Make Build Your Own Calzone - with meatballs , pepperoni , eggplant prosciutto
    Helen B.

First time ordering, Order was ready very quickly, clean and cozy atmosphere. we got Calzones, the ricotta cheese is just amazing in it and everything is seasoned just right. I love the choice of Build your own calzone , I was able to customize it with excellent ingredients that included meatball, pepperoni with great flavor, eggplant with creamy texture and prosciutto that was very flavorful and top quality We found our Italian place in Glendale, thank you for this great experience.

Calzone: pepperoni, black olive, meatball, bacon

My wife and I got calzones, mine was pepperoni, meatball, black olive, and bacon. It was easily the best calzone I've ever had (the Ricotta was a nice touch). The staff who helped were friendly. There wasn't flashy signage outside to help you find them, but inside is very nice. We took our food to go, but will definitely be back for a date day.

    Veal Parm and risotto seafood.

Glendale jen for Italian food. You can easily miss it on verdugo Blvd under the bridge. Interior looks amazing with Italian decor and music. Great service and food. Wife has the risotto seafood and I had the veal. Kids eat pizza and fries. Wait is short and food is great. Definitely recommend

Amazing atmosphere, delicious food. The pizza was spectacular. The service was very good, wait staff were attentive. The owner even greeted our table to ensure we were being taken care of. Would definitely come back, I want to try the Veal Parm sandwich.

    Gray mushy "eggplant parm". Terrible.

Picked up a to-go order and the Eggplant parm was gray, mushy, had a layer of water sitting at the top of the food container and smelled off. I should've known something was off bc the middle bottom of the container was still cold. Cannot recommend.

A Birthday Dinner Full of Memories, Flavor, and Garlic Knots Two Guys from Italy - 405 N Verdugo Rd, Glendale, CA Yesterday was my birthday, and like any proper foodie (and chef), I had strong opinions about where we should celebrate. My friends--God love them--know how picky I am when it comes to restaurants, so it's usually a bit of an ordeal deciding where to go. Luckily, they love me enough to put up with it! Originally, we planned to try a new French spot in Sierra Madre, but when my friend called to make a reservation, we found out they're closed on Tuesday nights. With plans quickly changing, I finally admitted something I'd been holding back: I'd been dying to return to Two Guys from Italy--an Italian restaurant that used to be my favorite place to go with my ex. That emotional tie is probably why it took me so long to go back. When we pulled up, my friend commented that it didn't look like much from the outside. But once we were seated inside, they understood the charm--warm Italian music, cozy atmosphere, and that familiar, comforting feeling you only get at a place that is authentically Italian. We started with water and a basket of garlic knots ($3.99). They typically come with a side of marinara, but I remembered they also serve them with an a la checca sauce ($3.25)--a mixture of fresh tomatoes, garlic, basil, olive oil, and Parmesan. I broke open a knot, spooned the mixture on top, and voilà--bruschetta knots! (Is that a thing? It should be.) I brought my own bottle of Sonoma-Cutrer Chardonnay--because like food, I'm picky about my wine, and happily paid the corkage fee. My friend Chris ordered a glass of the house Cabernet, which she found impressively smooth and not overly acidic, as house wines can sometimes be. As for dinner, I didn't need to look at the menu--I was there for my favorite: Frutti di Mare ($24.99). It's loaded with fresh seafood--clams, mussels, scallops, shrimp, and calamari in a creamy tomato sauce over pasta. Every bite was as heavenly as I remembered. Susy ordered the Carrot Soup, a velvety purée of carrots, potatoes, and onions, followed by the Veal Marsala served with spaghetti in red sauce and a side of steamed broccoli, carrots, and zucchini. Jerry, the owner, mentioned that due to recent laws, he now has to travel over an hour just to source veal, so if you're craving veal, this is the place to get it. Chris had the Ravioli al Pomodoro ($16.99), choosing the cheese-filled ravioli in a pink sauce. From the first bite, she was raving. The portions? Generous. We all had enough to take home. But we all wanted to be sure we left room for dessert. * Lemon Mascarpone Cake ($6.99) - Light, citrusy, and refreshing * Cannoli ($6.99) - Classic, crisp shell and creamy filling * Chocolate Mousse Cake ($6.99) - Rich, smooth, decadent (my favorite of the three) Susy also ordered a cappuccino to go with her Lemon Mascarpone Cake. Honestly, I wish I had another slice of that chocolate mousse cake right now to go with my leftovers that I couldn't stop thinking about all day. We couldn't have all been happier about our meals, and I can't believe it took me so long to share this restaurant with my best friends. There were so many other dishes we wanted to try, including the pizza, but we'll save those for next time. And trust me, there will be a next time. If you're looking for authentic Italian cuisine, an extensive menu, warm hospitality, and extremely reasonable prices, you have to check out this hidden gem in East Glendale. They also offer: * Free delivery in Glendale * A private room for events * Catering services Call ahead or just show up--but make sure you bring your appetite. We're already planning our return.

From when you come in great service to amazing food, I LOVE the place. Two Guys from Italy ambiance makes me feel like I'm in Italy. . Jerry, the owner makes you feel like home. I can come in everyday. Price is affordable, portions are big and the Pizza is to die for.

This place is surprising. Outside it doesn't look like much. Just walk in and your impression will change. First the aroma, it smells like you are going to enjoy your meal.I got an antipasto salad. Fresh, and plentiful ., and lasagna. Very cheesy .. it comes with garlic knots.

