    Mediterranean sandwich

I'm glad they're back! I ordered Mediterranean sandwich because I like it simple. They're tasty and delicious! The ingredients are wholly good!

    Wonderful ambience.

First off, what great ambiance! Love the nostalgic feel. The food is great, and they take a unique approach. I had the chorizo scramble, which has nopales, cactus common in Mexican cuisine. It was very good and I'm really glad I tried it. My wife had Brioche french toast. Again a unique approach and very good food. The server was fantastic. I'll add that they have live entertainment. Give it a go. One thing to be aware of is that EVERYTHING IS MADE FROM SCRATCH! Speaking with the server we heard of people getting frustrated and leaving. BE PATIENT!!! It's worth it. Your food is from scratch not preproduction prepackaged or made the night before stuff. I think the owner is the chef so your supporting a small female owner chef business in a downtown that is doing a great job keeping it vital.

    House side salad with sandwich

This is a small bar with a few tables on Ogden's 25th Street. The menu is posted on the outside window, which is important because I think many people pass by without realizing it's there. Inside, the bar is dominant and reduces the tables to almost a side thought. There is not a lot of seating here for large groups or many groups and I suspect that the bar receives the most attention at night and weekends. The décor was old and a bit cluttered, and I found myself thinking that so much more could be done to make it visually speaking with a newer interior design that emphasized the name and its theme. Muted, a bit dark (even in daytime) and blah. With the pleasant Jade as my server, I got the grilled Brie sandwich, which came with a house side salad. I ordered a Jackson Hole Soda (huckleberry) to go with it. The sandwich was good tasting and the Brie nice and warm. Evenly grilled. Though the menu said the salad was "spring" greens, mine was mostly spinach. It was light and refreshing against the warm sandwich. The offerings in general seem pretty good as far as variety goes and what I was served was accurate, tasty and relatively quick to the table. I did not drink anything from the bar but noted that the prices were very affordable for drinks. As an example, not many places offer a $6 Moscow Mule.

    "Medium" done steak

I normally don't leave bad reviews but this one got me. Loved the atmosphere of the place and our waitress was great, however we waited an hour and 45 minutes for food and it was all pretty unfortunate. My steak was cooked about ten minutes past well done despite being ordered medium. I'm not sure if it was the charring but "chemical" is how I'd describe the taste. One of my friends had an eggplant Parmesan that was soup-like. My wife's panini was "alright". Overall, I'd like to see a place like this succeed with that location and atmosphere but I can't imagine a business where you wait an hour and forty five minutes for such a meal succeeding. Reading the reviews, it sounds like they can do better, but consistency is nice.

After 3 years, we finally got back to this great place. This is a great restaurant with great food. The service is first class and spot on. Today I got to try their Scotch Eggs. Could not find them on the breakfast menu but, our server told us they moved then to the appetizer section as they are so popular. You get two eggs cut in half with sweet mustard and a spicy whole grain mustard. They were great. My wife decided on just a bowl of fruit. Very large bowl and it did not have any watermelon in it which she thought was great. Our server was very friendly and was always around to check on us. The only draw back I found was that I would have liked my eggs more runny as opposed to hard. But great food and service in a very old and unique building. So if you are in Ogden, drop in to historic 25th street and give them a try. You won't regret it.

Service was great. Food was delicious. Employees are ALWAYS extremely kind and welcoming. Down on 25th the environment is perfect. Great experience every time. I highly recommend going, especially when 25th street is having the farmers market.

    French Toast

Stopped here for breakfast this past weekend. Fast service and good food. I had the Eggs Benedict and the wife had the French Toast. Everything was yummy but I have to say the breakfast potatoes were delicious and unique. Never had anything like them with the three kinds of potatoes and ham. Definitely worth the stop. Even appreciated the interior decor that gave it an original feel. This place serves Coke products and parking appears to be mainly on 25th. Not sure if there's a rear entrance.

I was at a conference in Ogden and found myself on 25th Street admiring the old buildings when I…read morethought I'd stop here for dinner because of the reviews and menu. I'm so glad I did. Everything was on point from the start. The staff were wonderful, welcoming, cheerful and very helpful. I could tell the staff were having fun but also working together as a tight knit group. It was quite impressive. I started with a local beer, the Cerveza Roja by Ogden Beer Co., which was very refreshing and touch darker than other Mexican beers, which I really liked. I also ordered The Burger, medium, with fries and let me tell you it was one of the best burgers I've had in a while. Again, everything was on point. The patty was probably one of the thickest patties I've recently seen in a burger, all the ingredients were fresh, the meat was quality, and perfectly cooked (my mouth just started watering as I write this), along with the fries. The brioche bun was soft and actually smaller than the burger and ingredients combined which is usually the opposite nowadays. Seriously perfect. I also ordered an Old Fashioned, again perfect, and The Hole In One (Bourbon drink), also very tasty. They also have a nice variety of mocktails as well. Next time I'd like to try something else but not sure I can pass up that burger. The staff all had different favorites so that should tell you there's a lot of other great choices to try. I can't stress enough how amazing the staff and my server were. I also found out who the owners were and could see they totally set the example for everyone working there. The whole crew ran around helping each other out and expediting like a well oiled machine but fast and nimble. I had to let the owners know on my way out as well. I know where I'll be eating on my next trip to Ogden. Cheers!

If you're coming here, get the chicken sandwich. It may not be the flashiest item on the menu, but…read moretrust me. The flavor palette is just absolutely exquisite and will justify your coming here. ...and on that note. I had to wait what felt like an epoch for my delicious, chicken-y reward, and despite the size of the restaurant and relatively tame level of busy-ness, wait staff still took their sweet time and did not get bread out in a timely fashion. The ambiance is like 'millennial interior design final boss' - imagine being trapped within the pages of Magnolia Table, and everyone looks and sounds like the first Google results for 'hipster'. I wouldn't mention this if the smarminess of staff didn't compound the frustration of having to wait forever for like three pieces of bread. So, if you're in the area and have a refined palette that craves rich, delicious flavors against a backdrop of open French windows, I'd say go for it. The food definitely outcompetes the annoyance I felt. But seriously, get the chicken sandwich.
