I've been to U-nique for only two times now and I can't go anywhere else. I went to U-nique Cutz one day because I needed a quick haircut for an event and just walked in. The barber that cut my hair and beard is Marcel, who also happens to be the owner. He spent about maybe an hour cutting my hair, but every minute made it to perfection. He noticed some mistakes my previous barber made, and told me that he cares about the detail and fix them himself which I respect so much. I paid $10 more than I would normally pay for a Haircut & Beard Trim but its all worth it. And I was also able to schedule my second appointment with him online and pay with card. About a month ago, I was around the area for a new barber shop because typically you can find a happy medium-either the barbers are too old to understand the type of haircut you are looking for or the shop is filled with the barbers friends acting up, this making patrons feel uncomfortable. I walked into this place and found balance. Clean place and professional experience. I've shaved my own head for 13 years and consider going for a haircut an optional thing, because I can just buzz it myself. Just got my cut done by Marcel . And I have to say he's a straight up hair doctor ! This was my first visit to this place , scheduled an appt. a day prior flawlessly , was greeted by Marcel at the door who then brought me to his chair and talked to me about how I found out about the place and basically what I wanted to do with my hair . I've been previously going to my barber for 15 years who's shop was just way too far for me (12 miles away). Marcel checked the pictures out of the cut I wanted and made a few suggestions that'll help make the cut look better to my appearance , he explained how my previous Berber didn't pay attention to detail, Marcel practically saved my hair by giving it a even cut , he took his time with the fade and to his discovery he noticed that my previous barber didn't use clean clippers and gave me a early stage infection, he told me how I needed to see a dermo asap and told me how important it is to have sanitized equipment , their shop is absolutely spotless and each clipper and scissor is fully sanitized before and after its use which is amazing ! Such detail to everything . My search for a barber is over and I can def see myself being Marcel's regular from now on ! He saved my hair and gave me one of the freshest cuts I've had in a while ! I found this shop via the Squire App, Booking and payment process was easy through the app. I scheduled for 4:45 with Marcel for a haircut & beard trim at $25 because I saw he was the owner and I know the best barber to check is usually the owner. He had me in the chair by 4:47. Not bad! Communication was on point, Speaks 100% English and understood exactly what I wanted right away! My haircut came out absolutely PERFECT! I love it. He took his time and had pride, paid great attention to the finer details. I was out of there by 6:00. He even recommended new styling products, a first for me. My only gripe is that for the beard trim, it was a dry shave and there was no razor on the neck, but from what I gather if I wanted that I would have to pay $32 for towel shave.
