I needed an under dash brake controller installed and was directed to Everett U-Haul by another dealer. There, I was told, is an installation guru...Jesse. The day of the scheduled installation Jesse had researched the Curt brake controller and noted issues others had posted about difficulties with Ford trucks and brake lights. He had a feeling what the 'problem' was, but anticipated no hang-up. One hour later the unit was installed and worked flawlessly as he demonstrated. What a great personable and competent mechanic! A bit of inconvenience because we had to go about 10 miles out of our way to pickup and return the trailer that we wanted when there was a u-haul dealer within 1 mile but we returned it after closing time and we were not charged an extra fee. Went there as a 2nd time for propane refill. I checked in the past and they have the best price around here. As of June 23, price per gal was 2.99 + taxes. Service was quick. I went inside, told a guy, he came right out and helped me refill. Noticed later that they have a sign saying just drive to the refill station. There is a button nearby the station to call for attendance. He even helped me take a filled tank back to my car. I think his name is Gavin. He also give me a tip to prevent rusting on the tank as a precaution. No reason not to come back here for future refills. read more

Well, I reserved a truck and tow dolly a month before moving out of state, the day before my move I was told they didn't have a tow dolly , so ended up spending over 8 hours talking with 12 different customer service reps who kept messing up my order for the dolly (like setting it as a pickup 45 miles north for a 1 day return), finally ended up getting the dolly 20 miles north (when I am traveling south). Came to pickup the truck and it is on empty because as the GM told me, "The gas keeps getting syphoned at night", so now I will have to put at least 1 additional tank in it just to get on the road. I am not sure why U-Haul continues to allow the manager(J.S) to be in his position. The gentleman with the tatoos on his neck. Its clear this guy has been allowed a "second chance" but he has missed it on respecting that grace given. Completely rude-demonstrates that he and his matters are way more important than serving the customer. He had an anger fit because he was asked to serve the customer. He is bad news for the reputation of this U-Haul location. Any good company/manager would train his other employees to fill propane containers. I have never rented a truck or trailer from this location but have had nothing but great service when purchasing boxes and other related supplies. Employees are always friendly. The quality of boxes certainly beats what you find at other stores and they aren't any more expensive. The parking lot sucks but not they can do about that. read more

If I could give no stars to that place I would. If you can avoid renting a UBox and having to deal with that office, then pick another company. Avoid them at all cost! First , they have limited drivers. Because their driver would not go near my place on a given week. My UBox sat at their location for an extra week and they made me pay storage for it. Second, the fees they made made pay are for a month. Yet they want to pick up the UBox and shorten my time because they promised my UBox to someone else. Third, after calling many times and discussing drop off dates and times with them and waiting on the UBox. They postponed delivery date without notifying us. Fourth, the price quoted is not the price they will charge you. Go to other companies to rent a container to move your stuff. Their prices might seem reasonable but the amount of time you will spend arguing, the time you will lose dealing with them and rescheduling, the extra fees that you will incur, and lack of critical understanding from customers service is NOT worth it. At the end, you might as well go with a more reliable and slightly more expensive company. read more