    Fettuccine pink sauce, chicken

I see a lot of negative reviews and I went and tried this place. The food was really good and filling I have no complaints, especially for the price. The portions were big! Also, the service was quick and the server was very nice. Not sure how someone could give this place such a low rating. Maybe they just had a bad day. I will definitely be coming to eat here again. This place deserves more business.

    Garlic knots - soooooo good.

I enjoyed my salad and my friend's pasta looked delicious. I was able to customize my salad a bit by asking for more chickpeas instead of salami. Surprisingly, I had to take some of the salad home because I wasn't able to finish it like I originally thought. They have complimentary bread with olive oil and balsamic vinegar as well. Slightly pricier than what I was expecting but I enjoyed my experience and the food here so I didn't mind paying what we did. Frugal auntie tips: 1) if you're a Caruso rewards member, you can redeem your points to get a discount here. I had enough points to get $25 off my meal here. 2) they validate for parking at the host's station.

We were a party if 2 and didn't mind the 30 minute quoted wait but we got really lucky that 2 guests at the bar got up right at the same time, plus, the world cup was on so it was perfect timing and we decided to join the bar instead. There were 2 Bartenders and what looked to be a bar back on with no guests to our side of the bar, but 3 guests sat on the other side of the pillar with food already down. We sat there without being offered menus, waters, cocktails, or even a hello, for nearly 10 minutes before I got the attention of the female bartender who seemed a little unhappy about having to stop washing dishes to bring us menus. We ordered drinks with her and looked over the menu. Well, now that she knew we were there, certainly, we'd get service, right? Nope, not once did she check if we were ready to order, nor did the other bartender or the bar back. But one of them did go joke with the 3 gentleman on the other side. I again called her over letting her know we were ready to order apps and she put those in. We didn't get one of them because we asked about a specific ingredient being inside one and she didn't know so she asked the other bartender who said, no, there shouldn't be. Then with all certainty she came and told us no, the ingredient wasn't in there... at no point did she think to ask a manager or chef, even after I asked if she was sure. Anyway, she didn't come back to see if we were ready to order entrees before the apps came out. Honestly the 2 stars on service was for the exceptional food runner who put our food down and immediately saw we were not even set up with utensils or plates and he immediately went to the bartenders and told them to grab them for us... at least someone cared. The side plates took a second because they only had 1, and it was dirty (we know because they first gave it to us before we pointed it out), but then the male bartender got us clean ones. We then asked if someone could take our entree order when they had a second. Oh, and I should point out that a lady sat next to us, she immediately received a menu, utensils and had her full order in before she came over to check on us. By the time the entrées came out, we were kind of over it and were just glad to have food. At some point while eating, I flagged her for another drink, at this point she asked if we by chance wanted any bread... there's bread? Um, yes, we do please. (this would have been so great while we were waiting). Anyway, I was really looking forward to eating here and was so disappointed that no one really seemed to want to provide us service. Thank goodness the world cup was playing because otherwise we would have just been staring at a wall. The food was good, but I really hope the bar hospitality doesn't reflect the entire team.

I was reading this page and saw mixed reviews, so I decided to try it with my son and make my own determination. They have no parking but thankfully we found a spot on the side street. The restaurant is located on the ground level of an apartment building. They also have outdoor seating, but we sat inside. One restroom each for men/women (and super clean). We walked in and got a pleasant greeting from Mia. She was HANDS DOWN the best part of this experience and provided stellar customer service. She is so young and has a bright future ahead of her. Mia treated us with genuine kindness and was a pleasure to talk to during our dinner. She made sure we were well taken care of and our orders were to our exact specifications. This restaurant is very lucky to have someone as good as her working there. For our appetizers, we got the Cesar Salad ($17), Parmesan on the side, and Bruschetta ($17). I also asked Mia if they bring complimentary bread to the table and she said they do, upon request. She asked if we wanted olive oil or butter and I chose butter. My son and I both enjoyed the Bruschetta and thought it tasted very good. The bread was nicely toasted and the tomatoes were seasoned well. It was also a good portion, easily shareable between 2-3 people. The salad wasn't our favorite and we've definitely had better at other restaurants. The lettuce didn't taste too fresh and the dressing wasn't really that good. The portion size was good, though. For my entrée, I got the Spicy Rigatoni ($22) but I asked for it to be light on the spice and added shrimp (+$12). It tasted fine, nothing really to write home about. I had to ask Mia to microwave it for a minute because it wasn't hot. My son ordered the Chicken Parmigiana ($23) but asked for the chicken to be grilled instead of breaded. He said he enjoyed his dish and the tomato sauce had a good amount of garlic in it. For dessert, Mia was kind enough to bring out a complimentary Key Lime Cheesecake since she found out my son is celebrating his birthday in a few days. She was seriously impeccable. Honestly, the place is just really drab and boring. There isn't much decor and it feels like a slightly elevated diner that serves beer and wine. It was a Friday night and there was no one in there/no pickup orders. We were there from about 7:30pm-10pm when they closed and only 3 other parties came in. There is no music playing, which makes the atmosphere even more drab and lifeless. Its also super cold in there and I asked Mia to adjust the AC and even after she did, it was still cold. It's not an upbeat type of place at all but the food is decent and Mia's service is the best part. She herself is 10/5 stars, but for my overall experience, I'll stick with 4 stars this time.

She explained that they were short-staffed and had two brand new servers last Sunday and that she was frantically trying to take care of the cooking and the serving as well as greeting newcomers. I appreciate her taking the time to get back to us and being so candid and self-effacing. It seems it was a confluence of unfortunate factors that led to us having a sub-par experience at a respected restaurant.
