One of my new favorite spots in islamorada. If you've never been, don't give it a second thought. Definitely try the tuna nachos and shrimp and bacon quesadilla with their mango salsa. Their rice and beans are also amazing! You won't regret it. It's definitely a hole in the wall and i wish more people knew about it. They also have a super cute boat with a table in it outside you can sit in and would make for a great photo op! Our server was very attentive and happy to help with any request. The shrimp was fantastic with lightly flash fried with a nice of brussels sprouts. Good value for the money.

Awesome food, and excellent staff who were upbeat, happy to explain the different dipping sauces and seemed genuinely glad to serve us (the sauces were all 10/10!). We wanted to try Twisted Shrimp last Thanksgiving but they were closed that week. We were happy to see it open this trip and we visited it our very first night. Though we weren't sure what type of restaurant it was going into the place, it was one of the better meals we've eaten at in the Islamorada. You order at the counter off a paper menu and take a seat either inside or on their outdoor patio. It is a small quaint place with only about 6 tables inside and another 6 or so outside. The food was delicious and came out relatively fast & hot. The only thing I would have liked better was if they toasted the po-boy roll prior placing the shrimps on it. Looking forward to our next visit to Twisted Shrimp. read more

I can't imagine anyone ever giving this establishment less than a 5 star review. I would give them many more stars if it was allowed. We had flown from San Diego to Miami, and just happened to stop there on our way to Key West. Growing up in Texas, I have a very strict code of ethics about the texture, batter, freshness and overall taste of what a fried shrimp should taste like. I have to say, they beat my Texas upbringing. As a matter of fact, we timed our trip back to Miami just so we could eat there again, and the second time was just as amazing as the first. Frank the chef is a superior chef and a very nice person. Bella our server was amazing too. Very efficient, kind and helpful. We will time our future trips to go there again. This is gonna be a repeat place! I got take out. The shrimp was fantastic, had a great spicy seasoning... and when I say spicy I mean flavor more than heat. The cracked conch was okay, I think it would have been better if I could have eaten it in house, I think it sat waiting for the other food. Fries were good. This used to be a really good place. New owners have changed much of the good things about it. Lobster bisque was terrible and the cole slaw recipe was changed to a heavy mayonnaise creation. The poboy I order came o n bread that was broke on one side making it impossible to eat. Will not return. So sad because the lobster bisque used to be one of the best on the island. Stopped on a Saturday around 7pm. Ordered a Shrimp Po' Boy, and it was amazing. The sauce was very tasty and the shrimp were fried to perfection, they were also very good size. The service was nice, very quick even through it was moderately full. Forgot to take a picture because of how good it looked. My wife and I stopped here for a late lunch. I had shrimp tacos with brussel sprouts and she had a cheese quesadilla. The shrimp was fresh and fried nicely, but was not greasy. The slaw sauce and mango salsa was all great compliments to the shrimp and added great flavor. The brussel sprouts were very crispy and had a good balsamic sauce on them. Quaint, local spot! I had the 1/2 lb shrimp basket with fries. Large portion, fresh taste and seasoned perfectly! My spouse had the blackened chicken wrap with coleslaw. Wrap toasted lightly, lots of chicken along with fresh lettuce and tomatoes. Delicious! We rode our bikes from the new Islamorada RV Resort. Will recommend to family and camping friends.
