I am changing my 1 star review to a 4 star because I believe they have really improved. Original 1 star review: I went to this location to rent a truck for moving. I have never rented a truck, and do not know much about renting vehicles. The person behind the counter was very rude. As I was trying to read the paperwork, he got very impatient and told me "all you need to do is click ok". When it came to the insurance, I was trying to decide what option would be best. He didn't give me time to read each one, when he started to ask other people they can help me because "it's not that hard to choose an option". The whole time I was being helped, I felt like incapable of making any decisions. He was also rude with other workers there. There was even some curse words exchanged. Very unprofessional. When I returned the truck the next day, I went to someone else who can help me. She was very rude as well. While I was asking her about the paper, the rudely replied "that's why you read the highlighted parts". They also charged me for 30 miles, even though I used 10.5. When I asked them about it, they would not give me a straight answer, and continued to treat me rudely. I was very disappointed, and will not be visiting this location again. Nor am I recommending this location to anyone. I will gladly go to a different location, or company, even if that means spending more money.

I specifically researched and booked a cargo van, as my move included a height-restricted parking garage (can't fit with a box truck). After receiving a confirmation and arriving on-time, we were advised (rudely) that the cargo vans cannot be rented for one-way rentals. This contradicts what the reservation states. We were told we could "change the reservation to a box truck or leave without anything." Very incompetent service and seems to be their standard based on these other reviews. Not sure if this is representative of the Budget Truck brand in general, or just the Beaverton branch. Either way, I'll be avoiding this company altogether and would advise all others to do the same. I'm also laughing at the review responses requesting clients to call a number to discuss further.... What a joke! Upon arriving, I was a little worried but that quickly faded. During check-in, there were the standard questions but nothing like what I had been through with a competitor of theirs. When I went out to do the damage assessment on the nearly brand new truck, the owner found a decent amount of damage compared to most normal people (I use to be a damage assessor). He also went over the inside components like the lights, radio, etc. Awesome experience. The truck was a 16-foot 2019 GMC with 21k miles and climbed hills like a dream. My wife drove my F250 while I followed in the box truck and except for needing to slow down in corners (expected), I was able to keep up without issues. On my first trip, I used a COMPETITORS 26 foot truck and they gave me an 18 year old worn out diesel that couldn't climb hills if it's life depended on it (35mph, really?). They had also interrogated me on my insurance when I opted not to use theirs, making me fill out additional paperwork with my insurance information and such. While I'm not in Oregon anymore, I wish this location luck. Their customer service and truck quality is so much better than their competitors.

According to him, cargo vans are booked out for three months. Seems to me that perhaps you shouldn't be taking reservations on vehicles you don't have; this is pretty basic. I am shocked that Enterprise would proffer this excuse; not exactly a brilliant business model, and definitely represented by someone vastly under qualified for the role he is performing. I've been working with Enterprise for 25 years, and rented as recently as yesterday. My relationship with Enterprise is officially over. Keep up the great work!

In a few days I discovered the 4 prong vehicle side light/brakes plug would push out of its' holding bracket when I tried plugging in the trailer side 4 prong connector. July 17, 2026 I returned for a warranty repair just to have the 4 prong vehicle side bracket tightened up around the 4 prong connector. I was first presented with a form I was to sign in three places, initial in several more, with none of the form information having anything to do with the warranty repair. Surprised, I asked why I was being told to sign and initial, in SO many places, an unrelated form, to have a small fix completed. I was told it was to "authorize" the repair, they had no other form to use, only the form's content had nothing to do with warranty authorization to work on the vehicle. I was next BLUNTLY told that if I did NOT sign the form U-Haul would NOT honor the U-Haul warranty for the trailer hitch package I had just purchased on July 10, 2026. The manager (Regional manager?), Alec W., was sitting five feet away, heard everything, and failed to take any action after I was just told U-Haul would not honor its' warranty unless I submitted to their demand to sign additional paperwork that I should not have been asked to sign. I had already authorized the installation on July 10th.
