Very disappointed. Walked in excited because it has 4 stars and seemed really nice. Waited 3 or 4 minutes for someone to seat us. The waiter seemed to be annoyed from the get go but brought us coffee quickly. We soon realized we had no silverware and when we waited for 5 minutes actually had to go ask for some and was told they ran out of clean silverware. We waited longer.. finally stood up and asked if we could have our order taken. The server I approached acted annoyed and found our actual server and said "we're good." And walked away. We sat down and had our order taken and immediately felt like we inconvenienced him. Decided to leave and let our server know. He replied with a blank face. Never going here again. I'm in the restaurant business and was completely willing to understand if there was a long wait but there was no apology or anything for their behavior. read more

Disappointed in this one. We took my 72 year old mom. Very nostalgic for her. She's from Ogden, and remembers when the Pappas Family owned the joint. I had the philly cheese steak, My husband ordered the cuban, and my son the tuna salad. What a wait...going on an hour after we ordered. Truly a gem on 25th Street. Stumbled across Two Bit on accident and it has become one of my absolute favorite places around. This is a super cool restaurant on a super cool street in a super cool part of a town I guess is not so cute other places. I met a guy once who'd been in jail a bit, had lived in Las Vegas, Compton/LA, Seattle, Dallas, Denver and Ogden with his travelling steel worker/boxer father. He was 6'4" and was 325 lbs of all muscle. He said the most dangerous city he'd ever lived in was Ogden. He said he got in 87 fights in 6 monts at school there. He said he had to carry a knife and almost always won but they still went after him constantly. But I digress. This TWO-BIT CAFE has a fun atmosphere and is in an interesting building. Go at lunch at get the CUBAN. It was recommended by a friend I trust and it was OUTstanding. Go on Friday nights to see a magician bend flatware. read more

Traveling through Utah with my dog and found this place on "bringfido.com". Hungry for some real food not fast food. This place was excellent! They accommodated us with our dog (which I truly appreciated), the place was nicely decorated, the waitress was kind and did a fabulous job of servicing, the food was delicious, they also have a full bar. I've only been here twice and each time it was ok. The first time I went in the middle of the day and got told they were only serving breakfast. Then people who got seated right after us ( like two minutes apart) they got got to order lunch. I was confused as to why we couldn't of, also the cook wasn't even in yet so our food took forever. Then the second time I take my family who are visiting, and they get the soup of the day. To my family it was spicy. Not everyone can tolerate spicy or even just a little spice. We told the waitress they didn't like them and wouldn't be having it. Well the bill comes and she is charging us the soups. Not the waitress's fault the owner told her she had too. Well then I kindly go talk to her and ask to have those removed as they were not eaten and didn't not like them. The owner tells her she can only have one removed. Then the owner says it's not even spicy in a laughing manner. Im sorry but it might not be spicy to you but it could be to someone else. I don't think that comment was needed and was very rude. I will never be going back there or telling anyone to go there. read more

Everyone says how great this place is... the food is good, if they even have available what you want!!! Gone there twice and both times everything I wanted to order wasn't available. They offer vegan options, don't even waste your time they never carry those items. Short staffed, we actually had to get up and get our own food that sat on the bar for 5 min. Waiter never came back to refill drinks and had to be flagged down more than a few times. I know he was overwhelmed and busy, but his attitude definitely showed that he hated his job lol. Gave it a couple chances, will not go back. Not worth it at all! Criddles has better food, service, and prices. read more

We have created a system to rate restaurants. There are five different categories and each one can get a maximum of five starts. Food: Fresh and organic. All food is made to order and there is care given to every entree. 4 stars Ambiance: Antique/vintage. This place has only been around for eight years, but it feels as if it's been there for at least a century. The attire and casual and comfy. 4 stars Wait: The homemade food takes a while to be served, but you can be thoroughly entertained by the co-owner/magician. 4 stars Drinks: Utah liquor laws suck. That being said, The bloody mary I had was delicious and cheap. The shot pourers on top of the liquor bottles fascinated and offended me. LOL. But it was a good. 4 stars Service: The staff is very friendly and helpful. The owners make you want to spend the entire day in the restaurant. 4 stars Overall, we give the place 4 stars. My wife and I decided to find a new place to eat. She had heard about the Two Bit Cafe and so we tried it. We got there a little after 12 Noon and it was a little busy but not too bad. It took 10 minutes just to have the hostess greet us an seat us at an empty table. I think there was just one person waiting tables and running the front half of the restaurant. It took another 10 minutes to get menus and another 10 to place an order. 30 minutes later we were still waiting for our order. The other people that were sitting at the table next to us still hadn't received their order and they got up and left. We waited a few more minutes and got up left ourselves. Our waitress never once checked on us, updated us with the status of our order, or in any other way made us feel like we were not forgotten. I will never waste any time in there again. If you go, bring your sleeping bag. Absolutely lousy, unforgivable service! read more

