This was one of the most unforgettable and bad experiences I've had. I came in after moving away from Sac to pick up my wine allocations. Only to find out my past two allocations had been picked up by my ex girlfriend without them ever verifying her as the paying member/card holder. I explained this to the staff and tried to understand the process to verify who paid for it before giving them the wine, she said there isn't one. I requested to contact a manager to resolve the issue "Do you really want to do that on their personal time?". All I needed was to try and resolve the issue or find who could, Cynthia the staff was not only beyond rude, and unhelpful - but she had the wherewithal to then say "well let me verify you actually bought this wine" as if I was lying and she didn't already have my name for the allocation and confirmed pre-payment. Lastly, I asked to cancel my wine club and she could not do that only the wine club manager could. I asked multiple times if we could contact them or do it in store, and she refused. Unprofessional, lack of quality customer service for wine club members, and an attitude you would not want at front of house representing your business. read more

The wine is from Sonoma county, they have different area where they grow their grapes and the staff is so informative about them! The wine flights for 5 different wines is $20/person. Your group does not all need to get flights, some can opt to just get a glass instead! If you pre pay for your testing with an online reservation, you get to use that credit toward whatever you ended up getting. I had put $100 down in the reservation and received about $15 back since we ended up with one less person that I had pre paid for. My friends and I had a great tasting!! I got a honey cinnamon latte. It was different, strong favors, similar to a chai but lacking some of its spices. I'd come back to get that chai next time; my friend really liked his. After checking out Nico Wine (please reference my review if interested), my wife and I decided to walk to Bailarin Cellars Winery & Tasting Room. Upon entering, we were warmly greeted by two employees behind the counter. Since we were one of two couples in the establishment, we had a plethora of comfy seating to choose from. After getting settled in, an employee provided us with tasting menus. Since we both have similar tastes in wine, my wife and I chose the "white flight" option. The employee assisting us did a good job of explaining each wine offering, and arriving with perfect timing to administer the next tasting as we concluded the previous offering. We were so satisfied with the customer service and the taste of the wine that we also ordered a charcuterie board (which was pretty elaborate). We throughly enjoyed our experience at Bailarin and will definitely return in the near future! read more

Really great wine in a convenient location next to the capital mall area and midtown, plus the indoor venue is very warm and inviting, you just need to peek inside to see. My first visit was awesome, I just wanted a glass of wine but departed 3 glasses later with 3 bottles of wine and a membership; I'm normally a hard sell but this was just great. My second visit wasn't as friendly, I assume dogs aren't allowed by the reaction from one of the hosts; she asked a passive question: "Your dog is adorable, is he a service dog?". This turned our exchange cold as I just stopped by to pick up three bottles of wine, I ordered online an hour earlier and had no intention of staying. (She asked me this question after I said hi, I'm here to pick up wine I ordered.) Anyhow, I received the bottles, luckily for me the strap on one of the bags broke before I walked out, I asked the hostess to change the bag (please note it literately broke when she handed it to me, she saw it break but didn't say anything.) The wine again was really tasty, hopefully I'll become a performer, and they'll continue refining and leveling up their training for new hosts. Give them a try, if you experience not so friend service just say something or ask to work with another host. I came here last week with my boyfriend for a Yelp Elite Event. Super happy we got the chance to attend and tasted 5 different wines. These 5 were apart of their wine flight. Definitely a great spot to come to with friends, a significant other, or a group of peeps. Their location is in the DOCO area, which is nice because the walking distance isn't bad at all! We're not huge wine fans, however we wanted to try Bailarin Cellars' wine flight to figure out what we may like. The owner and her husband were super sweet, helpful, and gave some great knowledge to their wine! They also have charcuterie boards to snack on. Highly recommend since it came with so many necessary items that paired well with the wines. I also found it very cool that they do have a lower level to hang out at, hence "cellars" in their name. As far as a downtown wine bar goes, this place is an excellent and affordable choice. Flavor: 5 Value: 5 Service: 5 Experience: 5 This place has a great approach: get a caffeine buzz from excellent coffee while / instead of getting an alcohol buzz from excellent wine. The sommeliers really know their business and will give you either the lay-person description of the wine-snob description, depending on how you classify yourself. Their selection is pretty broad, and if they don't have what you want, they will work to get you the next best thing. Their coffee is also excellent. A hidden gem tucked away on K street in Sacramento! My boyfriend and I had an awesome time here last night. The staff is extremely friendly and you can tell that everyone here really loves what they do. They're well-versed in terminology and describe their wines SO beautifully ("hints of blackberry pie" & "a creamy aftertaste" were some of my favorite