I wish I could give this place zero stars. Horrible service and rude people working there. You can tell from the faces of the employees the minute you enter the place that it's not gonna be a good day. They all look upset and angry for no reason. If you start asking questions they get irritated easily. They will give you papers to fill that look like has been prepared by a 1st grader. They make copies of everything for themselves but won't give you a copy. If your car has been involved in a crash and you want to get your stuff out they only allow 1 person to go in even if you are on a wheelchair they won't allow anyone to assist you because that's their rules. They are contracted with Hawhtorne police so the police dept makes money having your car towed with this company. They have a very lucrative contract with the City Of Hawthorne and they charge not only for towing but for every minute you leave the car there there's a charge on top of that plus a $200 "administration fee" that they supposedly give back to the City Of Hawthorne. So you basically "steal my car", hold it ransom and then I have to wait 30 minutes for you to "process" it to get it back. Anyway this entire ordeal was overwhelming but the business itself is very underwhelming. They're located in the back of industrial buildings so not very easy to find. You park and walk up to what looks like a secluded brick building. The office has a huge desk with glass, one bench, a broken vending machine and a list of cars that people left impounded. The man at the front desk spoke so quickly that it was difficult to understand him through his mask and the double-pained window. When you have to work behind what looks like a bullet proof glass desk- you may not be working in the best of industries. I guess they realize that they're making money off of other peoples' misfortune, forgetfulness or lack of ample parking in the city of Hawthorne so they need to take precautions. So they make you wait but there's no restroom and no compassion but they treat you like a criminal for getting your car towed. Then when your "stolen" car is returned someone that you don't know gets in your car and gets it for you. I had a medical emergency on the freeway and CHP had them tow my car, my car was with them for less than 24 hours and I was charged $500! The staff are rude, inconsiderate, greedy and deliberately tell you your car isn't there in order for it to be with them for a longer period of time. If I could give this establishment zero, I would (that statement comes up way too much for a towing company). My car was parked legally on a public street, but for some reason it was towed and there was a report that said I was in a tow away zone. Didn't come out to see it until 7PM on a Saturday night (it was towed between 4P and 7P just hours before), but their offices are 'closed' at 6PM so I could not go reclaim it. I was 45 miles away from my residence, and left stranded in Hawthorne. Had to come back and get it but couldn't on Sunday (my fault, I get it) and then Monday was a holiday, they were closed so Tuesday morning was my next best window to get my car. They charged me for storing their car, even though I was able to speak to a woman on Sunday and they said there would be no extra charges. They charged me for four days of storage (one was a PUBLIC HOLIDAY, and they were closed - no way to pick up my vehicle) and to top it off - they were completely unsympathetic. They had the car less than 72 hours, but charged me for the 4 days (including the first, when I couldn't even pick up the car). I know they probably get a lot of grief, but they made a bad situation even worse. Seems like they have a contract with the LAPD, so they get to be poor excuses for employees and still have job security. Too bad. Don't believe me? Just read all the other reviews here. The lady sitting in the first desk was utterly rude, laughs at people's mishaps and cracks jokes about it to the lady in the desk right behind her . The whole front desk employees need to get the right training on customer service because they evidently lack on it and the manager needs to learn how to manage her employees since they behave the way they do in front of her and she does not even acknowledge it. I called US Tow and I told them my name and car make a male answered and he said, "it hasn't even been entered into the system yet call back in 5 minutes!" So I did abs got a female that answered who was much nicer and o told her I needed to release to my insurance company so I emailed my ID and statement to that effect. Horrible Service, I paid to have a car released and received a notice charging me for having a car that was released?

