Really delicious seafood and friendly service. Found this place on Yelp and decided to give it a try for date night. My Bf wanted fried catfish and I was willing to try something new. I got a seafood boil with snow crab, shrimp sausage and corn and it was amazing. We both really enjoyed our food and the drinks were strong and tasty. We had no clue this place existed and I'm so happy we found it! I went to cycle gear and we wanted some good seafood. We are never around 40 that often so we figured we would give this place a try. Me and hubby got the hot Cajun boil and it was amazing!!! My older kids got the garlic butter boil and loved it- no spice at all like we wanted. My little ones shared chicken and fries with the bang bang sauce and it was all fantastic. We will be back! read more

COMPLETE FAIL!! This review is based off our hour wait FOOD NOT INCLUDED. It was a Friday night around 9pm when we walked in. There was 7-10 people waiting in the waiting area and about 5-7 people in line waiting for a table or ordering takeout. There were 2 groups of 2 ahead of us who were seated without issue. Once it was our turn to be seated we were told there would be a wait. We decided to wait since we drove 45 min to get here. After about 25 min we inquired about how much longer the wait would be, we were told they had tables available, so why are we still waiting. To top it off my boyfriend told them "we're on the list" the lady said "you'll have to wait than" but hold on you just said you had tables available..SMH..we waited about 20 more minutes before going to Joes Crab Shack. It would probably be a good place to each if they could get their act together!! Completely disappointed in the lack of customer service skills..pretty disappointed we didn't get to eat, the platters looked decent. Edited to add: the waiting area was the size of a closet and DARK..dark dark, be prepared to have people standing directly in front of you. This is my new go to seafood place, Its def a must try. Service needs a little help, and the drinks tasted a bit watered down but the food made up for that. I LOVE THIS PLACE...the food was excellent. No breading on the wings which was great. The seafood was well seasoned n plenty of food. The shrimp was cooked 2 minutes too long but still tasty...and thats only because its in the boil bag with the crabs that cooks at a different temp. Still, lower the cook time even if they r together n everything would be perfect. Service was excellent too. My mom stopped at this restaurant and picked up dinner to bring home...she went to Louisiana a few years ago and had crawfish so she ordered some from Two Claws...this food was horrible....I was floored the crawfish were dried up (we only cracked open 2) we were done onto the shrimp none of them were deveined corn was over cooked and mushy the 2 potatoes she had was the only thing that was eaten. My mom is 87 and instead of going back demanding her money back....nope we'll tell friends our experience and we'll never return...This place use to be Kenny's and the location is known for great food...I know people that have been there and had a good experience but us nope. Enjoyed my first visit. We tried to get in last Saturday around 7pm but is was just too crowded. Came back this Saturday around 4pm got in with only 30 minuet wait. The snow crabs were big and the shrimp were huge. l had Cajun hot although a little too much salt the flavor was good. Next time I will get the house blend which is a little less salty. The crowd is rather young mostly 20-30. The atmosphere is loud and busy. Not the place to go if you are looking for a quiet place to have a meal. Extremely long wait. Cool, heard a lot about you so I'll wait. We were sat at a table with a caution sign and a puddle of water under the table, mentioned it and the busser moved us to another table. Server came 10 minutes later and was clearly working tables all over the restaurant. Long story short, good food, Popeyes customer service . It was honestly a bunch of stuff that just added to the overall experience. He forgot blue cheese and a soda for 10 minutes, no acknowledgement, no haste with his walk despite running 5+ tables at once and clearly being in the woods. High volume place like this requires super skilled servers with great time management skills. read more

Came here last night drove over an hour and arrived by 8:00pm and was told they were no longer seating people although the restaurant does not close until 10pm on Saturdays. Management needs to seriously take a look into this and maybe impose a time limit at tables on weekends so that guests traveling from far away will not be turned away. read more

The fried catfish was bad - the meat was a grey/black spongy mass full of grease, not even recognizable as fish. Notified the staff there was something very wrong with the food and was simply presented with the check after taking the uneaten food away. No manager to be found and no working phone number to call. After a long drive from Richmond, VA, I was definitely needing a treat. The Cajun fries was under seasoned, it looked like I ordered plain fries. The kids catfish was awesome. The combo B with the signature sauce with spice level of hot was underwhelming. To me, it wasn't even a bit spicy. I guess I'm use to the ghost peppers they use in their seasoning in VA. It was buttery but not enough dry seasonings to have a bursting flavor in my mouth. The prices are great, and I do plan to try again when I come back to visit. I came in for lunch on friday November 29, 2019. I got green mussels and crawfish lunch special. About 1pm. About 2pm I was up chucking everything. They have changed the menu, sausage is inclubed with meals. Prices have gone up due to this. Lunch soecials are about the sane except for the alaskan crab leg lunch has been removed and replaced wirh boiled shrimp. There is enough to take home if you can't finish it. Regular alaskan crab legs meals are now $24.99. SMH. The sausage is cut in slices, it needs to left whole. Corn muffins would be a nice additive with meals. More counter top fake plants near front entance for privacy needs to be added. Love the new addition of more tables added to accomadate the crowds. read more

This place is good! I have been here twice already and I must say it is Slammin! Friday night was a bit busy of course but they bring your food out fast! Oh and the drinks are strong and good! We weren't a huge fan of the chicken (overcooked) but that's forgivable because the seafood was all cooked perfectly and had the right amount of spice. We were so disappointed by our experience here last night. We both ordered boil bags and literally everything was over cooked. You could also tell that the seafood was not fresh. Crab legs had no snap and the very little bits of meat had a sour aftertaste. The sausage was limp and pale - looked more like Vienna sausage. The corn was mush and lacked taste and the lobster had the consistency of over cooked chicken breast. I could not make it through the bag. Thankfully our server was sweet and took of the price for one of the bags since I did not eat much except the eggs. For the price, I will never return here. read more

Absolutely disappointed and irritated with their service!!!! We called ahead to see if there was a way to reserve a table and were not told about the yelp waiting list reserve. I had a group of 5 and we arrived at 5:15 pm. I am writing this review upon my arrival at hone now at 10:26pm there is nooo reason in hell why we had to wait nearly 3.5 HOURSSSSS to be seated on top of an additional 35 minutes while waiting at the table. I will never return to this poorly ran establishment ever again. The "manager" (or so she claimed she was) was not even helping the staff doing the bare minimum and smiling as if this was normal....I am not alone in this feeling as I witnessed multiple place complaints to her and she provided the same weak explanation and not helpful at all. When I asked how long is the wait as we were in the "2nd" place she tried to explain that the kitchen was backed up with to go orders when there is an overflow at the actual restaurant! I'm not one to tell others how to run their mf business but have 2 kitchen lines one running to go orders and the other in house orders, orrr strictly reservation only bc this will not be tolerated. I promise I'm not exaggerating. Ohhhhh and the best part as we were waiting these 4 hours total there was a consistent 11 tables cleared and opened!!!!! Please make that make sense, make it make sense y'all!! like how is this still operating and open is the real question?!? The waitress we had was great but there needs to be some reorganization ASAP from the top bottom. Truly annoyed.
