After moving for this place I am so bless to say I have not had to deal with unprofessional management and I have not had to run off homeless from around my apartment. My company Dirt Cheap Movers has been serving as a vendor for moving services to Tyler Springs Apartments residences in Riverside, CA for the past 18 years and I feel compelled to write a nice review of my experience. Their management did not ask me to write this review. While we have moved over 300 residents on or off of this property, I have never once, had a resident tell me they were not happy living there. I know there is a long waiting list, and I know why. The grounds and management's attention to detail is excellent. The gated community allows the residents to walk freely among the flat curvy sidewalks among the manicured park like foliage. They know residents by name and treat them like family members. Tyler Springs is one of the few senior living locations that impresses me, and they will impress you also. read more

I have been to this community many times on business and each and every time I stop in I find many residents visiting and enjoying each other's company at the Community Center. I know for a fact that the management works very hard at making sure there are frequent events for them, especially in light of the fact that many don't drive any more. I was on the waiting list for awhile to get in. I've been here about a year now and an LOVING IT !!! The office staff are so nice and accommodating and if there is anything that needs attention it's fixed or taken care of in a jiffy !! All my neighbors are very nice and we get along famously. Came to this wonderful and friendly community from the East Coast wondering what is Senior Living? Boy did I get a rude awakening this is the most Beautiful group of well kept apartments buildings and grounds. The people who live here very friendly, the workers are respectful, helpful and caring. I came here to help care for my father who needed help getting back to health and we were welcomed like family. My father can now use the pool and other amenities offered here, like the gas grills for BBQs and exercise room. It is truly a comfortable, respectful and quiet environment that I will miss once I head back home. Come by and talk with the folks in the rental office, who are as sweet as the candy dish they keep full. Tyler Springs Apartments - Best kept grounds - Apartments Near Me - Riverside, California

I live and work in the area. I'm an insurance agent so most of my activities depend on working with seniors to fill their insurance needs. I've visited all of the senior apartments in Riverside, and very qualified to leave my opinion. For the most part, I would say that the leasing consultants at this location are very unprofessional. Particularly Ben C and the other leasing consultant. I visited the location earlier in the week to setup a seminar for this location, the leasing consultant advised me to come back and speak with Ben C. I revisited the location a few days later and waited in the lobby for Ben C. What really ticked me off was when I heard them talking about me in the office with a potential/new resident that was signing leasing papers. I felt very belittled. Ben C. saw me in the lobby and asked me if I had an appointment. His tone was very demeaning, and very aggressive. He asked me for my card and told me he would give me a call. Not sure why I wasn't given an opportunity to set an appointment days ago nor directions before waisting my time by the other leasing consultant. Not sure why I need to set an appointment for a conversation thats only takes a few minutes. 2 stars for the impressive upgraded decor and big tv screen in the lobby. They have added a computer room since my last visit a year ago. Hopefully, they can upgrade the staff. read more

do not come to the office I kind of Springs keep away from the management and the people who take your information they are so disrespectful!!! Few months ago I called because I needed to move my roommate had family moving into the home I was living in I did call them but then I found out I could stay a little longer so I didn't follow up and when I was ready to make my move they were kind of angry because I never came in back a few months ago I told him the situation but I was ready now I went in to see Ben he seemed to be okay at the time but kind of in the rush to get me to sign up give him the money I explain to him that I didn't have any checks I had to go to the bank and get a few checks to write him for the deposit and the credit check I also needed to get a form signed from my employer these things were going to take a day or two at least when everything was done I called to say I was coming in I literally got chewed out by the female in the office I believe her name is Debbie I'm not sure but she was so disrespectful to me telling me that I was supposed to be there at 7:30 in the morning and now there was no guarantee that it was going to be put back on the market I explained to her that I had already made arrangements with Ben she said we've been dealing with you for months and you never called us back when you called you so you need to bring in the money and drop it off in the drop Dropbox I am 70 years old I wasn't going to drive from Pomona all the way down to Riverside in traffic I told her it would have to wait till tomorrow she said there's no guarantee we're going to have to put it back on the market I felt you was talking to a five-year-old which was not necessary I don't like to be treated that way I never got a call back from been either the next day I left a message and I said I was very disappointed on the way the managers run their business they're trying to rent out these apartments without showing you what they look like in the inside also there's additional charges for everything parking and the remotes which is ridiculous so we can do not go there unless they change managers you need to get rid of the ones they have they are so disrespectful they do not care about the seniors whatsoever you just care about getting somebody move in to fill in the spot I wonder if they're getting paid by commission LOL but we are human too we do not need to be treated my children so is that 10 I gave it a one I would have given it a zero read more