Shady business, shady people. Towed my car on Thanksgiving night 2022 and when I came the next day to retrieve it they charged my card twice. After reaching out to them for reimbursement they ask for proof in the form of bank statement so I waited a month while my bank statement prepared and when it was ready I drove it to them. After showing them and sending them copies they agreed pay me by check or card reimbursement. But when it was time to collect they put me on the phone with an accountant that claimed they never received the money, even though my bank statement showed they charged me for it and the money left my account. After leading me on making it seem like proof was all they needed, they refused to pay me or even acknowledge that it happened. I would be ashamed to work at this disgusting filthy establishment. Wow just watched Vincent from US Tow do an amazing recovery. The fire department were standing by on a vehicle which had run over train tracks and onto a steep berm. The vehicle barely had 3 tires on the ground and looked as if it was going to roll over... Vincent came up with a quick plan and recovered the vehicle with very very minimal damage (if none at all). This is the worst nightmare for anyone. I walked outside my mom's house to bring my car around and it was no where to be found. I freaked out "OMG I think my car got stolen".. my mom started freaking out as well not knowing what had happened. I walked up and down the street hoping that I just forgot where I parked it but NO. It's gone. My personal belongs and my childrens car seats inside. It's 8 pm and an Uber will not have the car seats for me to get home. no wallet or CCd.. I went back into my mom's house and pulled the number to the nearest town yard to ask if they had the car. A gentleman answered. He was so slow on the phone and had no sense of urgency. I asked about my vehicle so he put me on hold. I was on hold for 15 minutes before he came back to let me know "yes, it's here".. okay I'm happy it's there so I asked if I can pick it up he responds "No", can I pick up the car seat "No", my wallet "No". He was so harsh in his answers. The next morning I get a ride to the tow yard. There is no1 sitting in the front and no one answers the old school bill. We call the # and the guy says I can see you on the camera. How rude is this response.. you see me on the camera yet you don't come out to help. Finally he is out and asked to see my ID.. well it's in the car.. he leaves and comes back with my purse. How the hell did you get my bag out of the car when it's locked. He says the car was unlocked when it got towed. He runs my card and gives me the police report to sign.. guess what the report says "car was locked".. hmmm I tell him that and he says that they can unlock any car if they need to. I said NO, you shouldn't be unlocking any car as you please. He was rude in his responses and slow in everything. It was unbelievable. HPD calls and said they found the car. It's being taken to the tow lot. Great! I head over thinking they're going to turn over the vehicle. US Tow wants $280! And 50 more for each day it's in their possession! US Tow literally had it less than a day, and towed it all of two miles. How is this legal?! If nothing else, it's not ethical. Even off brands generally charge $90 plus miles for towing. $280 for two miles and less than a day on your lot?! I thought that was on the low side, but figured it was because they were only a couple miles away. Dammm not sure how in the world this tow company has a PD contract, the level of service is poor overall, the dispatchers are unprofessional and don't greet you at all. They undermine everyone and pretend to be the smart ones. All they do is eat Cheetos and talk about people when the leave. I was personally treated very bad, all I do is pick up cars for transport here that's all and I get the same level of treatment as the poor people that are trying to make ends meet and their car is everything. I get it's a nasty business but your employees don't need to take it to the next level. I think that management needs to start training them self and then train the staff. Lawsuits and complaints are not a good stain on that resume when it comes time to renew contracts. I have also notified the tow officers in Hawthorne pd of their lazy rude and lack of procedure protocol so they keep and eye on it. 0 STARS! was forced to give 1 to rate Unprofessional Tow Driver - Driver 6, Tow Unit 24 (named Ryan?) He was extremely rude with me after I had been involved in a major auto accident. I reported my accident to the Hawthorne PD and they apparently called US Tow. When the driver arrived (beard, glasses), he was really chatty with the Hawthorne PD, but was very unfriendly and unprofessional with me. I told him that I am trying to get the address from my boss of the tow destination. He told me I had to hurry a few times in a very rude tone. He refused to get the tow destination address from my boss as my boss requested to speak with him by phone. He attempted to drive away with my vehicle parking brake on. He blamed me for his error of making sure the parking brake was off before driving away! He said on a rude tone aloud "You didn't take your parking brake off." He never asked me to take it off, nor checked.....totally unsafe and irresponsible on his part! Keep in mind, dealing with this dude right after a major accident!