Don't waste your time or money here. I should've looked at the reviews of this location before making the appointment. RED FLAGS EVERYWHERE. Don't bother calling, you get pushed to a call center that plays middle man for you. These people suck at communication. They say they'll call you and they don't. The general manager is very rude and doesn't care for customer service at all. I made an appointment online for a hitch installation, only availability was 1.5weeks out. No problem, I'll wait another couple of days. Fast forward to appointment date, received an unprofessional text message that I dismissed as a spam text. No way to tell that it was actually from Uhaul. (No reservation number or anything. Just a simple text stating they hadn't received the hitch yet). I prefer a phone call over a text that doesn't seem legitimate. Waited a whole other week after my original date for them to finally receive the hitch for installation. Day of drop off /installation: The general manager,Christina, told me that she would call me when my car is ready. I never received a call. Instead I received a text and an email 15 minutes before closing time. I live 25mins away. I hurry over there And I'm not able to get my car back because I didn't get there at 7pm, instead I get there at 7:08pm. I'll have to come back tomorrow to get my car. What a waste of time and energy. My biggest complaint, DONT TELL A CUSTOMER YOURE GOING TO CALL THEM AND NOT FOLLOW THROUGH. I'd probably give five stars if this review was just about the friendliness of the people here. Sadly, that just ended up dragging the overall rating up enough to not be dismal. This place is perpetually understaffed. Any trip here means at least a half an hour of standing in line and a wait for services like adding a trailer hitch to your vehicle that could run over by hours or possibly days. If you're planning on getting a tow hitch installed don't even plan on going here. I called in to get an appointment for a hitch install on my sprinter van. I told them exactly what kind of van I have and that I will need a 7 way wiring installed for my trailer brakes. When I came in for my appointment the first thing that went wrong is that they ordered just a 4 way wiring just for trailer lights. After about 45 minutes of figuring stuff out, the installer comes in and says that the tow hitch they ordered is wrong and it won't fit on my van. I was initial confirmed for the Arlington location. When I arrived the attendant said my pickup is in Everett. The Attendant said I received a voice mail with the change. I have mo record of a phone call or voicemail. I then asked the attendant to please call the Everett office and let them know I'm on my way. He refused. I arrived at the Everett location and they were friendly enough and also were able to get me a 20' truck instead of the 26' truck (which was helpful). However while we were loading my furniture etc, one of my friends noticed a funky smell and some sticky liquid in the attic part of the truck. I didn't pay much attention because it was raining and I wanted to get my stuff loaded. Well when we got to my new house and pulled out the ramp, there was a bunch of garbage sticking to the ramp, like orange peels and other gross stuff. The person before use the truck to haul GARBAGE and they NEVER CLEANED IT OUT! All my furniture boxes, clothing etc were sitting in GARBAGE!!! read more

I had a really crappy wiring installation done by camping world of Spokane when we bought our camper. Nothing but issues from day one and finally our wiring went out completely. Jessie was super helpful at explaining what I would need and what was wrong with the wiring to begin with (it was installed in a really crazy unnecessary way to begin with). He made sure I left with exactly what I needed and installed correctly and charged me super fairly! He is super friendly and a genuine guy! The customer service at this location was also really friendly. The only small issue I had before going to this location was with the call center who originally told me they could not install 7 pin trailer wiring (false- they do!) but this location corrected that and got me what I need. read more

When I came in the first time on Wed. June 9 for a hitch install on my new Subaru Forester they spent 5 minutes searching for the hitch, but didn't communicate with me. The installer went in the back and I thought he must be looking back there, but he never returned. The woman working the front desk helped the next customer in line who had what turned out to be a complicated situation so I stood there for at least 20 min. waiting to find our what the status of my install was. When she finally finished with him she told me they didn't have the hitch and gave me my keys back. Why she couldn't do that before she got involved with him I don't know! I was told they would call me when the  hitch came in, but by Monday the 14th I hadn't heard back. I never could get through to the number of the location to actually speak with anyone so ended up with your national call center where I was told they had the hitch and had set up an install for 2 days later on Wed. - l don't know how they thought I would know about that without a call, e-mail, or text. After a 2nd call to the call center the nice woman who helped me said she would send the manager an e-mail asking her to call me to confirm the appointment. 5 hours later I finally got a call and told her I would prefer to have it installed ASAP so she put me in the next open slot on Tues. She also wasn't apologetic about the fact that they didn't contact me to reschedule when the hitch wasn't there the first time, blaming it on the poor system U-haul has for online ordering. I dropped it off at 11:30 am on the 14th and finally picked it up at 2:30 pm after another 20 min. wait to get my keys. This was the worst customer service and overall experience I've had in many years. At this point I will never recommend U-haul to anyone, esp. this location. read more

