoiled in the fridge. That should have been a sign to leave. We ordered, and the food was slow to come out. It was mediocre at best, and I never got the side of fries I ordered. Then, they charged $2.50 for a side of salsa when my husband asked for it for his nachos. Seems like a standard topping for nachos, so why is it extra. The final straw was that they charge an almost 4% merchant fee for credit card charges. This should be posted and communicated. Better yet, the merchant fee shouldn't be passed onto patrons of the restaurant. Needless to say, we will not return and we will not recommend this place. read more

Very disappointed. Out of the three staff members I saw while having lunch, including our waitress WHILE at our table, nobody was wearing their masks. Masks are currently state mandated regardless of vaccination status. This restaurant should do better and should be trying harder. The food and service here were great, and the location on point Ruston is a great place to wander on a nice day. We had the nachos, pretzels with cheese sauce, Philly cheesesteak, and tacos. All of which were well prepared and better than expected. The only improvements I'd make are to offer paper menus, they require you to either consult their website on your phone or use a small tablet that was impossible to read outside in the sun. Also, to serve ice water. They serve water in a glass bottle and with metal cups accompanying it, but there was no ice in the cups or the bottle. Then they decided to add an almost 4% fee to the check without saying anything so the owner doesn't have to pay the credit card company fees, (that is exactly what the waitress said) she said the owner does it because she feels like the guest should pay it. Also they don't have any copies of the menu so people who struggle with technology can't even see a menu. Very poor service and food and honestly the owner seems like a crook. First of all, great outdoor seating. We noticed right away that our usual friendly greeter was nowhere in sight. I think, but I'm not sure, it's been sold/taken over by someone else. They had paper menus, which they've never had before, which is neither a good thing nor bad. Just a sign of something different. No more sliders, which who takes sliders off a menu! The nachos looked like they were just broiled. Still, tasty. We also got the avocado bites. Those were surprisingly good, lots of different discernible flavors. Probably the best thing we got. The mushroom burger was bland and dry. Our waitress was great, timely and attentive. The final shocker was the bill. There is a 3% fee for using a credit card!!!! I didn't see that anywhere on the menu, so I was quite surprised. Not that 3% of $90 is a big deal, but I think it's bad business to pass on the credit card fee to the paying customer. Twisted Fork needs to step it up a few notches food-wise though. They can't compete with Stack down the way. read more

It's never a pleasant surprise to see a credit card transaction fee of about 4%, and know literally nothing about it until you see it sneakily charged onto *even a debit card* at the very end of your meal. literally *no* other restaurants charge this fee anywhere. and everyone pays with plastic. it's 2021. please stop doing this (or at least have a sign when people walk in the door that there are credit card transaction fees) (and then watch as they swiftly turn and walk back out the door.) Really great food. I'm originally from Houston so adjusting to Washington food has been...difficult. I got the brisket sliders and crack wrap and they were soooo good. Save your money and save your time, go somewhere else. We ordered 2 The Malibu burgers with 3 sides. It's took almost an hour to come out. For the first 30min that we were waiting nobody informed us that kitchen were back up or anything, not at all. After waiting around 50mn, the food come out after we were ready to left. Chicken breast inside that burger was so dry no favors at all. Then time for the check, 2 Malibu, 3 sides and 10%tax supposed to be $30.8 or let say $31 but they charge us $36.62. I didn't relized that until we got home because the waitress keep talking to me while hand it out and kind of wait for me pay. Now I have no clue what was the extra $5 charge for. As of June 26th wearing a mask in Washington state is mandatory. On a recent visit (the day after the new rule went into effect) I noticed that onlyOne server was wearing a mask (thank god he was our server). One server was wearing her mask on her elbow and taking sips of what looked like beer from a table of customers that was over the limit of the number that was allowed (5 are allowed - there were six). I noticed that the rule for wearing a mask by customers while walking about the restaurant was not enforced. If they are not following these basic rules what other rules are they breaking? They are not providing a safe environment for their customers. Based on this one experience I will not go back. One and done! read more

If anyone would have asked me for a review of this place six months ago I would have given this place two stars. But the new owners have been transforming this space, making it sparkling clean and slowly adding new menu options including -- at long last! -- some veggie options. The burgers are among their newest addition. I had the Saloon Burger with their veggie patty. It was delicious. The cheese curds were yummy for our family to munch on while we waited. We plan to come back for breakfast soon to try their new beignets. They're still experimenting with new menu options but already have made this a restaurant worth visiting. read more

This is our first time there. We are moving to the area and trying out local venues. This place has potential but they are not following state mask mandates for their servers! They put the public at risk. We sat outside but it is getting cold snd the heaters aren't working. My husband and i were walking Ruston point with my 12 y/o son his friends and our 1.5 y/o. Hungry and thirsty from walking around and shopping we looked for somewhere to stop and eat. Now i understand everyone rolls their eyes when someone walks in with children but my children are well behaved and respectful and my youngest barely makes a peep, but to be treated the way i was at this tea is DISGUSTING! We are met with a cold shoulder, seated right at the front with manager and staff working, we ordered our drinks and my sprite was so nasty, my husband worked in the food industry and when he let the manager know it was mold in the soda machine she laughed at him and told him he was wrong. We decided this wasn't the place for us and let them know we were canceling our order and leaving. They then proceeded to charge us for drinks not even made yet! I give this location a year max. I get that I was in on a holiday weekend, but it was bad. They were not busy and I should have known then. I ordered a hamburger and was brought a patty that couldn't be seen between two dry buns. When I asked about a tomato, onions, and lettuce I was told "no, that's why it's called a smash burger" ...The menu did not say "smash burger" or mention that it was literally just a patty. My husbands meal came with onions (and so much fake nacho cheese on his philly dog that you couldn't see much else) and as I sat there I watched other options come out with tomatoes and onions. Went here on Saturday and had our dog with us so opted for outdoor seating since there were propane heaters next to a couple of tables. After 5 minutes the propane ran out. It was very brisk out and so we asked about the heater being started back up. Never happened. Server kept making excuses for someone not getting out to swap out to a full tank. Table behind us sharing same heater also asked, since they had small children along. Stop apologizing wait staff and make it happen! It became like a joke after the first three apologies. Otherwise, food was just OK. Pork sliders had hardly any meat in them and lackluster in taste. Coconut shrimp were fine but a dinky little paper cup of dipping sauce that ran out after shrimp #3 of 6. Chicken nuggets were average, not much sauce tossed on them and the celery sticks alongside of them were so ugly on the ends, all darkened and frayed, been sitting in water too long and ends should've been cut off before serving. Service was very slow. Server making apologies because they just opened and got busy all at once. Only when we were finished with our meal was I offered a refill on my coffee which was the one thing keeping me warm outside! All in all, we don't plan to return next time we're at Ruston Point. read more
