Such a great find! Here on vacation and we were looking for amazing food after a long day of travel. Here it is! Although the pizzas looked amazing and eclectic we were intrigued by the kung pao meatballs, and two handhelds: carnitas & cheese and nachos libre. All were delightful taste combinations and filling! The picture attached is of the handhelds... we had grabbed two halves in delight before I took the shot. The carnitas were surrounded by a tomato broth that made great dipping. The nachos libre had a moist and sumptuous flavor that brought many 'ahhs' as it was eaten. Although only here for a few days we have decided to return to this place to try the pizzas! It is in an unassuming location, but don't be fooled... it has great food and was very busy on a Thursday night. Take out was hopping! They also have an outdoor patio that we did not use due to rain. I only gave it a 3 because i prefer a thinner crust. My husband however would have given it a 5!

We are from New Haven area so we are definitely pizza snobs but we really enjoyed Twisted Sheep. Their salad with pomegranate seeds was fresh and delicious, loved the dressing. The margarita pizza with burrata was excellent. Husband went back to try the meatball pizza and enjoyed that as well. I got the chop chop salad and it was fresh and tasty with the right amount of dressing so it wasn't soaked like some other salads I've had. But the real star of the meal was the French onion Mac and cheese. I shared it with my boyfriend but next time I'm getting my own because it was just that good. We have been meaning to try this place for some time. There are pizza places all over, but relatively few that are in my upper echelon. Twisted Sheep makes the list. We arrived rather early and there was only one family having pizza. (Were the reviews wrong about this place?) Dan greeted us and asked if we had been there before. He enthusiastically welcomed us and explained the menu, offering his take on the favorites. I always like it when someone is a fan of their establishment; it often indicates that the restaurant is a winner. He offered my wife a taste of beer as she was undecided. The first was a tad bitter, the second seemed to be more citrus based and she liked it. We argued over what pizzas to order. I'm oriented to try the house ""specials". We settled on a Roni Pepperoni and a build it your way to make my wife happy. Dan also convinced us to try the "French onion Mac and cheese" . Everything was excellent with the Roni Pepperoni actually being our least favorite as it was a bit too salty due to the pepperoni overload - but its tough to ding them on excess toppings. Other nice touches were the all-you-can-drink craft soda machine, funky ambiance, and Dan checking on us as though we were in a 4 star restaurant. The location is in a strip mall, lots of tables, clean space decorated with cool art, AND our pizza was delicious!!!!! We bought a buffalo chicken pizza. It was cooked just right, nice size for money and the dough was very good . We bought a few beers and had our pizza (inside), and agreed we'd come back again. There is also an outside place to set, but we decided to stay inside.
