Awesome food, awesome service, great atmosphere with good music. Cash only breakfast place with ATM the biscuit was the size of my hand plus some my wife had the Philly cheesesteak omelette and it was delicious cheese grits is a staple of the south. Very good. I had the traditional biscuit and sausage with cheese grits. Dog friendly, our waitress treated our dogs and got them their own water bottle. Hands-down must come visit this place the next time we're in Savannah.

The only thing good about this place was the service. Jodeci was our server and she did an excellent job. They didn't have any diet drinks on site, which is Pepsi products, while I was here but was able to get a Diet Coke in a can from somewhere. Only get free refills on coffee and tea. I ordered the white trash hash and plain grits. They came out on separate plates and were lukewarm. The biscuit was super dry. The amount and quality of food is definitely not worth the cost. The ambiance is casual. I WILL NOT BE BACK!! FYI: 4% surcharge on card purchases.

Two Cracked Eggs Cafe is located on Bay Street. It is next door to a bbq restaurant. The location is close to the intersection of Abercorn and Bay Street. The parking that is right next to the restaurant is limited. There is parking on Bay Street and on other surrounding streets. This parking is not free, make sure to pay 8am-8pm Mon-Sat. There are some steep cement steps to get into the restaurant. Please keep this in mind if you or your loved one has a walker, wheelchair, or trouble walking. I loved the classic breakfast! The biscuits are huge! They are scrumptious. I loved the jam served with them on the table. The grits are great. My eggs & sausage were good too. The meal was so much food I could not eat it all. The restaurant itself is small on the inside. But the there are many tables of different sizes to suit different numbers of people. It is easy going and casual.

Unfortunately, this was a miss. We came here for brunch to celebrate a bride-to-be, and we were excited to get some breakfast. We were told the wait was about 15-20 minutes, which is manageable. We didn't get seated until about 30-35 minutes, which is fine, since you can't always predict when a table will leave. The girl at the register, poor thing, looked stressed the whole time we were waiting. I felt so bad, and it seemed she was doing multiple things at once. Plus, you check out at the register, so she was checking people in and out. Right after sitting down (this was uncontrollable), a waitress dropped a bowl of grits, and it flung all over the floor and onto my friend's clothes and chair. She disappeared, and our waitress had to clean it up. We were still finding grits on her clothes later in the day. Obviously out of her control, and I felt bad for the waitress, who looked stressed and frantic, too. After finally settling in and looking at the menu, I was shocked at how expensive a single meal was. The amount and quality of the food didn't reflect the price at all. I ordered the traditional, which came with two eggs, a biscuit, and either sausage or bacon, with grits. I got my eggs scrambled hard and decided on the bacon. I wanted to try their biscuits and gravy, so I asked if I could have a side of gravy, which she mentioned would be a charge, and I agreed. Didn't realize how much that was going to be. I also asked if I could swap out my grits for something else, since I don't like grits and I wouldn't wanna waste mine or their money or food if it wouldn't be eaten. They said they had no substitutions and that anything I added would be an extra charge. I asked around the table if anyone would eat it, and someone said they would try it so that it wouldn't go to waste. Everyone else at the table ordered something different. Everyone else's food came out quickly. Mine did not. The waitress mentioned they messed up my eggs and had to remake them, which I said was fine. It took her a while to bring out my plate with the fewest eggs. My friend's biscuit was ice cold and falling apart, so she asked if she could get a warm one, and the waitress brought one out. My biscuit, however, was very cold, as was the gravy they brought me. The eggs were the only warm thing on my plate because they had to be freshly made. I don't know how they messed it up in the first place, but at least those were warm. The bacon was OK. It was tough to bite, but it still had enough flavor that I didn't care. My friend ended up giving me half of her new biscuit that came out, which still wasn't hot, but was warmer than what she had originally been given. More of a lukewarm, where it was sitting under a heat lamp, is the best way to describe it. Since I was paying for it anyway, I figured I'd eat the cold gravy because one, I was hungry, and two, I wasn't gonna waste my money. It was $6 for a side of cold gravy. My friend decided to eat the grits, and it wasn't very good. They were very gelatinous. And it looked honestly gross. My other friend got the Montecristo sandwich and said it was actually good and warm, so I was glad for that since she was the bride, and I was sad that all of our meals were horrible compared to hers. Someone else got the crêpes and said they were OK, but they weren't as good as she'd expected. The girl who got grits flung at her got the River Street Rambler and did not like it. It was also cold. Overall, this is a place I would not come back to again. It seemed very unorganized. There was a sharing fee if anyone wanted to share, which is crazy. $8?! Also, my friends all got coffee and said it wasn't good at all. They didn't have creamer, only whole milk. I don't drink coffee, so I have no comment on that. I'm sad it was a bad experience/tasting for the group, but multiple other places are 100 times better than here.

I ordered the crab eggs Benedict, and while it came out hot, it arrived in about five minutes, which honestly felt questionable. I was seated right by the restroom, which wasn't ideal. The server was very kind, and the manager was also very nice, which I appreciated. Unfortunately, I felt the food was overpriced and lacked quality. The hollandaise sauce on the crab cake eggs Benedict was overkill and overpowered the dish. For the price, I think you can spend your money elsewhere.

