My friends and I have been to this restaurant twice. The first time was in February. Service was terrible, food not bad, etc. and overpriced drinks. I complained and received a $50 gift certificate. went back Friday. We just sat ourselves. Did have drink menu and was told happy hour was almost over. Ordered 2 margaritas and one glass of wine. Took 15 minutes, margaritas were send back. They then order glass of wine and Sangria. Another 15 minute wait. Food was more than a half hour wait and we had to get the manager involved. The item that involved no cook (salad) came out last, the other two entries came one at a time. Food was fine for everyone but me. It was way too hot. Had to ask for chips and butter. To top it off, the charged me $10.00 Valet (did get that back). I decided not to even write to them again, and just not go to or recommend. read more

We had such a great time at the Two Mules Cantina during our stay at Texican Court! We went on a Saturday afternoon and they had food and drink happy hour which is rare. Their Paloma was tasty and I highly recommend the flautas. Our server Edgar was extremely personable and knowledgeable about the various questions we had. We went back for dinner and had the nachos and listened to some live music. Everyone was socially distanced and relaxed. We will definitely be back read more

The service is so bad it's hard to even get past it. There are never many customers so it's not like the servers are busy. They just don't care or don't know that they are supposed to ask you what you would like to order and then bring it to your table and then bring you a bill to pay so you can leave. Then there's the food. Absolutely nothing spectacular. And here's a hint - take the corn off the cob for the elote. And how about bringing plates for appetizers since those are generally shared. It's almost like they take the least amount of effort in running a restaurant. If you are a guest at the hotel you really should take a few extra steps and try out the many restaurants at Toyota Music Factory that are ten times better in service and food. read more

I really hope the positive reviews for this place are real, but that was NOT our experience. We arrived at 5:45 Friday. Several available tables but no hostess, no drink or food menus, no server. The only food we saw was chips and dip on 1 table. We finally went to the bar and ordered our own drinks. We were told that they couldn't find the box of menus and that the wait for food would be long. We asked to pay for our drinks so we could leave. 10 minutes later, no bill yet, we put money on the table and left. read more

The food was actually pretty good. Good enough that my husband and I returned for a second visit, however, the management is horrendous. We, along with another table, were watching a show on the TV and the manager (or owner) asked if we wanted sports to be on instead. We all stated we liked what was on, yet he changed it to sports anyway. When 9 customers squeezed themselves into a table meant for 4 next to us and were screaming so loud my husband and I couldn't hear one another, we tried to move tables. We were informed that was impossible and the entire restaurant was reserved. The waiter and management made zero efforts to quiet the group or to accommodate our seating situation. They were blatantly rude. It was so outrageous we left after our appetizer and won't be returning. Overall, we enjoyed the food. Too bad the manager (or owner) made a negative impact on both of our visits and will ruin the place. We had planned to stay at the attached hotel for a few days soon and host a dinner there for a work event, but we will be looking elsewhere due to the overall vibe and because customer service is seriously lacking. read more

Went to the cantina. Was completely ignored. Had to get up and get my own coffee. Had to track down staff to place my order. Brings me my food, coffee cup empty, does not fill it. Brings my check before I finish eating. Comes back and asks me if I am ready to take care of tab while I am still sipping my coffee. She then stands over me until I complete the check. Place was not very crowded. Seems like the two people who are to wait on us could care less. Hotel was nice but cantina was horrible. Texican Court would have a Home Run with me if they stepped up their game at Two Mules Cantina. read more

