After moving 2600 miles, another company (Dedicated Movers) stood me up. I called Tim at 8AM the next morning and he said that he could send a crew out in the afternoon to unpack my U-Haul. Tetio McClure called me and was ready to come out earlier than Tim said, but now, I was shopping. Titio and Bobby Carter showed up when they said they would and did a great job. I was pleased with their demeanor and how well they worked with me (especially as I was extremely tired and often confused about where I wanted stuff). While the movers were about 30 minutes late, I appreciated the fact that they were in constant communication of their status. The movers were hard working, friendly, and careful with all my belongings. Everything that could possibly be scratched or broken was wrapped in a blanket. I had hired them for three hours and when they realized that it could possibly take more, they let me know so we could plan what I really wanted them to move. I ended up telling them to just move it all. In the end, it only took them 30 minutes more. They even hooked up my washer and dryer for me! I will definitely use them in the future. read more

Tim moved a family heirloom for me, a china cabinet that is over 300 years old. He was so careful to be sure it was wrapped and safe. We used this company for our move 5-29-16. Seems like a great price. We were supposed to have 4 guys and two trucks. The window in which they were to show was from 9-11. We get a call that says we won't be getting the two trucks, because they were unable to rent another truck because it's a busy moving weekend. Well no kidding, it's the end of the month. We booked this a month in advance by the way. So ok, we were told by Tim(owner), that we would get $25 off and still get 4 guys. What was I going to say? It was the day we were moving!! So then I get a call from the gentleman who will be leading the move. Very nice gentleman, as they all were. He says they are 29 minutes out. This is at 10:30. Cool they will arrive right in the window I was given. So it's noon and they finally show. Wtf?! Not only are they late, but there are only three guys not four. So they get right to work and are moving really well. They are on a very good pace. Then the 5 hour marks hits. This is what you pay for. 5 hours. Anything after that is a per hour charge. Well then, now the pace slows. They end up milking another four hours. Seems like a bait and switch type of business. Make sure you get your 8 or 9 hours in. So they finish at 9. We fed them pizza and tipped all three gentleman. Needless to say my bed was damaged, kids bed was damaged and they left huge oil spots at both locations from their truck. I really wish they would have said something about the beds being damaged. I would have appreciated that courtesy. I also would have appreciated the guy who smokes cigarettes, to have not left butts all over the driveways of both houses. I will go ahead and pay another grand next time to ensure a smoother moving experience. It's too bad, these guys were really nice too. Move was scheduled between 3-5pm; After numerous calls to Tim, at 8:30pm still no movers; at 11:15 finally received a call from a driver, who claimed to know nothing about our all day wait. Too late....called studentmovers, they showed up the next day/ I cannot recommend these movers. If Tim had told us up front there was a problem, I would not be writing this negative review. I understand problems can occur, but stalling is not the way to run a business. Had I known they would be no-shows, I would have called student movers early in the day and they would have been there. Amazing movers. Tim and his crew are fantastic. They packed my place, moved it out, moved it into my new place, (all within the city of Houston) in less than 10 hours. Yep. Nothing broken. Not even my delicate crystal. The crew was so nice and friendly. Their prices cannot be beat. I bought the crew food and water and they were even hesitant to stop and eat (even though they'd been working for hours) because they didn't want to cut into my moving time (and therefore add to my hourly rate). They're that sensitive to the hourly rate. By the way, I pretty much forced them a to take a break and have some food. They were more than gracious. The reason I hired 'U-rent-it-we-move-U' is because of fantastic experience & reviews which we can see in this website. Mine was a small move within same community from one apartment in first floor to another apartment in different building on second floor. The team which came to move my apartment were friendly but I felt their work as little slow, may be due to number of items they saw in my apartment to move(only 12-15 big items to move, all small item were already been moved by myself a day before). They did the packing for most of the items using pads and moved them quickly to my other apartment. The whole move was over within 1:30 hrs. But I have disappointment too with their move. I disassembled my baby crib and Ikea bed. They packed it nicely and moved it. My request to setup the Ikea bed and crib at new apartment after the move (as the moving job was over in 1:30 hr) was not accepted. The crew said they cannot do it which was a big disappointment especially when we still have another 30 mins to complete minimum 2 hrs). I am rating them Ok just for the move. I felt I was served better by my earlier movers who did the move and even did the quick assembly when I moved last time which was year back. read more

I've never had better service! My husband and I are career movers, as the hubby is a builder. We have probably moved 15 times in our 20 year marriage. This move was the one I worried about the most because it was between Sugarland and Austin- a distance move. Tim and his crew were incredible! They have their system down pat! As soon as they entered the home, they began organizing and wrapping; and these boys loaded in the most efficient way I've ever seen! We had four guys, two trucks. Though it didn't start until noon, including disassembling and reassembling beds, and the drive to Austin, the total move took 14 hours. NOT ONE THING BROKEN. They were still smiling in the end. THREE DAYS later I call them and speak to Tim (Barely comprehensible English) and he tells me they can't keep the appointment because of an overlap between phone and online bookings. We used this company in our move from Houston to Colorado. I hope that no one else will ever experience what we did. Due to the terrible loading of our belongings, we had damage to many of our belongings. Our entertainment center was destroyed and our year old washer and dryer were damaged. When our unloaders in CO began to unload, the load began to fall, and many of our boxes were crushed. Pieces of furniture that we have had for years were damaged. The loaders were very nice and friendly, but they obviously have no idea what they are doing. Save yourself some heartache and run the other way. read more