This is a great place to get wiring done for your tow vehicle. Jesse J has a ton of experience and is very good at what he does. I took my SUV in with all kinds of wiring/electrical issues and he figured them all out, explained all the issues and fixes to me really well, and sent me out the door with everything excellent. If I could give this location no stars I would! I have never dealt with any uhaul location that has been so absurdly unprofessional and unorganized. I went there to pick up my ubox that I had shipped across country with all my belongings, they wouldn't allow me to schedule a pick up and I was only given 2 days to pick it up before being charged another monthly storage fee. First of all when I walked in there was already 10 people in line and a unhappy customer expressing their dissatisfaction for getting their reservation messed up and not having the vehicle they needed... there was no sense of urgency, the one really efficient employee kept coming in and out and wasn't consistently on the floor and their general manager was sitting In her vehicle unwilling to come in and resolve many unhappy customers issues. I waited in line for an hr and once I got to the counter I was greeted by an employee that seemed like it was their first day. He was very distracted and unable to do anything with barely anyone around to assist him. EXTREMELY FRUSTRATING!! I was told that my ubox would be available TBA because there was no one there who could operate a forklift but come to find out they were on lunch and unwilling to give me a time frame, my phone number was put on a piece of paper and there's was no reassurance of when I would be able to pick it up. I traveled 30 mins to this location with family to help and being told To hangout for who knows how long. I demanded that I speak to a manager where then I was told their general Manager was sitting in her vehicle and unwilling to come inside and handle my issue personally. Another employee communicated that she said she would handle it and a half an hr later I had to come back inside and confirm she did and nothing was done... I had to go off and demand things be sorted out and that's when I was told that my ubox would be available shortly. Mind you I've been there for 2 hrs at this point and before getting any real help. Once the ubox was ready it took them another 30 mins to find wiring and fix the break lights on the trailer. The trailer We were assigned was never documented, I never received a paper copy of my receipt, I was asked to take a pic of the computer as a receipt . Once they fixed the trailer I was on my way, emptied my ubox, cleaned it out and returned it two hrs later. Once I returned it I was told by an employee that there was no number on the trailer and that he would text his manager my name and number and make sure the reservation is closed. I also was told that I could call the location if I had any problems but good luck because they never pick up the phone and have had up to 250 missed calls before ( his words, not mine). I did not receive any confirmation or receipt stating I return the ubox, but I was charged two days later a monthly storage fee because my information wasn't put into the system in time to avoid a recurring charge. I have called 50+ times to this location with no answer, I have talked to customer service multiple times with no resolution on their part, all they can do is send an email to the location and then I have to wait for the saaaaaaame people I had issues with to eventually call me back and give me a refund....f*cking ridiculous I will NEVER go to this location again and I will look for a different company for my moving needs next time. DO NOT GO HERE!! ! Also dont expect that just because you make a reservation online that you will get what you reserved. It's a shit show to the 10th power!!! read more

Appreciated the tech side of the checkout process (a text w a link to an automated tutorial/verification of sorts), as well as the helpfulness of the manager. I had a pretty terrible experience here. Don't get me wrong, the main u-haul customer service center over the phone went well. I worked with them over the course of a month and even managed to get a super low rate. At this location, I had to wait 20minutes behind only one person. Mark, who appears to be a well-trained manager, took his damn time. He was friendly yes, but I was on a time crunch. When the 14' truck was brought out, I felt super rushed to sign the release form. I had several questions and he kept telling me that everything should be accurate. Then he handed me the form expecting me to sign it w/o actually looking at the meters/gauges, truck dents and interiors, and insurance claims. I'm super thankful that everything went well, otherwise it would have been a nightmare if anything went wrong. Although, it should be rated 1.5 stars b/c nothing bad actually happened, I will never come back here. Save your money and either try a different location or try a different moving company like BUDGET. read more