Arrived around 5:45 on a Friday night. There were plenty of tables to choose from, but it was definitely starting to get a little busy. There appeared to be only 2 servers and 1 or 2 bartenders for the whole place. Unfortunately, this meant that we were without drinks or anyone asking for an order for a good 20 mins. Finally, someone comes up and asks our order. We asked to see a drink menu and they didn't have one. He didn't even offer the regular menu. We had to look up the menu online - not a great start. My friend's parents got their earlier than us and said the spicy margarita didn't seem to have much tequila in it. We saw someone else's margarita and it looked like water. We never got a chance to try because of what happened next: The kitchen manager was in a bad mood and yelled out from the kitchen a few times and eventually erupted from behind the bar creating quite a scene. Few minutes later the bartender comes from the kitchen and just quits. It was just a bad night for them, and I understand that but they have a lot to work on. SO... we ended up leaving before we even got served because it felt uncomfortable. I'm sure Two Mules will get better once they work things out and get a system going, but I'd recommend waiting a few weeks before trying. read more

Read the bad reviews and decided to try it for myself. Service was decent, but the food and drinks really lacked here. We ordered the queso flameado which was ok and for the main course I got the fish tacos. The tacos were not good at all. Very salty and the fish was dry(over cooked). Happy hour prices are good. I was told the chicken flautas are good, but I doubt we will go back and try them. read more

Wow... i've never been to a Tex-Mex restaurant that didn't have enchiladas or fajitas!!! The menu was very limited and didn't really have traditional mexican food. The food was fare at best. read more

We visited two mules earlier this year and had a very unpleasant experience, as did several others that night. It seems the staff were have a tiff and not concerned about the customers. I sent an email to two mules and asked if that situation had improved because we were considering trying again. They never went to the trouble to respond so I guess the figure that they can live on the hotel and convention center traffic. read more

My husband and I came here for our anniversary and stayed at the hotel. We bought the date night special, which is a steal. They gave us 2 meal vouchers and 2 drink vouchers. When we checked in, since it had been raining, s'mores were not likely so they compensated by giving us an appetizer voucher and two extra drink vouchers--wow. My husband and I both enjoyed some happy hour drinks at the restaurant. I had some house wine and he had 2 Diablo margaritas. We ordered an appetizer (guacamole and queso) but it didn't come--probably a communication error. But, it really didn't need to. They give you complimentary chips and salsa, and the chips are flavored with Tajin--delicious. With the meal I had a spicy Bloody Mary (just a regular one) and he had a beer. He ordered the cochinillo with borracho beans. The beans were buttery and very tasty. A little salty for my taste, but not bad. The pan sauce has a lovely orange base. I had the pastor torta with calabacita. Again, delicious. The bread was super tasty and the grilled pineapple with tomato was fantastic. The portions are huge. We both took 2 to-go boxes back to our rooms. The bill was around $60 but with the date night vouchers we paid $10 out of pocket plus we tipped 20%. If we hadn't been celebrating we probably would have paid next to nothing. My only complaint was that service was a little slow and I think they're working that out. We went around 5:30 and I would estimate that there were 4 tables (couples and singles) other than us. So, excellent food guys, but I would work our who is responsible for taking orders, serving food, replenishing drinks, etc. read more

Two Mules Cantina Is anything but your typical hotel restaurant. The menu is fun and unique with delicious offerings you rarely see else where. We were in for a treat with the hearty smoked barbacoa mini tostadas- absolutely delicious. We tasted the fiery queso with brisket served flaming table side, and it was perfect. Not too spicy and not too tame with just the right amount of heat and brisket. Their continental breakfast was also unique for a quick pick up of buttery croissants, scones, biscuits or fresh fruit. Breakfast tacos are made to order and offer the opportunity for a quick hot breakfast to go. Add to the unique menu impeccable service and a staff willing to meet every need. I've been in the service industry for quite some time and this place was beyond disappointing. The bartender had the worst attitude. When I arrived, I was never asked what i would like to drink. The bartender stood behind the bar with her arms crossed talking with another server. I waited for about 5 minutes until I uncomfortably waived someone down for a drink. When I asked for extra salt, I was met with contempt. I am really disappointed in how the attitude of this bartender set the scene for this restaurant. Anything that we asked of her seemed like it was a chore. I understand having bad days, but your attitude with customers should not reflect your personal life. If she hates this job so much, then I would suggest moving onto something else. She is a bad face for your brand and will keep people from returning.
