The food here is pretty good. It's not outstanding, but it's yummy. They have a variety of vegetarian, and even vegan options, all carefully labelled. We really appreciate that. The service is always decent. It's really the ambiance that sells this place. After relocating to Ogden from a larger city (after living in a series of larger cities) this place is pretty much the epitome of charming. There was one morning we came for breakfast. We sat in our table looking at the old signs, the old fashioned bar, the advertisements for a magician. Out the window was the rest of quaint 25th street, old buildings, old signs, street lights. Two Bit Street Cafe is AMAZING! I have been dining here for years and the food is always well made and the prices are very fair. One thing that you need to know about this restaurant is that everything is cooked fresh to order, which does take time. Don't eat here if you are wanting just a quick meal on the go, eat here if you plan on taking your time and actually enjoying a meal. There are plenty of great local beers on tap and the bar is fully stocked (if that's your thing). The pork souvlaki is always a good bet for something lighter, every salad that I have ordered is super green with really creative accompanying flavors, and if you're going to order a steak, definitely go with the Steak James...and a side of mixed tubers of course. ;) read more

I've been here several times for the biscuits and gravy. The gravy has a very unique flavor however they never seem to get it right! Burn or doughy biscuits. I guess it depends on the cook at the time. You'll be here for awhile waiting on your food. Thinking of passing some time with a cold one forget it, they suck at actually pouring beer. I watched as 3/4 was head, she let it set to go down and poured more on top of that. So it tasted kinda flat. The service can be rude at times and when they are not rude they are strange. Lingering around and talking about their life stories. Not saying I don't appreciate a good story but their weird and I'm trying to enjoy my meal with my family. read more

Avoid Sunday breakfast at Two Bit. While I've eaten here a few times before, usually on Thursday nights, today was my first Sunday breakfast experience at Two Bit. I was unprepared, and am writing this review to help others have a more enjoyable experience. 1 hour prior: Begin hydrating. You should not go to Two Bit on Sunday without properly hydrating beforehand. It may take up to an hour to be served a drink. 30 minutes prior: Pull up their website online and decide what you would like to eat. You may try calling your order in before leaving, but I'm not sure if they take call-aheads. At the very least, you should be prepared to order as soon as the opportunity presents itself upon arrival. 5 minutes prior: Fill a camelback with icewater and make sure your entire dining party has made a decision on food. Once you have arrived at Two Bit, remain attentive. If the waitress approaches, do not hesitate to order. If you miss your opportunity, you may have to wait 30 minutes before she gets back to your table. Once you have placed your order, you may want to coordinate activities with your group. You should have at least 15-20 minutes to kill while waiting for the drinks to arrive, so depending on your group size, you may consider taking turns going for walks down historic 25th street to visit some of the local shops. Always leave at least one person at your table, however, as its hard to predict exactly how long it will be before the waitress comes back with the drink order. When the drinks do arrive, take it slow. Its going to be at least 30 to 60 minutes before food arrives, and you may not get a chance for a refill. Ration your fluids if you want to have anything to drink with your meal. This may not be as much of a worry if you came prepared with a camelback as suggested. The arrival of your meal is a critical moment. You MUST be ready. There will be a 30 minute delay in any request you make, so this is your last chance to ask for your check, to go boxes, or drink refills if you plan on leaving in less than an hour. I hope that this advice will help others planning to have a Sunday breakfast with friends and family at Two Bit. The food is great if you come prepared for the atrocious service. I was not prepared, and spent 1.5 hours of my morning getting an omelet. Don't let this happen to you! read more

Went here for lunch because I've heard they have a good lunch menu. For lunch it seems as though they have 2 on the wait staff and one in the kitchen so the wait might be long if they are busy. They have outside, inside, group and bar seating options which is nice. Don't try to enter from the back which some places on 25th street allow because I saw someone trying it and they were made to look stupid. The choices are great and it's not overly expensive. The sandwich (pastromi panini with cucumbers and tomatoes) tasted fresh and it came with some different side options. A group of old old old ladies came in and were seated and they waitresses couldn't have been nicer. Seemed like they were all the queens of England walking in. Maybe it was one of those red hat clubs or something but I did notice they were treated well. I would go back for sure. read more

We tried to eat there Saturday with a party of 6 including my mother in a wheelchair. There was no one to greet us at the door, and no sign to wait to be seated. We proceeded to move table to accommodate our group and we had an employee come and yell at us for moving furniture and not waiting for them. The place was half empty and we did not see the problem. She continued to mutter how impatient we were, and how busy they were, etc. After 2 minutes of berating we chose to go somewhere else where we were shown common courtesy and respect. She has lost business from three people who go out a lot. I had been there before and really appreciated the cuisine and the ambience but will not be entering that door again. read more

We have eaten lunch here before and the food was great and the service was good. So we thought it would be a great place for a Sunday Brunch with friends. Big mistake! We were unsure of the number of people who would be joining us so we asked for a larger table in the back. Once there, we were made aware of more people that were joining us and were told we couldn't move a larger table to join with the booth table we were at because they get too busy after 11:30am. When we arrived there were 3 groups of 2 each in the front part of the restaurant. When we left? The busy crowd must have been part of the ghost history because other than us there was no one else in the place. In addition, our waitress acted like she was being inconvenienced when we said we had another person coming... It took almost an hour to get our food. Which was confusing since the 3 tables that were seated when we arrived all had their food at that time. So the only food the kitchen had to prepare was for us. Some of it arrived ice cold. When it was requested to have hot food again the waitress acted like we were inconveniencing her. Some of the orders were wrong, but having already waited an hour no one wanted to ask for it to be corrected. Part of why we went there for brunch was for the $3 Bloody Marys. Which should be called Tomato juice with vodka and a dash of salt and pepper and a barely noticeable sliver of celery in it. I can' remember ever being this disappointed in a restaurant! We were the only ones there on a Tuesday evening, a little warm and musty inside. It took roughly 30 minutes to get our food after we ordered. I had the greek pasta salad with chicken. It tasted fabulous! Unfortunately, I paid $2.99 extra to add chicken and received maybe 5-6 small bite sized pieces in a big bowl of noodles and spinach leaves. The waitress was friendly and checked on us from a distance, as no one else was there. Overall, it was good. read more

