Two Fish cooks and serves great food! But I do have Two complaints: First, the appetizer menu is limited - often including unusual selections like octopus and calamari and skate. Not a problem if you like those - and I am sure they are well prepared. Second, Two Fish sometimes holds "special" nights - like last evening when the offering was lobster only. 4 courses of lobster only, then dessert. The problem here is that with about 32 customers and one seating, the time between courses was toooo long. Took 2 and 1/2 hours for dinner that could have been served in 1 and 1/2 hours. The courses however were excellent - wanted more of each course as soon as we consumed it! I'm just saying that I don't think their kitchen is set up for that many diners to start all at once - how big is that grill to cook 32 lobster tails anyhow? But, with the quality of food we are certainly going back! And no knocks against the wait staff since they did their best and were limited by food prep. read more

A birthday dinner - couldn't have been better. Our server was attentive. She suggested which of the menu were tops...and they were. The salmon was "to die for." The others, barramundi and tuna, were superb. Muscles as appetizer were as good as I've ever had. And the home-made ice creams were, of course delicious, but also fun. On top of the great meal, the quiet background music was well chosen, the opposite of musak. food was excellent! the price tag was a little unexpected but i see why they have such pride for their food! we weren't super hungry so just got 2 appetizers to split. we got the grilled octopus and the poached lobster. both were really delicious! you would think lobster is such an overrated item to get at restaurants... but two fish really nailed it with their appetizer with the bearnaise sauce and the pickled mushrooms. the octopus.. i mean it spoke for itself! it was cooked to perfection and great flavoring. there was nothing that i would want it done differently! we were off to a great start! entree, we each picked a different one from the limited selections... i got a seared skate wing in butter sauce that came with a bed of spinach and some other things for garnish. really cooked to perfection! nice light crisp on the surface to a light brown and the texture was still flaky and buttery~ the garnish were great with it! the choice of simple spinach was a nice compliment to balance out the heavy cream and butter~ not bad! two fish definitely put in some thoughts into their own version of the classic yet very popular skate wing. the hamachi (yellowtail) with bed of beet salad.. a very experimental choice and i think they did alright~ not my own entree, but from what i tried, it was very interesting. not sure if it was something i can eat a large amount of. the barramundi with chile... while i enjoyed the sauce and the compliments, i was not a huge fan of the texture and taste of the fish. there is really nothing wrong with the dish but if you're fairly new to world of fish, you might want to reconsider just to be safe. so dinner was superb and definitely unexpected from the burb of jersey lol. if you ask for me to nit pick though, there are some things i think they should revisit...for one, the guests at my table preferred the bread warm. i feel like this is the most common thing to overlook for restaurateurs b/c bread is not the star of the show, but you know what? it's the first thing the diners will come across! (other than their drinks of course) hate to say it but first impressions are important still. 2, the wait for the food took a little bit longer than expected~ they came by to let us know and that's ok since we had time to spare, but i had some concerns as the restaurant didn't look busy when we were there.. so i can't imagine what it would be like if it was a full house.. 3, the menu was quite limited and while that's typically ok for me, i would still add mayb one or 2 more items in the app and entree to add more appeal to diners. all in all, i really enjoyed two fish and would return! just have to make sure everybody is cool with fish that night! read more

Wow this is my favorite restaurant by far!! Their food and service is awesome!! We have been here several times and it never disappoints! The last meal we had the other night I think was my favorite. The octopus is a staple for the starters and we told them never to take it off of the menu! Then my husband and I had the tuna and cod for our entrees. The flavors of every dish are amazing and work so well together. Then we had the lavender pana cota with lemon curd for dessert. I could eat that every night. It was so light yet satisfying, with the delicious tangy sweetness of the lemon curd! We will be back soon!!! I am so happy that this restaurant is up and running during COVID!!! I love it!! People who are expecting the same quality of food that Little Fish had during its heyday will be disappointed. It's priced the same, but not even close to as good. Most things were overcooked and had a tough consistency. It also tasted like things were cooked on the grill and the grill wasn't cleaned because everything had a similar charred grease taste. The calamari was the bright spot. The consistency was great, although it had a soupiness which was a little strange, and the amount of olives and capers was overbearing. Service was ok. read more

