Place appears clean but, like others have mentioned, lacks true privacy. It's very hit or miss with the masseuse, unfortunately. Didn't get the full 90mins; both masseuse left the room at least 4 times. Language barrier was tough. My man wanted to get a couple's massage as a much needed treat for the both of us. My first thought was to search Groupon as a way to get introduced to a potential long term massage spot for he and I to frequent. U Spa had great ratings both on Groupon and Yelp (albeit more negative reviews on the latter). The deal: $116 for a 90-minute couples massage with back scrub, hot stones, and essential oil. (Tbh, idk what the essential oil was for as "spas" typically include this to make the place smell nice.) Anyhow, I called the place and spoke to perhaps the owner? I told him I found them thru Groupon and he immediately wanted to know if I've purchased the voucher yet. No, I haven't - he thanked me for not buying the voucher and said he would honor the same Groupon price if I paid him directly. (Huh?? Okay...) I was able to make a same-day appointment for later that afternoon. We arrived 15mins before our appt time, only to get a text message advising they will see us at 3:45pm - our appt was for 3:30pm. My man was getting a bad taste in his mouth as is but I told him to try to keep a positive outlook. I texted back asking if there were any forms to sign, as this was customary at massage places. No reply. Instead, the same man I had spoke with came outside to wave us in. Once inside, we still had to wait until about 3:45pm, as indicated on the text. It was this time I decided to look at the many signs they had on the walls and on the counter. I noticed that they had specific amounts suggested for tips based on "happy" levels. This was VERY odd and I remembered what previews reviews had mentioned about tipping. Hmm... Anyway, it was our turn. We were brought in to a room with two beds for the couples massage. The male masseuse initially had come to work on me and (older) female masseuse on him. There was little to no greetings, nor did they ask if any specific part needed to be worked. My man asked the female masseuse if he can have strong, firm pressure. No. He cannot. This was when it started to go downhill. They were speaking in Chinese so we couldn't understand what was happening. The owner came in the room and asked my man if he would be ok with the male masseuse because, and I kid u not, "SHE IS A GIRL AND CAN'T DO HARD PRESSURE." I am not exaggerating this by no means. It's a direct quote. WHY IS SHE IN THIS INDUSTRY?!?! Anyway, we switched masseuse. I had the weak female and let me tell you. She. Sucked. She had zero technique and I had to ask her to increase the pressure twice. All she knew to do was use her elbows and her forearms to dig into my muscle and to "roll" on my skin. At one point, she was breathing hard! Damn, lady. The hot stones were not used "properly"... they were there as tools for them to scrub our backs with whatever scrub they used and not to actually massage us. The aromatherapy portion of the ad? I have no idea what that was about. After getting dressed, my man did say his masseuse (male) didn't do too bad of a job and argued the tip amount - at this point I really didn't care to give the female masseuse anything. We decided to tip his masseuse a bit more than mine. When we came out, the female masseuse and the owner were out there waiting for tips. They didn't offer us any beverages, they wanted more money. I handed the female masseuse the tip and SHE STARTED COUNTING THE MONEY RIGHT THERE like I owed her or something! Seriously, wow! We asked for the male masseuse so we can tip him but the owner literally said, "That was me." What? Bro. Your shoes are different. It was not you. Seriously such a waste of time and money. The only positive to this was we were able to been seen on the same day and the now-MIA male masseuse did a fairly okay massage on my man. Other than that: STAY AWAY. I found about U Spa through Groupon as a birthday gift from my girlfriend. She got us the 75 Minute couples massage including the scrub and hot stones. The owner was super cool about the Groupon they just asked that we screenshot the voucher and they'd honor the price for us there - which makes total sense from business perspective however they do have a limit on how many they can honor per day so be sure to ask in advance as your are booking. Our therapists were extremely professional and clearly experienced. I actually needed less pressure considering they were pretty strong and I appreciated they cared a lot for our comfort level. Our group (4 women) had a pretty good experience here, and the price was very fair. We originally were going to Groupon but we called and they discouraged it and offered a better price anyway. I asked about cash or credit when I booked, multiple times, and he said it didn't matter. However, when we got there the signs were clear that the price he gave us was cash and if we paid with cards there would be a surcharge. Fine. They were organized, clean, and on time. Each mini room was a sectioned off space with 2 beds in it. Some customers were loud which was kind of annoying, but it was mostly peaceful. Of the 4 of us I definitely had the biggest challenge with my therapist. At one point she asked how I was doing and I said it hurt and she said "no hurt no health" and her and another therapist chuckled. At another point she asked if I wanted her to do my back more or move to my feet. I said feet because my back was sore but she went to my back anyway and didn't stop until I repeated myself twice. I've been getting professional massages for decades in many countries and cities and this just wasn't a huge pleasure. Also, even if you walk to the busy and popular strip club/mega store next door... getting an Uber or Lyft out of this area is nearly impossible. Drive or call ahead. read more

Do not buy their Groupon! So I was looking for a nice couple massage for my guy and I. U Spa has a spa has a promotion for a 90 minute couple massage that I was interested in. So I purchased it. Once I purchased it I gave them a call and then they hassled me for purchasing the voucher on Groupon rather than buying it from them. I didn't bother me as long as I can book it to the appointment then I will be fine. So I book the couples appointment and then I realize that I forgot to tell him that I would like to have two female masseuse. So I gave a call back to give that notation. The guy wouldn't honor it. I asked him that we can reschedule for a different date and time so we can schedule two females. He kept saying no no no. I already bought the voucher on Groupon.
