I am moving out of Ogden at the end of the month, and of all the restaurants here, many of which are good, I think Two Bit is the only one I'll actively miss. I particularly love their breakfasts--the salmon Benedict is never less than top-notch. The food in general is always fresh and well-prepared and, though generally not a big fan of themed decor, the bar and other little touches nodding back to 25th street's wilder days come off as charming rather than kitsch. Two Bit STILL rocks! They've added some booths in the bldg next door. Service can take awhile because everything is prepared fresh, so just order a drink and soak in the historical vibes. Great place to eat when time is aplenty! Food is consistently delicious. read more

The kitchen made comments about us and waitress told us about them. That we were complicated and hard to please. They do not take substitutions and are put out when asked to leave certain ingredients off. I got the portobello mushroom sandwich and the mushroom was dry and undercooked and was mad I asked for it to be cooked a tad longer. Despite the chaos and disorder the waitress was nice. Despite great food this restaurant had the worst service in Ogden. We were there on a Sunday for brunch and waited for about fifteen minutes before someone even noticed us or said anything about waiting for a seat. There were three tables opened and clean but they wouldn't take the time to seat us. We then waited another ten minutes to get sat and should have just left. We waited twenty minutes for our drinks and almost an hour to receive our food. Our water glasses were never refilled, not once and we were never asked if we wanted refills on our drinks. Unfortunately there are other places in Ogden with great food and that know how to treat people. Everyone in the restaurant was furious with the service. People that waited for over twenty minutes to pay their bill were on the verge of just walking out. It was an extremely frustrating situation. Hope this is helpful to someone. read more

I rarely write reviews, but the ones on here are way too generous. & I would have liked to have read a more realistic review before choosing this place. My boyfriend had the pastrami Reuben (the whole reason we went there was the good reviews on the reubens because he loves them and pastrami) and he said the sandwich had no flavor & was cold in the middle. My salad was wilted & pasta very mediocre. The waitress was very sweet, but you could hear the cook complaining in the kitchen & yelling because we also ordered a breakfast item (pancakes for my 5-year-old) because the menu boasts breakfast is served all day on the weekends & it was Saturday. Neat decor... Nice antique feel. Ordered a chicken strip basket. Waited almost 10 min for it... and what did I get? One and a half prebreaded chicken breasts sliced into strips and deep fried. It also came with about half a potato cut into strips and fried, about 12 French fries in all. This bounty was about $1 worth of terrible food product, and they charge $7.95 for it. Either completely avoid this place, or DO NOT order the chicken strips basket!!! read more

Awful! The service, food, atmosphere and attitude from the waitstaff and owners were atrocious. I've never had such awful dining experience. Stay as far away from this place as you can. It was creepy from the get go. The cook sat behind the bar texting on his phone the entire time because it was so slow. I have to wonder if he washed his hands in between the ten seconds he put his phone down. The waitress looked and acted like a member of the Manson family, and when my friend ordered a Caesar salad she mumbled "white girl status" loud enough for us to hear, although she was as white as they come. Pretty sure these folks are out back getting high when the customers aren't in. The lady next to us ordered a burger that was ridiculously pink inside. Our food was mediocre, although the phone thing already left a nauseated feeling in my gut and it was incredibly hard to eat. When we finished choking down our meals we were lucky enough to be harassed by the transients outside, who spent little time caring how uncomfortable they made us with their cat calls. Bottom line is this..... drive as far away from Ogden as you can, and go eat someplace where there is a little class and you don't feel like you're eating food that has been prepared with hands that have meth seeping out of their pores. 25th street is one step above the homeless shelter. read more

Yes this café has been getting a lot of free advertising lately because of its "ecclectic menu." If people in the restaurant business are aware of how much food you have to have on hand to make all these items you would realize it's impossible to keep a LOT of the items fresh. Especially when none of the refridgerating equipment is working properly. They have no industrial dishwasher and you can just imagine how clean the wait staff really cares your silverware is when she's getting paid $2/hr to wash dishes, host, seat, provide menus, take orders and pick up orders when the loud and angry chef is dinging a damn bell over and over again. I have not once seen any server sanitize their hands after cleaning a table or handling cash. Everything there is NOT "homemade" as the cook/owner would like you to believe and I personally don't think a health inspector has been there in ages and if so gave Twobit a huge break for being a locally owned business. I love supporting local restaurants but at what price? You could get food poisoning, you could wait an hour for your food and pay for service that lacks hospitality altogether. Please do not eat here if you have food allergies or think you're going to get an amazing meal if you are veggie/vegan/gluten free because although they're options on the menu for such things they are often not treated up to a standard that I feel comfortable with. Long story short: poor customer service, long waits and an annoying "magician" that will "entertain" you whether you like it or not! Ogden is growing and there are much better options out there. for 19 dollars that was the worst steak i have ever had. think of it like chewing gum the only thing i liked there were the mashed potatoes and the coleslaw and sizzler makes a better steak and you get unlimited shrimp. prices are too high and their pizza was horrible for the price for 4 people to eat we could have gone to Rodizzios for the same price and the food is better and all the amazing meat you can eat. if you're old fashioned and like a sense of history the owner can tell you some cool stories and how Alcopone played cards in the back. but food wise horrible and over priced. read more