This review is for the 5-course prix fixe dinner offered on Sundays. The plates sampled here were some of the most delicious, well-thought-out food I have seen. Unfortunately, we were very hungry at the end of the meal. The 4th course--what should have been the 'main'--was the same size as the two 'appetizer' fish courses. Small plate dining is my favorite, especially in the prix fixe style, but this is the first time I have encountered a main so tiny. Absolutely delicious food, but I won't be returning on Sundays unless I've already eaten my dinner at home. read more

This is the restaurant Haddonfield has been waiting for. The dining room is intimate and impeccably decorated. The menu is small and precise, which emphasizes that this is the kind of place dedicated to doing a few things well, rather than doing a lot of things at a lower quality. The dinner menu features 5 appetizers (mostly fish, plus a salad) and 5 entrees (four fish, one steak). We had beautifully seared tuna with heirloom carrots and skate wing that melted in my mouth. The housemade desserts were delicious; I'm not sure if they change nightly, but if the apple "crack pie" is available, do yourself a favor and order it, even if you're already stuffed. I can't wait to go back. In addition to dinner, they're doing a Sunday brunch; they also do a pre-fixe 5-course dinner on Sundays only. I want to try both. Given the decline in quality I've noticed at The Little Tuna lately (in my opinion -- YMMV), I can definitely see Two Fish becoming the go-to destination for seafood in Haddonfield. read more

The menu is structured to allow room for a starter, main, and house-made dessert. Beautiful restaurant and beautiful food. Noise level is on the quieter side, so it's nice for a date night. The only problem for us was finding parking. Overall, we really enjoyed this great BYOB and the food truly surprised us. I am huge seafood lover and my husband is not. He had the salmon and loved it. The calamari starter was fantastic!! Generally, I don't like calamari unless it's fried because many places don't do it right. This was so good! The calamari was so tender it was like pasta. Outstanding! We could not be more excited to have a restaurant like this in our neighborhood after moving away from little fish. Calamari starter recommended by Felice was quite good, perfectly balanced. Skate wing was just as we remembered - one of the best dishes we've ever had. Baramundi was well prepared but not our favorite. Dark chocolate budino for dessert pleasantly surprises you with some jalapeño. Service top notch, Felice made us feel like her guests. Went for the Sunday 5 course pre-fix menu and it was a very enjoyable experience. Food was very tasty and thoughtfully crafted. Service was friendly and they explained every dish well. Dinner was about 2 hours which made the experience more enjoyable as we could really relax and enjoy ourselves without feeling rushed. I will admit the portions were very small, my husband left hungry but I still think they deserve 5 stars since the food was very high quality and the price is very reasonable. Perhaps serving some bread might make up for the smaller portion sizes. Atmosphere was very classy and BYOB is always a nice plus. read more

I went on a Sunday. They offer a 5 course fixed menu. Every single dish I had was excellent. The food was so fresh and delicious. The staff that served us was top notch. Very polite and helpful. Each dish I was served was explained to me and all food came out in perfect timing. Price was appropriate for the dishes I received. Chef's meal plan did not leave us walking away hungry. If anything I wanted more only because each serving I had was so damn good! I will definitely be coming back. I highly recommend you visit this establishment. You will not be disappointed. read more