I give this place 2 stars, one because I do not live there. But my parents do and two I am going by what they tell me. Apparently, its not very clean. The grounds are often riddled with trash and condoms. There have been several incidents at the complex. A shooting, a few apartment and car break ins. Other tenants having family members over in the pool with kids and dirty diapers. Tenants guest being rude to tenants. All with security patroling. The nearby homeless people that sleep near the 91 fwy underpass have pulled the gates off the tracks to have access to the trash, they have even been blamed for breaking into peoples cars and homes. On top of everything else the property owners go up on the rent every year, while leasing to drug addicts, maintaining filthy premises, and limiting the senior activities. Not sure where the money is going considering the place seems to be falling apart. This is a pretty affordable and reasonable place to live for what they are offering as far as amenities, location, and safety.... I guess what they consider to be reasonable. My parents would like to move, but their waiting to move out of the state. Here they can save money. read more

I was looking for a 55+ living situation when I came across Tyler Springs in Riverside. The complex does appear to be well maintained, however, after speaking with some of the residents, I am dismayed by my findings. Some very elderly people who wish to remain anonymous, told me that they feared the mgmt, they feared retaliation if their names became knowledgeable to the mgmt staff. they spoke about being spoken down to, bullied by and a abject denial to see to their basic living needs, like a furnace that has been out for more than 6 months, like ceiling fixtures that havent been repaired in over a year, dangerous walkways for the sight impaired. One resident told me that another tenant had installed beautiful little zen gardens outside of individual apartments which she maintained. It added a touch of creativity as well as a spiritual need, but mgmt had first given the go ahead and then changed their minds and ripped out the gardens. Several burglaries have taken place on the grounds and those who were broken into, were told by mgmt to quash the info, instead of alerting their neighbors to be more protective and aware. I am writing this so the owners of Tyler Springs will take heed, because these and many other complaints by the residents smack of elder abuse. I am going to the District Attorney of Riverside County review Tyler Springs, as I am fearful of what might transpire after I post this. read more

I had spoken to Debbie Cullen the assistant manager on the phone about apartments. She was so nice polite funny but professional.she gave me information and sent me a lease. She told me there was a waiting list. I decided to go over and see the 2 bedroom that was available for viewing, even tho I was more interested in a 1 bedroom. WOW that two bedroom is amazing also for space storage etc. Debbie explan how the one bedroom was laid out in comparison to 2 bedroom this lady is also amazing. The outside area is great also. My mother has been a resident there for about 3 years. Every year that she has been there, she gets a notice closer to her renewal date about a rent increase. They have not upgraded anything in their units. Electric stoves that look like something my parents had when I was a kid (I'm 40) Particle board cabinets and linoleum floor. If you want covered parking, it will cost you another $40.00 with your already high rent. Most apartment complexes include one covered stall and uncovered parking is a free for all. It's supposed to be a "gated community" however the security gate is always broken. There has been several occasions when it's open day and night. Not safe considering all the homeless that are just right around the corner on Tyler. They do have patrol in the evenings, however not sure what days they are patrolling. She did recently get a new toilet and faucet that meets water restrictions. Mind you, the toilet seat before was wood, painted white! Stop asking for more money and not improve their living quarters. It's bad enough that they are on fixed income already. read more

I an a current resident of Tyler Springs. I read a review stating our Office Staff is mean and rude. I have been here five years and NO ONE that works here has ever been anything but nice. They know you by name, if they have time wil chat with you and the address concerns right away. Yes we have homeless people close, however our Office Staff has even had Riverside Police out to explane to us that they are aware of this and are currently working on the problem. Many places have homeless people close to them. I do not feel scared or that I am in danger. The grounds here are unmatched by any other community close to us. I have never seen trash or anything else just laying around. The people here for the most are very nice and friendly. I have never had a problem with another person. We all say hello each other. Again, we have the BEST office staff. This is a wonderful place to live. read more

My father lived in Tyler Springs for several years, until we had to relocate him closer to family for health reasons. The facility, amenities and location are excellent and extremely conducive to hassle free senior living. Cheri Robinson in the property management office, and the entire staff was wonderful and treated us like family! If you truly care about your loved ones, you can feel comfortable that Tyler Springs is a safe and friendly community where they will be right at home. read more

My mom has become a resident of Tyler Springs last month and she ABSOLUTELY LOVES it there! Leasing specialists, Ben and Debbie have been beyond helpful and took us through each step of my mom's application. In the mornings my mom socializes with other residents over a communal coffee function and then goes for a swim in the pool, which helps her gently build up her strength. She greatly enjoys how green the community is and finds the sounds of running waterfalls very peaceful. Maintenance guys are very responsive and efficient. The resident community seems very nice as well - my mom found her neighbors very friendly and eager to help. Moreover, the apartment units are really spacious and have lots of storage space. We just wish that they all came with a fridge. Bathtubs are equipped with safety grab bars, which gives you another level of confidence that the community has elderly in mind. To sum it up, my mom and we have had only positive experience with Tyler Springs so far and god allows - my mom will spend many happy years in the community. read more
