It was a very unique dining experience! I have lived in Chattanooga for 15 years and in my option this is one of finest dining in the city. The presentation and flavor of the food is delectable and quite creative. I applaud the chef. You are certainly able to tell they know what do to in the kitchen and are not afraid to take risks. Some of the most unimaginable combinations ended up being absolutely mouthwatering. Not only is the food excellent but the overall design of the restaurant provides such a good vibe for a pleasurable dining experience. However, the only complaint I will make is the service could be improved upon. Since they are a new restaurant I'm sure that will work itself out. Wandered into Two Ten Jack for a very late lunch today and enjoyed a great noodle bowl. The other three folks I ate with got various bento boxes and they all were impressed too. Got the spicy chicken meatball ramen, shishito peppers, edamame since it was happy hour, and pork belly yakitori. Everything was good - the ramen and pork belly particularly so. Service was a mixed bag - waiter was very nice and explained all of the items in Japanese on the menu that we had questions about. We ordered cold house sake that ended up getting lost between waiter and bartender. They didn't have enough shishito peppers for an entire plate, so they prepared us what they had and comped it - so really there were a few minor issues but they were more than made up for with the comp. I am obsessed with this place. If it were in a bigger city it probably wouldn't be as amazing, but in Chattanooga it's one of a kind. You can order lots of small plates, which is great for me because i often find it difficult to choose just one dish. The ramen bowls have great flavor, i love the garlic noodles, and they have a nice selection of sushi (although probably not the best place in Chatt if sushi is your main goal). Two Ten Jack is a modern Japanese pub style restaurant in Chattanooga that I had dinner. Dinner is served in a southern Japanese style way, meaning it begins with a light appetizer (raw seafood, soups, cabbage salad, etc) and builds to skewered meats, like chicken hearts, and culminates with A large ramen with very good sauce, meat and veggies. You can choose which courses to have ( or order just the ramen bowl, appetizers, salads, etc). It's really up to you (each dish is a la carte in pricing). Positives: 1) Service was good. waitress was extremely helpful with explaining the format and menu. 2) Plum wine was really good and sweet! 3) J.F.C (Japanese fried chicken) was amazing, especially with the sauce they give you ;) 4) Food was fresh, hot and diverse in offerings of authentic Japanese dishes. Clams, crabmeat, cabbage salad, sushi rolls, chicken hearts, Japanese bacon, etc. 5) Stuffed and satisfied after a 4 course meal. Expectations: 1) To enjoy and take in the experience, prepare to spend at least an hour ( depending on how many course you want). So this is not a place to " grab a quick bite". 2) Price: Not unreasonably priced for the quality and experience , however just know those items can add up and if you get one item from each course, you're looking at around $25-30 per person. So save this for a special occasion or a nice night out. 3) New things: The menu will use Japanese names with English descriptions. Try new things! This is authentic food you won't find in many places in the Southeast US. So try some clams, raw fish items, or chicken heart ( like I did), it was good and broadens your pallet for sure. Con: Atmosphere was a nice, cool, and classy place. However for some reason they had hip-hop/ 90s rap music which didn't fit in with the atmosphere at all, loud cause we were sitting at a booth near a speaker, and had profanity (total uncensored rap). The Chattanooga outpost of Two Ten Jack is a welcomed addition to the city's culinary scene. The cocktails on tap that I have had so far (#1, 2, and 3) have all been as excellent as the service I experienced. The garlic noodles with crab butter are on point, chewy and flavorful without being overly pungent. I'll be back tonight to update after I try the ramen (I was too full last night to go on), though if the kitchen and bar continue their level of quality from yesterday I have no doubt it will be wonderful. read more

Glad we found this spot while passing through Chatanooga! The rustic interior complemented the warehouse setting well, which created a nice atmosphere. We used the yelp offer for the spicy miso edamame which we really enjoyed. Super cool atmosphere. Pretty expensive, but you get what you pay for. Their crispy Brussels are so delicious, and are a great starter. Their ramen is so delicious too. The broth is rich, and the noodles are always cooked to perfection! The soft egg on top is like the cherry on top of the dish. The tori paitan ramen is very good with chicken broth. Ive also had the yasai shoyu this was a vegetable broth with veggies inside also. I like their ramen because its not a lot of sodium in the broth. So its pretty good. The restaurant and atmosphere is very nice, They play 90s and 2000s rap music. It doesnt give off a club scene or anything at all. Its very subtle in the background. A lot of places dont offer chicken broth ramen. Their only option is pork as if everyone eats pork. Even after reading some iffy reviews, I went ahead and ordered the spicy chicken meatball ramen. While it wasn't as spicy as I had hoped, it was still excellent. Filled with tiny mushrooms, green kale, and half of a soft boiled egg, it tasted fresh and delicious. The noodles weren't too soggy and the broth was salted perfectly. I travel to Japan a couple of times a year, so maybe my comparisons are unfair -- and there are so many kinds of ramen and so many people doing cool things with ramen. Having said that, we got the gyoya (party of three) and I ordered the tonkatsu ramen. The gyoza are fried (not steamed) and rather hard. The taste was okay but the texture kinda got in the way for me. The ramen arrived -- looked good. The noodles and egg were good; the pork belly was great; the broth tasted like bacon grease.
