I returned the truck also still under the quarter tank mark, but then got charged 30 extra dollars because I turned the truck in under a quarter of a tank of gas. I called and explained to the guy that when it was given to me, it was under the quarter tank mark. He said it didn't matter and that I signed the contract stating that I would fill it over a quarter of a tank of gas. Mind you, there is an entire page of tiny written print that I didn't go over with a fine tooth comb, never thinking I would have to put in more gas than what they gave me. They were unwilling to compromise when I called and refused to reverse the $30 fuel fee. I will never use this U-Haul company again! Save your money and go somewhere else!! Absolutely ridiculous to pay over $100 for a "$19.95" truck when moving within a 5 mile radius!

Sloppy First I…read morepurchased a hitch on the U-Haul web site and scheduled an appointment for last Friday. The next day U-Haul reschedules the appointment without asking me if it was doable. I get to the 11am appointment and ask how long will it take and should be an hour. But the service guy needs to take his lunch so maybe two. Wait, I have an appointment? Doesn't matter eh? Two hours and 22 minutes later they text me started it's ready for pick up. I pick up the jeep and drive back to work. Later, driving to errands I noticed a more hotrod sound coming out of my jeep. That's cool but something is wrong with the exhaust system. It should not sound so cool. Early the next day I tried to call the U-Haul location directly but was pushed to national. Told them the problem and they tried to contact the GM at the location but did not get ahold of anyone. National told me to take jeep back to the location and have them check it. Jumped into the jeep, started it then piped the hood, maybe I can localize the problem before taking it in. Sure enough, there was a part of the intake system that needs to be removed to get to the battery, it was sitting on top of the engine. Sloppy! I put it back and my jeep doesn't sound as cool. Problem solved.

When I arrived on moving day they said that they only had a 15' for me. The uhaul rep at this location was clueless about how to solve my problem. He put me on the phone with a manager named Michelle at the Uhaul "traffic" office who made the whole situation infinitely worse. After I asked for the uhaul guarantee $50 refund (for not having the right size truck, Michelle cancelled my order without asking me and eventually hung up on me. My truck was then given to somebody else on my moving day. I vow never to support this location and likely never support uhaul again. Most stressful moving day ever! I contacted uhaul corporate about my horrible experience and never received a response.

I absolutely loved Super Friends Moving!…read more I used them on my recent move July 30th from North Seattle to the South Waterfront of Portland. I booked them about 5 or 6 weeks before the move. I emailed them to add a sofa dump to my list of needs about 2 weeks before the move, and received a very quick response. I will admit that i was nervous not receiving a conformation email or call closer to the date of my move, but nevertheless my movers called 15 minutes before 8am, and were promptly on time for our move! I had a one bedroom apartment with no bed frame, desk, or sofa (easier to buy new IKEA furniture than haul cross-state) and about 80 boxes, mainly medium size. They packed up the apartment in a little over 2 and a half hours, and unpacked in under 2, even though we moved onto the 6th floor (thankfully with an elevator). With the three hour travel time (even though it took them longer in traffic), and the $315 truck rental flat fee charge, our total cost, including the 10% cash discount (BEST DEAL EVER) was exactly as quoted to us, at $1035 Best money ever spent. I'm out $500 on my deductible because they are moving your valuables from home to home and ask yourself, are they insured? In my situation they were not insured!
