Four of us recently had a great dining experience at Two Rivers Brewing Co. Our only complaint: it was so dark at our table that we had difficulty reading the small print on the menu. (We had to use the flashlight feature on the cellphone). The beers were delicious (both the 5-beer tasting flight and the Bankers Brown ale), and the wine selection was good. Our server could not have been more helpful and accommodating! She handled our requests and questions with humor and professionalism. The best part: delicious food! My mushroom and swiss burger was memorable. Excellent flavor, very fresh bun, great fries! Wow! My companions loved their meals (short ribs) as much as I did mine. Great experience last night! Stopped in on our way home from a day out, and we're super happy we chose two rivers. My dining partner and I had had the beer before, but really enjoyed the Left Eye IPA. Refreshing and hoppy. I opted for the two rivers negroni and loved it. Service was prompt and friendly. We were impressed with how quickly we gout our food. If you're looking for a relaxed dining experience, this wouldn't be that great, but we loved that we had just finished our appetizer of duck fat fries as our entree (we shared) came to the table. The food was delicious. The duck fat fries, as others have commented, are awesome. Get them. Either to start or upgrade to them with your sandwich. Just do it. So good, especially with the aoili served with them. We then had the bourbon BBQ shrimp with cheese grits. Loved the grits! Definitely recommended! read more

Super disappointed in general. Not sure if food or beer would have been good because I never got the chance. On a Saturday at 5pm turned away from service because they couldn't handle it, the host stated the kitchen is too small to handle the business, I could count at least 3 empty tables outside, another 8 on first floor empty at least 30 seats empty. Crazy unprofessional for a business on a weekend really, if this is any indication likely best we didn't get seated. Go else where plenty of other options that would want your business. read more

Unfortunately a terrible experience. Walked in to grab a drink with a few friends. We were directed upstairs to the second bar because it was busy. There was only one table sat and the bar was full. Naturally we sat at one of the open tables. Our waiter came up and gave us waters. He asked if we needed menus and went off to get them. After 10 minutes and our waiter passing us numerous times we asked another employee for a menu. She simply said "we have a reservation at this table. " she then told us to go downstairs where we were before when we were previously sent upstairs. While I can understand tables being reserved, I can not understand sitting at that table for 15 minutes, being served water and asked if we needed menus then being ignored until we had to ask again. Visited on 11/2 in the evening. Nice atmosphere - bustling, but not loud. The waitress was friendly. She did a wonderful job answering our questions and making suggestions. Had a great drink - ginger beer, lime and rum. The Shrimp and Grits was delicious. Nice mix of comfort food and a refreshing zesty lime sauce. The duck quesadilla was our other choice and also very good. The duck was perfectly cooked and the apples and walnuts made it scrumptious. read more

Great food, not great service over an hour wait for 3 burgers, 1 poutine, 1 shrimp & grits, and an order of lamb chops. While I love their food and the establishment in general they have a few things to figure out in the service department. The waitress was attentive as she could be, we got our drinks and appetizer timely. When it came time for the entree however we waited over an hour from when the appt. and drinks were served. It was the same night as the Pub Crawl and though I understand there may be an influx of business due to this, it wasn't overly crowded and the people that were there weren't all eating. My suggestion would be to staff more appropriately for special events if this is why things were held up. read more

Went at around 3pm on a Thursday and it was only my husband and I and one other couple at the end of the bar. I know it's not a prime time for a few drinks and food but it was completely dead and felt like we were there when the place was closed and we were trespassing. The IPA was just ok and the food was pretty good. I'd probably go back at a better time but will not be going back mid-afternoon. read more

This was our 2nd trip to Two Rivers, but the 1st time they had their own brews on tap. Our group are all IPA lovers, but we have differing preferences in our hops. Two Rivers blessed us with two different IPAs which met all of our needs. Their beers were fantastic! I had a salad, and the rest of our group all had varying burgers. The food was great, just like our first trip. What stands out most, however, was the service. Our server, Wendy, was Amazing. She knows her stuff, makes great recommendations, is attentive without hovering, and provided the best dining experience I have had in years! And not only was Wendy great, but the other staff who brought out or meals, and little things we needed were helpful and efficient as well. This restaurant runs like a well oiled machine. Highly recommended. We'll be back every chance we get. read more