Went last night. Three appetizers - mussels, octopus and shrimp. Just simply great. Enough of a portion to satisfy and the accompanying sauces etc. topped off their unique taste. Mussel sauce - I could have swam in that! Barramundi and Tuna for main dishes. Tuna the best dish of the night. With collard greens having black eyed peas, smoked pork and onions in it, it basically complemented a perfectly cooked rare tuna dish. Wow. Dessert of banana cake with caramelized roasted cashews. My first visit, with high expectations from prior dining at Little Fish. Well they did not disappoint! I'm amazed at how the chef uses different spices and textures to prepare fish. The flavors that hit my palate was like a party in my mouth on every bite and uniquely different than I've ever had. I had the Octopus app (best I ever had) and Barramundi for my main meal. The tender fava beans soaked up the flavors of the broth with spices and peppers and was absolutely fabulous! Great service, intimate atmosphere, I'm afraid unless they have plans to expand, it might get difficult to make a reservation as word gets out about this yum fish lover's restaurant! Amazing! This was the best meal I've had since moving to NJ. Everything was spectacular -- the food, the service, the ambiance. We tried quite a few dishes and each one was unique, fresh and absolutely delicious! I highly recommend trying the seafood charcuterie. The combination of all the goodies included in this spread was simply mind-blowing. Oh and the desserts! Just when you thought it couldn't possibly get better - we had a moist chocolate cake with dark cherries and homemade almond ice cream. My wife and I have always enjoyed the cooking of Michael Stollenwerk, both at Little Fish and at Fish. Michael is an excellent chef and he is especially adept at cooking fish. We have not tasted Michael's cooking for a while, but he is back and cooking wonderful meals at Two Fish. Ambiance: an intimate small dining room, 30-34 seats. Simply decorated and clean. Service is professional, efficient, helpful and casual. Food: mostly fish/seafood. On Sundays, Two Fish returns to its Little Fish roots with a $28 dollar five course prix-fixe. It is a wonderful combination of fresh seafood and creative sides and an occasional salad. Michael offers different fish, i.e. barramundi, Spanish mackerel, salmon/salmon belly etal, different shellfish, with wonderful sides and sauces. The Sunday dinners are nicely paced as well. Michael and Felice recently became parents. Congrats to them. We look forward to returning to Two Fish soon. read more

our family went here last night for my mom's birthday - was a great place! everything we had was top notch! the octopus appetizer was up there with the best octopus we've ever had. the atmosphere is very nice - it's a small place so i imagine it could get noisy but we were there early and it was quiet. the service was great and very helpful making good recommendations and giving helpful info to make good decisions. and the chocolate mousse dessert was AMAZING! we will definitely be going back soon. read more

This boutique restaurant is the best new eatery to open in many years! No longer need to go to Philly for that special meal! We did not just eat - we savored every bite and taste! Our table had starters of muscles in a broth like no other and Diver scallops that we would like to order the next time as an entree. Our entrees were Pastrami seasoning crusted Salmon, Barramundi and Spanish Mackeral all served cooked to perfection. Everything was so fresh and no fishy smells. Short Story: One of the top five meals I've ever had. Long Story: My wife and I stumbled across this slightly hidden gem late on a Saturday night and were fortunate enough to get a table after a reasonable wait. It's run by a husband and wife team which added to the charm. The decor was beautiful and everything from the accent wall to the table and chairs was picked out (and in some cases made by!) the young couple. Just walking in and taking an initial glance, it was clear that a lot of passion went into everything. Each table had it's own unique set of chairs that somehow all seemed to match. The menu was concise, which to me is a sign that the chef focuses on the dishes they know that they will knock out of the park. It's BYOB but they also carry a few wines from a local vineyard. Since we stopped in spur of the moment, we didn't have wine with us so our waitress (the wife) waited until after we placed our order and recommended a bottle. (It was one of the cheaper ones on the menu which I appreciated, because it was clear she was considering our dining experience and not her check total.) Just from trying the infused oil they brought out with their fresh baked bread, we knew the meal was going to be special. My wife and I split the parsnip bisque and broken scallops for an appetizer. The soup was amazing with great bites of crispy yet soft home made croutons and it wasn't even slightly heavy despite having the creaminess you'd want in a bisque. The scallops were done perfectly and probably the best I've ever had. For dinner, my wife had the tuna steak rare. She usually only orders it from a place in LBI as she doesn't think anyone else could compare but she thought Two Fish's dish was just as good if not better. I am usually a red meat guy but contemplated giving fish a chance and so the waitress talked me into getting the skate wing. It was amazing as were the fingerling potatoes and green beans that came with it. All three of the desert options sounded amazing and after finally picking two of them, the waitress arrived with the third one as well on the house so that we could try each one. Each dessert came with a scoop of a different homemade ice cream and they were all amazing. The entire meal was one of the best I've ever had and the whole experience was awesome. If felt like we were in someone's home and the limited seating gave the wife an opportunity to connect with all of the guests while remaining completely non-intrusive.