Have been trying to get in here for years, as it's always busy. Not sure why, it was really disappointing. Decor is nice and historic. That's about it. We shared sweet pepper and goat cheese bacon, as well as a huge biscuit with side of gravy. The biscuit was freshly made and hot. The gravy was neither. Not very tasty and served cold. Heard another table offered butter or jam. We were not. The bacon was also cold and not worth the price. Also, we had to ask for coffee refill which doesn't happen when a place has good service. Honestly saw the large breakfast menu that looks great, but we won't be going back again.

The location of the cafe is great especially if you are out for an early morning walk in the historic district. The historic building is amazing and cozy. The generous portions of food were so delicious. The sausage, egg and cheese biscuit was so good. My husband had a ham and cheese omelet which he really enjoyed. The ham was shaved instead of chunks. We both had sides of grits which were very good. The service was friendly and a bit on the slower side. We did not mind because we were not in a rush. I would definitely recommend this place

Service was fast and friendly. My friend and I came on a Sunday and it was busy but we were seated after a 20 minute wait. The decor/ building is decorated farmhouse chic. It's a very cute establishment. The servings are HUGE. I was able to delete one half of my biscuit crab cake Benedict and the other half was brought home with me.

    a frame worthy receipt.

Breakfast for EIGHT... which included FOUR kids (one who didn't eat) ... kids who ordered from the kids menu.... BREAKFAST for EIGHT... a whopping $319.15. CHARGED us $11.95 for a substitute side of FRUIT!!!!! The espresso shots... OVERPRICED and burned. Imagine serving Cuban Coffee burned? Don't stop here for that. A waiter with long FRIZZY hair... squeezed behind our table ... as if we were in the way ... while we were EATING. If you're casually walking up to this place to get in a waiting line... and think this is gonna be a great brunch? Keep walking. Don't waste your time nor money. Keep walking ESPECIALLY IF you're a large group. When we walked up the large group table in the middle of the restaurant was empty there was no one waiting before us or after us and then they sat us in the back! and as we left, they had a four top sitting at that table! Andddddd the biscuit with Gravy... that one dish you're like "we never eat this at home" - TRASH And to the manager/maybe owner (bald dude) ... we saw you...we know what you did.

Yes reservations are accepted and should be done in order to get a good table inside or outside

Is this restaurant handicap accessible? It looks like it's upstairs?

I'm almost certain you would not be able to get a wheelchair in there. Unless there is a ramp I did not see. I think there 2 or 3 steps to get to the bridge that leads to what you can see in the photos.

I was debating between the Fried green tomato BLT or the Caprese Grilled cheese then our server Kristin suggested the mussels and that is what I ended up with and I am so glad I did. These were absolutely the best mussels I've ever had. The sauce was not the traditional garlic/shallot wine sauce but had more tomato and basil reminiscent of warm bruschetta. I had to borrow my husbands spoon to get every bit of that sauce after I finished my mussels. My husband had the famous shrimp and grits which he absolutely loved. He noted it wasn't overpowered with sausage like most other restaurants do but had a perfect balance of flavor. My mom got the lamb burger and also loved every bite. She loved lamb so as soon as she saw that she had no doubt what she was going to order. Both my husband and mom loved every bite. I can see why The Public Kitchen is so popular. The restaurant has some indoor and outdoor seating with a mix of tables and banquets along the walls. It was comfortable without being too crowded. This was my first visit to The Public but It definitely won't be my last.

Open only until 2:00 PM, if you're looking for breakfast, brunch or lunch, this is the place to be. Arriving at just about noon, the place was packed, but not unpleasantly so, with customers that quickly moved through the ordering process, past the register, and to the ample seating, of their own choosing (with limited outdoor seating available; but not preferable at the time, due to the spotty showers that also choose to attend). Beverages are provided as payment is being made, leaving no thirst unquenched. Needless to say, seating is immediate. With a cup of rich, flavorful, house blend coffee in hand, my daughter, Son in Law, and I found a seat with a great view of the market activities happening outside only moments before our meals were served. The Italian Panini, chock full of succulent mildly spicy meats and lettuce, covered proportionately with dressing (yes, I was given my own bite size sample) , was my daughter's choice; a visually appealing (although not personally sampled) breakfast platter was the pick of the day for my Son in Law; and, Salmon BLT, composed of one thick, juicy piece of salmon, bursting with flavor, accented by a slice of smokey bacon atop a crisp bed of lettuce, slathered in a mild, but tasty, mustard based sauce, between two halves of a soft , flakey, croissant that more than rivaled the size of an average hamburger bun, was my choice. It did not disappoint. At just under $45.00, before tip, all of this seemed like a bargain. If there could be a downside to this experience, and I would say there couldn't be, it would be that, when visiting Savanah, choosing the place to eat jus became a bit more difficult, with Goose Feathers now in contention.