I called to get a quote to get a tow hitch put on my car and was told I had to give my phone number. Why do you need to give a phone number to get a quote? No, I'm not gonna give my phone number so that you can sell it. When I told her I didn't want to give my phone number and why couldn't I just get a quote. She said, " if you don't want to give your phone number then you can go to u-haul.com yourself and get your own quote. " she was snarky I would never do business with this place avoided at all costs they obviously just care about the $and not the customer. The lady needs to be put on meds. Unfortunately she's made it so I don't even want to go to u-haul.com to get a quote. But I will go to them to complain. I reserved a 6' X 12' trailer online early in the afternoon on 6/10 to be picked up at 5 pm 6/10 for a 24 hour rental. I got an email from U-haul with the confirmation and address to pick up the trailer (9640 evergreen way, Everett wa). When I get there at 5pm they tell me that they don't have my trailer and someone was supposed to call and tell me that.... And that I'm supposed to pick it up at 6443 evergreen way.  So I drive to 6443 everything way.  The gentleman there looks up my order by my name, I pay and he says to pull around back where the trailers are. I do so and see one 6' X 12' trailer there so I back up to it. Another gentleman comes out and hooks the trailer to the truck.  I'm prepared to leave and he asks my name (which I give him), and he says I don't see your order. So he goes inside to talk to the guy at the counter (who tells him that I requested some other trailer... Which is completely false. He and I talked about nothing of the sort). He proceeds to tell me this is the last 6' X 12' trailer they have and it's scheduled for someone else.  While he starts disconnecting the trailer, I go back inside to talk to the counter guy (of course there's now a line).   I ask him what's going on with my trailer and why he stated we talked about a different size when we did not (he doesn't answer the second question, and I show him my order confirmation email of the 6' X 12').  IT'S NOW BEEN AN HOUR SINCE I ARRIVED FOR MY APPOINTMENT.   He does a little research, and tells me 'oh this is travel' multiple times....whatever the hell that means.  In short her tells me that it looks like when the original location didn't have the order, they changed the size of the trailer (unbenounced to me) and sent the order to him. He checked the area and said there are no 6' X 12' trailers to rent.   I now have to rent a much smaller trailer (no of course not from u haul), and use it to do multiple trips for my project. read more

I really don't know what was going on with the service when the others wrote reviews. I have gone to this location twice now (with a third rental scheduled for Wednesday!), and have had nothing but FABULOUS service (and as a retail manager, I am TOUGH on judging service!). The two women behind the counter (I will get thier names on Wednesday) know thier stuff, move as quickly as they can, and HAVE FUN DOING IT! It's about time people figure out that if you have to be there 8 hours working, have fun doing it. Both of our previous visits have been on the weekends where they are pretty busy but armed with lollipops for the kids, smiles on thier faces, and a sense of humor, they tackled the line of us busy people with stuff to move with efficiency! Horrible. Don't plan on getting what you reserve! Doesn't matter if you reserve ahead of time, they don't contact you and they give away your truck. You get no apologies and are lucky if that find anything remotely what you had reserved. We reserved a 15 ft truck with a lift and they tried to give us a 10 ft van with no lift. They said they can change your order in the middle of the night with no notice. After refusing to leave they found a truck but said you must return it in 6 hrs instead of 24 for our move-still charging us the full amount. Then after we returned it earlier than the six hours they sent us a bill the following week that can't be paid online (even though they have a site to do it) . the employee had a hard time figuring out the bill on the computer, but they will charge you a 30.00 late fee if it's not paid within the three days they notified us. This place is the worst employee are not train with any customer skills. I made a reservation a week before confirmed my reservation. When I got there they did not have a truck I said it wasn't my problem I had made the reservation and they had confirmed it. Well what I got back from the employee was it wasn't his problem and his manager was standing in front of him. He proceeded to make excuses for his employee. Another customer overhear what he had said to me and proceeded to tell him that was not very professional employee didn't care. They continue to give me excuses I have not gotten any apology from the Reginal manager that I I have left messages with customer service it's been two weeks nothing. We made a reservation a month prior to our move. Moving during Covid has proved stressful. We arrived and found out they didn't have the truck we reserved. They called us the morning we showed up as I was in the office to get the truck. They could not explain why they didn't have the truck we had a reservation for. We were moving far away and the original reservation allowed us to drop the truck off at our new location. The only option they gave us was to get a smaller truck and then we had to return it back to this location. This was an extra trip to not only take additional trips to get all of our items but then we had to drive the truck back to the location adding an extra three hours to our long moving day. On top of that they wouldn't pay for gas or extra mileage and would not refund us for their mess up. They advised they provided us with an alternative truck which was in concrete and hour and a half drive from us. In fact Concrete didn't even have the truck but Oak Harbor had a truck. We are in everett and the reason they advised they couldn't give us a refund because they offered an option to pick up a truck in oak harbor and this is the day of moving...... Absolute worst experience me and my 7 month pregnant wife have ever had moving. We will never be using Uhaul again and will be disputing their charge with our credit card. I do not have enough bad things to say about this day or uhaul. Use any other moving service if you want your moving day to be somewhat organized. Don't waste your time making reservations because uhaul does not honor them and will not show any empathy when they screw it up. read more