We stopped here for lunch yesterday. I started with the Esoteric Porter and my wife had the Brown Ale, both beers were fresh and very flavorful. The wait staff is well versed on all of the beers on tap here, so, if your not sure what you'll like the'll be able to help you. For an appetizer I chose the Gumbo, absolutely out of this world!! So good, that I brought home another serving to have today. Huge pieces of sausage, chicken and shrimp, just the right amount of "heat", very flavorful! For lunch I chose the blackened chicken sandwich, our server warned me that there was sriracha aioli on it, just in case I didn't like spicy. The sandwich was incredible, the chicken done perfectly, the bacon lettuce, cheese and aioli blended perfectly, for a very tasty sandwich, the duck fat fries, with rosemary and fresh parmesan were wonderfully delicious. My wife opted for their award winning Peanut Butter Bacon Cheddar burger, she requested no roll or onions and done medium, which was a good choice, as this burger, aside from being surprisingly delicious, is huge. By leaving out the roll, she was able to polish off the whole thing. One wouldn't normally think that peanut butter flavor would go well with a burger but the chef did a wonderful job with this, and it's quite obvious why the burger won the awards that it did. I would highly recommend this brew pub to anyone stopping in Easton. The service, food and beer were all equally impressive. Oh, did I mention that this pub is in an old hotel? A lot of the original architecture has been incorporated into the pub. Check out the bar on the 1st and second floors. read more

My first review ever on yelp. Visited here on 12/22/2012. I believe this is the day the LCB finally gave them a liquor license. Confused on where to enter on this windy day. Note the entrance is on the side. The interior is nice but seems like a inefficient use of the large space. Grabbed a seat at the bar directly in front of the taps (my favorite seat). By design or mistake the seats by beer tap leave little if no room for plate and setting. Why limit counter space in this prime location especially as a brew pub? Unfortunately no house beers on tap but a good selection of Pennsylvania brewed craft beers. Nothing too exciting though. Beer prices are not mentioned on menu (be careful and ask for pricing as a pint of Troegs IPA, normally 4.50 elsewhere, was 6.00 here). Ordered the Half Pound Bacon Cheese Burger. Though made with 'locally' farmed ingredients (Breakaway Farms Grass fed beef and bacon) this burger was average at best. The patty, though perfectly cooked medium rare, would have benefited from additional seasoning. Sadly the bacon was not crisp. In fact it was mushy giving the entire sandwich a meatloaf type consistency. Lettuce and marinated tomato on the bottom roll? Bad sandwich construction in my opinion. These ingredients over powered the flavor of the already under seasoned beef. Overall a failure of flavor given the high end ingredients. The fries, advertised at Belgian Frites (I did not get the Duck fat Frites), were a fail. Anyone who's enjoyed authentic twice fried Frites would question these as 'Belgian style Frites'. Thick cut with skin on; mushy, and with some unneeded salt/Parmesan mix. I didn't finish them. The service was pleasant though the wait a bit long given the half empty restaurant. Overall an average experience at best. Perhaps some first day jitters by the staff and cooks? I may visit Two Rivers again down the road once they have been open a bit longer and have everything down, but the value wasn't quite there for me. Burger and fries, with beer, tax and tip included came to 21.00. read more

The food is excellent. The kitchen's ability to get the food made and out to customers is abysmal. We have gone on two separate occasions, and I have no complaints about the food or the service staff; however with a largely empty restaurant (6-7 tables), it took over an hour for our food to come out (nothing particularly complicated...steak and eggs, chili and egg bake, a Medium temp hamburger, and an omelet). The story was essentially the same the first time we went (which was nearly a year ago), but as I cannot remember details from that long ago (aside from how long it took to get the food out and how little I got to eat because I had a young baby with me and my best laid plans for timing his meals and crankiness were royally thrown off), I will refrain from commenting. Bottom line: if you are absolutely not in a hurry (ie, can spare at least 2 hours for brunch/lunch), the food is delicious. read more

The rating is reflective of the service, not the food. Got there at 5pm on a Saturday, there were 3 tables with people, two of which had just sat down and we were told that it was a 2-1/2 hour wait as people will be coming in "later and we have parties of 12 coming in later upstairs". I really liked this restaurant but accommodating a group of 2 parents and 3 kids at 5pm when the place is empty isn't in their interest. If they were sort of nice about it, like offered to sit us near the bar and told us to be out of there by 6pm, that would have been great, we get that. Great restaurants find a way, this place has good food and I had recommended it but just found them extremely uneducated in the art of taking care of customers. read more

