But I got five quotes and from the initial estimator, Lee, through the office staff and operations manager, Rob, it was a very professional, organized experience with about the best communications I've experienced from a contractor. But the biggest shout out goes to the roofer they assigned, Felipe. Felipe was obviously very, very experienced, took the time to explain exactly what he was doing and was generally very considerate and patient with my questions. I called and scheduled an appointment. Lee Cox came out to give me an estimate. I had an apparent leak in my second story bathroom on the ceiling. After Lee looked at the area he told me that they would have to open up the whole area in order to do the work. It seems like they don't look at small jobs as worth the while. He was going to have another company called TNT Roofing because they handled smaller jobs like mine was supposedly. TNT roofing never called. I called Lee Cox back and left a couple of messages but he never returned my calls. I don't have time for people who don't follow through with what they say they're going to do. I called another company who came out and repaired my roof at a reasonable price a couple of weeks later. End of story. read more

I had a leak in the roof and got quotes and advice from a few companies. TWM was recommended by a neighbor who I think is very careful about who he hires. Of the three or four companies I had come out, TWM was the most thorough in exploring the problem and thinking through recommendations. At first I was just going to do the section that we thought was leaking, but as I talked to neighbors, they all had leaks over the years. So it seemed it would just be a matter of time before a leak sprang in a different section. So I went for the whole roof. From start to finish, I always felt very well informed. Tom, Rob, and Qing at the office kept me up-to-date about the weather, about coordinating with the solar panel people. They answered all questions, as did Deibys, the foreman on the job. I felt well taken care of and it seemed to me that the company and its employees actually WANT to do a good job. Both Deibys and Tom, the owner, said after the roof was done, "now it is OUR roof." Highly recommended!! TWM Roofing was one of five roofing companies we called back in 2018 to get quotes to fix some small leaks. We held off for a year, as it hardly rained for a long time, but were super impressed with Tom Marshall. He's very practical and just a really honest guy, giving us several options and his opinion on the best alternative. So when we decided to go ahead in 2019 and get the whole roof redone, we went with TWM. Tom said that, since our tiles had been up on the roof, baking in the sun for 35 years, plus they're pretty thick, we might want to just keep the same tiles and only get new underlayment. Doing a little research, we learned that the underlayment is really the waterproofing part, and ours was so dried out it was falling apart all over. Install was super smooth, everything picked up, no problem whatsoever. Great bunch of guys! Real test was when it rained. We had a little leak in the garage, his guys came out right away, quickly tracked it down and fixed it. Excellent service! That's the real test, when something goes wrong later. OK so, after two roofs, It's time for a review. Had a double tear off for my dad in San Marcos. The tear off crew was bad ass ripping the shingles off like it was supposed to be done yesterday. Next day they laid out the paper and accommodated my solar stanchion installation allowing a seamless integration. Turned out the extra hassle I put on TWM was not really worth the trouble since I ended up with 2 extra feet that went left unused. Let the roofers install the roof without obstructions because the solar flashings are better suited for installing on the shingles once attached. I like to learn the hard way. We also had 2 solar tube flashings installed, they deliver a spectacle of light to the bathroom with no window. Big Rains, No Leaks. Second house, 2200 square foot 2 story roof with 45 year old aluminum shingles. After getting 4 quotes I went with TWM because they were the only ones that got on the roof. I had one roofer decline our business because of the complexity. I was able to collect 1000 lbs of aluminum and 335 dollars after recycling the roof. DIY tear off is not for the faint hearted. After living with a leak for 18 years, we almost start to think that it could not be fixed. we had a low slope torch down roof married to our eaves and almost made the mistake of not removing and replacing. TWM accommodated our last minute decision to replace it and I literally found 5 leaky areas once I tore that last section off. Imagine 5 days of tear off too leave 200 square feet destined to leak. Lesson learned the easy way. Listen to the pros. Once you get a solid roof, discount your energy bill to offset the cost of your new roof. Actually had a buddy of mine come out and give me a quote that was about $70 more than TWM did. The only reason I didn't go with my friend is because his company continued to fail to return phone calls, so I said forget it. First, TWM estimate was very reasonable for the roof repair and maintenance for my 20-year old house. Second, they did an excellent job professionally. A crew of two showed up at 7am and removed tiles quickly, replaced tar papers, and laid the tiles again. In addition, they did caulking to seal joints and repaired or replaced damaged tiles. He spent some time to investigate the problem he told me that condition of the roof is really good and there is minor problem that he suggested that I can fix it myself, he listed the two items that I need to buy and how to apply the items on my roof; without any charges! We also wanted a gutter installed and the rest of the roof cleaned. Lee came out the next day after our initial request. He said it would be an easy, no brainer job to fix the leak, and he would have a quote out to us the next day for the extras. 11 days later and after talking to two different people at TWM, we still have no quote. We wanted to go with TWM because of the awesome work they have done in the past, but we will probably go with another company because of how long the quote is taking to generate. I would HIGHLY recommend this roofing company. We had the whole roof re-done because of a roof leak that emerged from the rains this last winter. We have a cement tile roof and being the house was 30+ years old, we felt it was time to have it all re-done. I obtained bids from 5 roofing companies and chose to go with TWM Roofing because they were (1.) A locally owned company and have been in business for over 30 years, (2.) They have many great YELP reviews, (3.) Several people on the NEXTDOOR app recommended them, (3.) They were the only roofing company that actually went up on the roof during the bidding process to visually inspect it, and (4.) We have a 20 yr old house and are in the process of adding Solar. As I was getting quotes from various companies, I received conflicting advice as to whether to go ahead and replace the paper underlayment on the roof, prior to solar or whether it was not necessary. The solar company I decided to go with (Stellar Solar) put me in touch with the roofing company they commonly work with, TWM roofing. Note that they aren't the cheapest roofers, but in my opinion this is the sort of project where good communication and quality work delivered is well worth minor additional expense. The team at TWM set clear timelines, down to the hour. The crew that came out to tear off our roof was efficient and very polite. More critically, we had solar installed as the roof was being replaced and TWM set all the right expectations. They worked directly with our solar installers to ensure there was a clear timeline for each step. During this process they were extremely transparent and clear about what we should expect, and in each instance, the expectations set were very accurate. I'm glad I won't need a roof replacement in the near future thanks to their good work. However, if I did, TWM Roofing would be the first company I'd call for a quote. We had some serious leakage going on in the roof of our office building, other people had tried to repair and we were STILL leaking. Tom put together a very comprehensive repair plan, and we were very happy with the results! We did have a small leak in the first rain, near one of our skylights, but this was not one of the areas which had been repaired. Tom said that since it had possibly been caused by their workers walking on the roof, they would cover under the warranty and patched it for free. They were out in less than a week before the next rain, and then there were no more leaks! We had some water/mold damage from the original leaks and Tom recommended a company to handle which was fantastic (and their bid was almost half the cost of everyone else we had been talking to). This is the second time I used TWM roofing for a repair. Our roof is only 10 years old but a bad design of the roof left us with a couple of areas that leak with the infrequent rain. We found the problems after we bought the house and moved in. The first time we used them was for a spot that had been leaking for some time and had caused indoor flooding before we bought the house. The previous owners patched the inside damage well but never fixed the problem on the roof itself. Tom came right out and quickly fixed the problem for a fair price. The second un-related leak showed up after a really windy rainstorm. Tom recommended a bigger fix than I expected but after he showed me the lousy job the home builders did when they installed the first roof I'm glad we followed his advice.