My favorite restaurant from back home! Two tips: Ask what the soup of the day is and ASK about the desserts! They are always amazingly good. The menu is huge! And everything is good! I always struggle to decide because I have never gone wrong here. My husband says the steak is the best he has ever eaten and this is a dude who eats steak every time we go out! I'm a vegetarian and there are a ton of choices for me, which is a rarity. Don't go if your in a hurry . . . service is slow, but not enough to dock them a star. The staff makes good company, so consider it an experience. Sometimes there are magic shows at your table and the magician/co-owner is very good. Oh, the breakfast menu seems tiny, but it is sort of "build your own" and that makes it massive. When they say something will be in your omelet, expect a hell of a lot more than you'd get anywhere else. I love my omelets chock full of stuff and they deliver. read more

We were not very impressed. Our waiter was very casual about drink hygene; pressed the pitcher onto the rim of every glass and let straws hit everything while giving refills. My salad was pretty good, but it is hard to mess up a salad. My husband's steak was not cooked properly and he was put off by that. He had asked for medium and got very rare. The owner seemed nice, but there were a lot of flies coming in and out of the back door. The back area where we were seated seemed like it was more of a storage area for the magic show than resturant seating. This place was great! We are hard pressed to find excellent vegetarian food in Utah when we travel there, so I was stoked to discover the many options on this menu. I had a mushroom Reuben and it was fabulous. The sassy waitress was great, they were baby friendly and it wasn't crowded at all for dinner on a week night. We love eating here! The chef is excellent and prepares everything fresh. Her husband also does magician tricks while patron's enjoy their dinner. The food wait is a bit long but worth it. I would recommended their two bit bleu chips, they are to die for. My favorite sandwich is the muffaletta. They have the best cold cuts! If you're looking for a warm cooked sandwich, the cranberry Turkey or the cuban are excellent choices. Their garlic burgers are also amazing! Heard about Two Bit on X96 radio from hell show. One of the hosts sister is the owner. Decided to go and try them out, did not disappoint. The Cuban sandwich was fantastic, and the homemade chips are so good. The service is a little on the slow side but that's to be expected with homemade food. Went on a Saturday after the breakfast rush. The Spinach Alfredo was also really good. Where else can you go that serves super delicious homemade breakfast all day Saturday and Sunday and also has a full liquor license. Even ordered take-out a couple of weeks later and again, was not disappointed. The food was hot and fresh and ready fairly quickly for pick up. Comfortable atmosphere, definitely a historic Ogden type place. If you want to break away from the same boring type food chains, this is the place for you. read more

Love this place! Been in Ogden for business over a week and have been here twice. Breakfast on Sunday morning was great. Good coffee, friendly staff, and a wonderful omelette. Perfectly Cook eggs with a very tasty sausage and fresh cut mushrooms. Tonight I had the Pastrami Rubin. Wow! Really well done. Fresh cut fries, and a new favorite, fry sauce! Never heard or it before, but popular in Utah. Also very cool, the restaurant is in an old tavern with much of the original fixtures. Nice atmosphere Highly recommend! read more

I visit Ogden often and always look forward to visiting this great little pub. They don't need to say pub in the name, it just is one! The gal takes your order, brings your drinks, and then goes to the kitchen at the end of the bar and cooks your meal to perfection. The appys are real pub food - Scottish egg, crab cakes and more. And I've not yet had the same thing twice, there's so much I still want to try. I do see some people complaining about the service being slow - so if you're in a hurry this is not for you. It's a pub, where we can sip our drinks and chat and relax, nibble on the starter when it gets to here, and have a good appetite when the main course arrives. read more