Impromptu stop in, and they were able to seat us without a reservation. David, our server, was excellent. Great beer knowledge and recommendations, and very quick service. I was hedging on that peanut butter bacon cheeseburger, but David said it won an award for the area so I went for it. It was incredible. French fries were also amazing, though they tell us the duck fries are even better (next time!). Even had coloring books and crayons for the kids. Highly recommend. I was in town visiting my friend for the weekend. Coming from Baltimore I am used to all sorts of restaurants and lots of options. When she sent me the restaurant week menu for this restaurant and once I looked them up on Yelp, I was pretty excited to try this place out. I mean Peanut Butter Burger? How could I turn this place down. We went ahead and made reservations for after our tour at Weyerbacher Brewery. Since the tour and tastings all ended sooner than expected we headed over a little earlier than our reservation. The place was pretty empty at that time, they definitely could have seated us but we decided just to grab a drink at the bar first. With travel ling and a long day I needed a little pick me up so asked for a Red Bull Vodka. When I asked the lady she looked at me like I had 10 heads. OK, I get it, its not the classiest of drinks, but most bars carry that and I am not familiar with the place, so sue me. I settled for a Two Rivers Old Fashioned. Nothing Old Fashioned about it. Save your money and just get a craft beer. Selection of beer was great and was nice to enjoy the brews from Weyerbacher I had sampled earlier. Once we were seated our waiter had a lot of enthusiasm and took our orders, remembering everything without having to write it down. Here's what I ordered: Gumbo - Meh. Wouldn't order this again. I saw steam coming off of it but it tasted luke warm to me. On a cold night this really sounded good to me and didn't satisfy that craving. Peanut Butter Burger - AWESOME. This was the highlight of the meal, as expected. Perfectly cooked. Nothing about it I would change. Got it with their duck fat fries that despite how they are so 2000 and late, I can't seem to say no when offered. I don't care if they aren't the in thing anymore... GET THE DUCK FAT FRIES. They nailed it. I had more than half of my meal left to save for dinner the next night and tasted just as good heated back up. Carrot Cake Bread Pudding - YUCK. I guess with restaurant week they need to make things in mass production?? Besides the fact I was so full I was really looking forward to trying this. I love carrot cake! It had little flavor and was a weird consistency. Just seemed like hard cake with a warm liquid poured over top. If it's a bread pudding, serve it like a bread pudding. No need to change a good thing. I think the overall look and feel of the place is great. I had a blast with my friends catching up. One thing that seemed really odd and is the reason for the 3 stars. Once we started having our entree portions, our waiter pretty much ignored us for an hour. It's a small space. We noticed. No going around it, something was weird about it. He would go to EVERY table but ours. We all were in great moods and making small talk so not sure what happened there. And as much as I appreciate not being rushed, this was pretty ridiculous to just be sitting there for a good 45 minutes to an hour not even getting a "how are things" or "do you need a box" which we clearly did. Then when my friend was finally able to grab him to get his attention he didn't even let us get a word in before saying "he would get it".... get what?... we didn't even ask for anything. Maybe he was just really busy? But as we had plenty of time to notice he had plenty of time to help and check in at every other table. Just left us feeling a little off about the whole night. He was overly apologetic which I couldn't tell if it was genuine or just wanted to make sure he got his tip. Again, just a weird experience with that. If in Easton again would I go back? Probably just for drinks.. I tried the one entree that seems to be the star item and am satisfied with that. read more

Really enjoyed this establishment! Planning to be in the area that day so did a bit of research. Called ahead and they gave us (group of 12) a great table and held it for us till we arrived. So many fun things to choose from, burgers, salads, sandwiches, soups, there is something for all. Flights of various beers, whiskeys, all with great service, information on the spirits, and enthusiasm. Our party loved it. We had a great afternoon there and would surely return when in the area. So I guess I am still a glutton for punishment. Was told him they would get us a table, then we got there after driving from Bethlehem to be told a half hour wait, then we were taken upstairs to a table in a room where the noise was deafening so much so that the waitress was screaming at the top of her lungs to tell her customers what the specials were. Then the funky smell was the clincher, we couldn't figure out whether it was the odor from the cooking in the curtains or the actual customers. Oh well back to pearly bakers where they also have grass fed burgers and no way and no noise and no smell. read more

In Easton visiting our daughter and family for the weekend. We enjoy going to all the new restaurants there as most are very good. We went to Two Rivers for lunch and were not disappointed! The downstairs is tavern like, servicer was prompt and helpful with beer selections, food was great. My short rib sandwich, peppers, cheese and fried egg w/fries was $15, very good and huge. Food was alright at best and really slow coming out of the kitchen. We waited for over an hour for two cups of chilly and one short rib sandwich to share. I love this place. Nice comfortable bar and restaurant. The beer is excellent. The food is wonderful and the service is first rate. My only problem is that the pork pot stickers are so good that I just can't order a different appetizer. And last night I had the burger that won the Easton Express contest for best burger in the area, Peanut Butter bacon. I agree with the Easton Express. Best Burger I've ever had.
