I ordered the Beach Bum sandwich off of the cold sandwich menu, which on the board said it came with turkey, bacon, cheddar cheese, lettuce, tomato and avocado. I asked for no tomato and to add regular mayonnaise. No where did it mention red onion. When I got home, there was sliced red onion on my sandwich, which I am allergic to. There was also barely any avocado or mayonnaise on my sandwich. I tried eating the sandwich and took off the onion, but the smell was so strong, after a few bites, I was afraid to continue eating it. We got two sandwiches and two Del drinks. The check was $28, which it a bit much. The other sandwich was a bacon, egg and cheese, which was cooked in a microwave. For what you are getting, it is very overpriced. The menu is inaccurate, and the employees making the food & taking orders are not paying attention. read more

The last three time I've ordered an adult grilled cheese via UberEats (that has ham, mustard, and apple slices) I've gotten a simple grilled cheese on bread or a bagel. I'm sure mornings are busy but if the staff is unable to handle the morning rush along with online delivery orders to go, to the point where they are unable to literally give the customer what they asked for as advertised not be menu, then online ordering shouldn't be an option. When I get what I order I am never disappointed in UCBC but nothing is worse than waiting an hour for your order to get to you just for it to be wrong. read more

I have given UCBC in East Norwalk multiple attempts to improve. Sunday morning at 10:30am- we are the only customer and yet we feel that we have disturbed the workers. Order a bagel with egg and bacon. After more than a year to fix their issues, the egg is microwaved in a bowl and it a blob of sponge. The bacon is paper thin and microwaved as well. Pretty much was a horrible attempt. No flavor. Ordered a croissant- obviously was pre frozen Sysco pastry with zero crunch and zero butter floppy pastry. Ordered an everything bagel with scallion cream cheese - $6.99 ?! Prices are simply outrageous. Pretty much a rip off at these prices and quality of the product overall is poor. We attempted to order Avocado on the bagels. They didn't have any and yet five of the menu items have avocados in the sandwiches. Why wouldn't you just run to a grocery and buy some ? Instead you can't sell and make money from numerous items on your own menu. You also don't have hummus. Same thing go out and buy a tub. There is deli/grocery less than 100 yards away. Bad coffee. Poor management and lack of culinary interest to meet the demands of the neighborhood. Sorry. I like to support local establishments but you're not even trying to make a good product or experience. One of the worst bagels and bacon egg and cheeses in Norwalk, CT. Paid a ridiculous amount of money for a everything bagel with veggie cream cheese. There was little to no cream cheese on this bagel and its the most expensive in town. Bacon egg and cheese, MICROWAVED eggs. Overall goto Village Bagels, Mike's Deli, Paulis Deli, or Liz Sue over this place. read more

East Norwalk booming with young families needed this! Bagels and coffee! Our neighborhood was PUMPED. But this place is so below average (minus the super nice staff) Two words: microwaved eggs. Coffee almost undrinkable. Staff are super patient but seem constantly under resourced. If you're serving egg sandwiches, please please please use a griddle. We live in Marvin Beach and are doing constant runs to Village Bagels for our whole block every weekend. We'd love to go to UCBC but the bagel sandwiches are borderline gross. First the reduced "winter hours", now are they closed for good? Arrived here 45mins after they were supposed to open, place is dark in inside, door is locked, no sign in the window explaining why they're not open and a guy was in the parking lot asking me if I was going to open the place. I went there for breakfast to try it out. I was the only one in the place and yet the woman acted like I was disturbing her. I asked for a ham egg and cheeses, but had to settle for an egg and cheese because they didn't have ham. The egg is made in a microwave and tastes like plastic. Nothing special at all about the bagel either. Sorry, but I don't recommend this place based on my experience. read more

Really UCBC??? Now you're only open Friday, Sat and Sun now? What about us hungry folks who work Mon - Friday? I had high hopes (except for the eggs) the bagels are great, the staff is top notch, why oh why do you set yourself up for failure.