descriptions). As for the wine, we really enjoyed most of the ones in the flight. My favorite was the Chardonnay, and my boyfriend liked the Zin. Neither of us were a fan of the Pinot Noirs, but we typically don't like Pinots regardless. I do have to say we were a bit disappointed in the selection of wines in the flight (we wanted to try some more whites and I would have liked to try a Rosè), but I'm not disappointed enough to remove a star based on that alone. My bf (who lived in Napa in his early 20s and has visited his fair share of wineries) was really impressed by the quality-- fellow wine snobs, unite! The decor is cute, rustic, and Instagram-able (is that a word??). A lot of guests had their phones out (including myself!) taking photos of each other and the overall aesthetic. My potato-quality camera couldn't capture how cute this place is. There's a basement downstairs as well, which I thought was pretty unique and unexpected. In warmer weather, I would love to sit on the patio and enjoy the fresh air. The food on the charcuterie plates we had were pretty good, although we would have liked some strawberries or grapes. However, they did have these cute little dried fruit cubes (dates, maybe?) that made up for the lack of fresh fruit. Vegans and vegetarians: there's stuff here for you too! Granola, fresh juices, etc. were displayed in the pastry case, and I noticed some gluten-free options on the counter. I'm vegetarian and was REALLY happy that the charcuterie board we had wasn't strictly meat-based (note: they do have other charcuterie options to choose from!). We also ordered coffee and enjoyed them! Why pay $4-7 at Starbucks down the street when you can get a delicious cup here with a beautiful atmosphere?? The barista was super friendly and gave us different milk types to choose from (lactose intolerant friends- I'm looking at you!). We both got mochas (his with 2% and mine with almond milk) and the barista made designs in the foam, which is always a boujee touch that I appreciate :0) Beware, parking options are absolute trash in this area. When there's an event at the arena, let the parking gods be with you. We got lucky and found street parking just as someone was leaving a block away, but this was after circling the area for 15 minutes. The only garages we found were $20-30 (there was a kings game = event parking price surge). But hey, there's always the option of taking public transportation or Uber/Lyft (bonus points for responsible driving!). I can't wait until my friends from SoCal come to visit so we can take them here. My bf suggested we could even come back for a nice little date night or take our parents here for a visit. They were offering a wine/pie pairing at the time, fair price: 10.00 (I believe) There were 4 little stations where you'd get a little bit of some of their famous wines along with some really tasting pie from The Real Pie Company. Each of the wines we tasted were delicious but sadly cannot be purchased unless you're a member. (womp womp!) I'd give their wine 5 stars really because each one was tastier than the next! My other complaint is the pour! 1 oz pours, SO little! I can get 10.00 wine tastings at some great wineries in Plymouth area that are a little heavier. Regardless though, it was super good and paired with the pies were perfect. (Will definitely have to go to Real Pie Company and purchase some pies!) I had the honor and pleasure of tasting a multitude of their pinots during a Yelp event, and I cannot begin to tell you how great of an experience I had here. First of all, the location is perfect - just up the street from Golden One, and directly across from a raucous whiskey bar. If you're looking for upscale and serenity, Bailarin has it. The brick is a touch of old Sacramento, but the coffee and wine is all 21st century. Our gracious hosts took us on a wine adventure, accompanied by excellent food. Wine + Coffee. A match made in Heaven. I was lucky enough to attend a Yelp Elite event here last week and I can't wait to come back. The location itself is beautiful. Exposed brick, industrial lighting and lots of lovely wood accents. Very cozy, a far contrast from the plastic atmosphere of Fizz Champagne Bar nearby. They also have a small room downstairs that would work for a team meeting or private tasting party. This a spot where you can get some work done, meet up with friends or just pop in for a cup of coffee. My favorite wine from our tasting was the Black Knight Pinot. Also, I love that they serve Insight Coffee, with their Powerhouse location closing, it's nice to have this location downtown. Explored the newly developed establishments down K street. I had seen Bailarin Cellars as it was featured on Sacramento page. I was intrigued as it served both wine and coffee. Bailarin Cellars is at a walking distance from the new arena. It is a great meet up spot before any event. The interior is absolutely stunning! From the exposed brick on the walls to the The menu for food and coffee are on the wall at the entrance the wine tasting room is on the other end of the room. Coffee is brought to you by Insight Coffee Roasters (yum). Although we did not try the wine we are dying to comeback and do a flight tasting. When you check in on yelp you get 50% your wine tasting flight. We ordered a Matcha latte. Not only was it beautiful but it tasted heavenly! Hands down one of the best charcuterie boards I've ever had. Reese did a fabulous job of hosting our group of five and even provided recommendations in the area. The wine cellar is adorable and the wine tasting is definitely worth it. For $15 we got to taste around five different wines and had the chance to sit in the couch section near the bar with ample space. I recommend making a reservation as things open up and be prepared to provide a $15 deposit for a tasting. read more