This place was great!! A lot of vegetarian selections for my friend and the Garlic burger was delicious! We sat out on the patio which is small (3 tables) but it allowed us to have our puppy children with us. The waiter (Daniel) was very attentive, provided us with a wonderful magic show, and brought us water for the puppies. I would HIGHLY recommend this restaurant! Unfortunately we were looking forward to a nice brunch/breakfast this morning and the waiter (Jake) and another employee were not working well together, having said this, some of the ingredients offered on the list were not available making our choices slim and none, our waiter Jake should look for another job, his attitude alone made us feel we will NOT be scheduling another visit to 2 bit street anytime soon. I have tried to love Two Bit Street but I can't. Let me start off by saying the food never disappoints. Their breakfast is amazing and I even love the ambiance. The service, however, is terrible! We once waited an hour for our food and all our server could do was blame the kitchen. We left without ever getting our food. Today (Fathers Day) we were summarily turned away. They were "backed up" and not seating anyone. I asked if they were taking names (a fairly normal practice) and the server looked pissed and walked away. I will take my business to a chain before I ever come back. Or better yet, drive to Salt Lake. So much for bringing business to Ogden. read more

We got there about 8:10 pm and They apparently were closing at nine, which we didn't realize until after we had been seated and more people tried to come in. Because we had a party of eight they tried saying they didn't have room, when clearly there were plenty of tables available they just didn't want to be stuck in there longer then they had to. As we sat there waiting for our food we watched people come in and wait to be seated, as well as watched the pleasant hostess walk right past them and ignore them until they finally left. I understand that they were closing, but she could have politely stated to the potential customers that they were closing. Defiantly won't be returning. read more

We went in for a Valentine special dinner. We had reservations for 6:30. We were done with our meal and left at 9:30. The food was good but not waiting 3 hours worth of good. We nearly left a couple of times between dishes as they were SOOOOO slow. I recommend going in when they are really slow and not when they are remotely busy or during an event such as Valentine's. Their kitchen is not equipped to handle many customers and you have to w-a-i-t a long time. We should have known better when it took exactly one hour to bring out our appetizer. Also, my scallops were over cooked and were chewy as a mouth full of rubber bands. The dessert was a sort of pudding, and it was "chewy" too. I think it was kind of old. The rest of the meal was pretty good. Their tomato vodka soup was fabulous. Another thing, I noticed a couple that came in 30 plus minutes after us, the waitress seemed to be their friend and she seated them right away and they had their food before us...hmmm...... read more

What a shame that the service is so bad. The food was excellent. One waitress fur at least 10 full tables while a guy in a suit, the owner and cooks husband did nothing. He could not even seat people and get them water. No wonder four tables walked out before being served. The food was excellent. A place Is about both food and service. My husband went back a few days later and the same thing. One waitress, a different one this time with the man not doing a thing. Not sitting anyone or healing out. What a shame because he said again the food was excellent but the service was next to horrible. More people walked out. It gets two stars because the food was awesome. The food would get a four. The Philly cheese steak is excellent however very small. The service is just beyond horrible. I get so so so sorry for the poor waitress. It seems to the guy when people walked out like it was a normal occurrence. I really think this place needs to either have the hubby step up his game and help or have the dishwasher help out or get another waitress. We really liked the place and gave it two chances before leaving a review hoping it was a fluke. We would love to say we would go back but hard to when you wait 30 minutes to be waited on. read more

I use to love this place. Over the last year the quality and staff have gone down hill. I have had two horrible experiences in the last 3mo. The waitress was truly awful. She asked what we wanted twice after already taking our order but still managed to bring us the wrong food. Top it off we received our food before she managed to get us our two waters. There was 4 tables occupied, there was no reason to offer such crummy service. The food was not up to par like it has been in the past. Our bread was dry and the fries were soggy and over seasoned. So I just arrived here in Ogden, and I see this small cafe on 25th St across from the apartments I'm staying at for the next month. It's Sunday, so most of the spots to eat appear to be closed, but the 2 Bit Cafe has its lights on and the sign on the door says open. I open the door and realize I may have entered the wrong entrance, but then see the restaurant area connected to the part where I entered. I am immediately confronted by a red haired woman (I'm guessing the owner or manager), who appears to be shocked that I'd have the audacity to enter the restaurant. I immediately ask if they are open, and she snidely says "uhh...no...we close at 3:00" in a condescending tone. I apologize to her and begin to walk out when she starts questioning how I got in there. I explain that the lights were on and the door was unlocked, and she half way apologizes. The second I round the corner to exit the restaurant, I hear her complaining about me coming in...like an out-of-towner is supposed to know when the place closes and know to disregard the open sign and the unlocked door. A gentleman who worked there escorted me out, and was truly apologetic for this woman's behavior...and I did appreciate that. However, neither me or my ten other co-workers who are here in Ogden for the next month will be stepping foot in this establishment. read more
