I've ended up at Two Brothers Restaurant a few times now, and honestly it's because the food keeps pulling me back in. Everything I've tried has been on point great flavor, well cooked, and you can tell they take time with the ingredients. If I had to mention one thing, it would be the service. It could use a bit more attention here and there, like checking in more often . Aside from that, it's a spot I'd still recommend without hesitation. Found this italian gem while shopping in this area and we loved it! We had a nice family Sunday lunch, the pizza, pasta and even the salad was fresh and delicious and to close the meal profiteroles and coffee were the perfect ending! Everything is very authentic Italian. Just as if you were in Italy. They close for a whole month because they go to Italy to get the products to make all their meals for the restaurant. Everything I had was better than the last, burrata was the freshest I've had in years! It melted in your mouth and with a little arugula and prosciutto?? Yea it did the trick I'd order that appetizer 10 times over. As for the calamari, it was pretty much flaky goodness. Not soggy, seasoned perfectly, and crispy! If you're a fish love go for the Branzino, it was very tender and flavorful! This quaint little Italian restaurant is very unassuming from the outside. Located in a strip mall in Kendall, I didn't expect the parking lot to be so busy on a Friday night. Luckily we were able to snag a spot after a couple laps. The outdoor seating is nice and mostly shaded. Didn't feel too hot. They have a large menu of Italian classics. Our waitress was on point and understanding of our party arriving at different times. They had a decent wine selection. I ordered the Vongole. It was a great portion. A tiny bit too salty for my taste, but overall not bad. Very garlicky which I did enjoy. My friends who ordered the risotto were very pleased. Nice little family restaurant tucked away at the back of El Dorado in Kendall. It was a farewell gathering for a choral leader and my choral friends. Hubby had veal piccata, I had Chilean sea bass with mussels, shrimp and Parmesan risotto (yummy), linguine fruitti de mer, shrimp scampi to my other ladies at the table. We all shared fried calamari appetizer, and garlic rolls so no one could complain about smelling like garlic. We also had Sauvignon Blanc at each table. It was wonderfully put together and we all had a great time. The wall memorabilia was worth the read and pictures taken. It is a smaller, quaint location that gets very busy; but the wait is worth it. The food is incredible. Served hot and fresh. Never once had a bad dish. Barbie is such a wonderful server too! Went there for early dinner Waitress was extremely nice and very professional and attentive....however husband and I found food to be extremely bland. He had the spaghetti and veal meatballs. I had the chicken parmigiana. Neither had any taste. We shared the fried calamari which with enough slat and lemon on them were a bit better . I've lived in the area for 30 years. We went out for a night of axe throwing and some drinks and we worked up an appetite. The restaurant was open and we've heard so many good things we couldn't pass up the opportunity. They have plenty of seating inside or outside. The portions are generous, the food is fresh and the ingredients are very tasty. The service was excellent and something of a nice surprise is every Thursday they give you a bottle of wine. The prices are very reasonable for the quality and quantity of food. This is one of the better pizza places in Kendall that are still open. We grabbed lunch here on Sunday as a family and they were able to accommodate 15 of us! (10 adults, 2 kids & 3 babies) We arrived at opening time so everything was fresh and service was phenomenal. Walked in for a casual dinner with my wife this evening. I was greeted at the door and placed my name on the waitlist. I was told the wait would approximate 15 minutes. As we waited, several parties arrived and were quickly seated. An older couple arrived about 10 minutes after we got there and were seated right away. A little disrespectful on their part. I asked why they sat them before us and was told that they had called ahead, however, there is a large sign that states they do not take reservations. Sooooo after having been called by the owner for a complimentary dinner after my osso bucco review , I called several times today, got hung up on once and finally came in at 600. I was escorted to the owner's table and I reminded him about our conversation and even showed him my review which he did not even bother to look at. Rather, he stared at my blankly and no matter how many years times I tried to explain why I was there he continued to stare - at one point he actually asked me why I would come back if I didn't like the osso bucco! This is one of the best Italian restaurants I've been to. It's a little far from where I live but it's worth the drive. I didn't expect to find this gem in Kendall but it really impressed me. From the minute that we walked, we were greeted with a smile. The place was super busy even the outside was full but our friendly hostess sat us by the wine cellar. The owner came by and introduced himself. We could tell that he was proud of his restaurant and he should be because the food was outstanding. We started with the Gilled Octopus and Proscuitto and Burrata. That lemon sauce with the octopus was bursting with flavor and the burrata was super fresh. For the main entrees, we got the Tortellini Aurora, Pizza Primavera, and the Chilean Seabass. The Tortellini texture was perfect mixed in a tasty pink sauce. The pizza was also just a flavor explosion but my favorite was the Sea Bass. Perfectly cooked and the lobster cream sauce was to die for. The risotto that came with it was also so good. Al dente and just the right creaminess. As for dessert, of course, we got the Tiramisu. We could tell it was homemade and freshly made today. What a great experience! I wish I didn't live that far cause I'd probably eat here every week. There are other dishes that I would love to try I'll have an update. This place is perfect for groups and celebrations. Amazing place! We just got back from a trip to Italy and this restaurant feels like we are back there. The food is authentic and the atmosphere is great. A party of 5 arrived on a Sunday at 7 and waited maybe 10 minutes. We called ahead but they said they don't take reservations but they can write your name down to minimize your wait. they bring garlic rolls for the table and everyone got a side salad which uses italian vinaigrette. the entrees are very large portions. We ordered the Fioche de pera as an appetizer for the table. that was the best dish we all had. i ordered the shrimp scampi which was amazing! They have a generous portion of large shrimps. my husband ordered the ministrone soup and the vaca limoncello which he loved. The Chilean Sea Bass was really delicious. I was given the choice of risotto or pasta and I opted for pasta. The pasta sauce is like another dish with shrimps and mussels and tiny clams. The sauce was so delicious that when I boxed my take home extra food, I carefully scraped the sauce sticking to the mussel shell and clam shell. No waiting, the waitress was ready to take our order even before I finish reviewing the menu. The garlic bread was freshly baked and not salty with extra cheese on the side if we want more. I tried to figure out what made the simple garden salad so tasty and the dressing was I think vinegar but it really tasted so good. Maybe they have some special vinegar or added something to the vinegar to make the dressing taste good. We were seated outside and it reminded me of the restaurants in Paris where the dining tables were situated on the sidewalk with canopies. But the ambiance is okay, not formal but comfortable and clean al fresco dining. read more
