AND then excuses excuses AND they " can't predict traffic " + + then don't give a time for when it's coming next day - as if someone should sit home all day waiting for a Delivery from udder milk. INSANITY ! All the while blaming me the customer because I don't know " how it works " THIS IS NOT THE WORST OF IT ! Their yogurt is not sealed, their cream cheese not sealed, the cottage cheese not sealed !! And it's raw !! These foods are made with bacteria , live cultures. ARE YOU KIDDING ME ! This place is the best. Been getting 10 gallons of milk delivered to my house every weekend. Delivery usually between 6-8:30 (I live in CT) No problems at all, good milk. Sometimes I'll order x gallons of milk in plastic, and They deliver a few of them in glass, which is pretty honest because they were prob out and needed to give me the expensive option. I just ordered and received my order today on Sunday. I ordered Raw Milk, Yogurt, raw butter and pastured eggs. They delivered late at 930pm BUTTTTT their products taste SO good. So so good. It's fresh and creamy. I was a little impatient about the time but it's worth the wait. The driver was a normal guy, not rude like the previous reviews. Good products, but when it comes to customer service: a disaster! I don't understand their delivery schedule. It supposedly changes all the time. If you have kids, and rely on dairy products, you don't want to be left dependent on them, wandering will I or will I not get a delivery this week, and when, and with no one to contact for an answer... They never answer the number on the website, so basically still have to go to the store and buy your milk an eggs... I have done that many times, sometimes they end up delivering it any ways on a different day, and then I am stuck with extra milk and end up wasting it.... read more

Placed my order on 11/13 and had my order delivered on 11/14. It was hard to get a hold of someone at first but my driver texted me back later to confirm he did receive my order. I received an email confirmation letting me know what time I should be expecting my order. Everything went smoothly. Cant wait to try my goats milk and have some eggs for dinner tonight. The website is a little sketchy because you check out and aren't asked for payment or really given any other details besides your delivery day, but I've never been unhappy with an order once it arrives. Expect to be waiting around on delivery day and to pay your delivery driver in cash but the product is well worth it. The Guernsey raw milk and Greek yogurt are both creamy and delicious. Love Udder Milk's products. Have been ordering from here for about a year now and am so happy to have found them. I order once every two weeks - usually eggs + the amazing Guernsey milk, which doesn't//shouldn't last more than 4-5 days from the date of delivery. The quality of the milk especially is beyond anything. Reminds me of European dairy, which actually doesn't trouble my system unlike US dairy. Someone in the reviews described the milk as tasting like vanilla ice cream - s/he was not wrong! If US dairy doesn't suit you (i.e. you always have bloating or your digestive system just can't handle it like mine despite my love for dairy), and you have tried everything under the sun to help with that to no avail, give the raw milk a shot. I know some people are skeptical but it has made my life better in so many ways. I did a lot of research on this and apparently the naturally occurring lactase enzymes in raw milk actually aid the digestive process and boost immunities...whereas pasteurization kills off those necessary enzymes, which in turns creates the bloating, gas etc. In fact, if you are lactose intolerant, it's bec you lack the lactase enzymes thanks to pasteurization. Raw milk is actually GOOD for lactose intolerant people...a game changer. I don't boil the milk - the natural fat separates in an unappealing way. Anyway, I leave money for the delivery in a cooler with my doorman every Saturday morning, and receive the goods by afternoon. I must say - delivery has gotten much better considering it would be expected to arrived in the early afternoon but often arrived late Saturday night or even Sunday morning. You're in the wild west now. Communication is non-existant with calls texts and emails left unanswered. Nevertheless, driver showed up about 6:45 pm Friday night. Food and milk quality is very wild tasting and a complete departure to what most of us are used to buying from super markets. All cuts of meat smell and taste like the barnyard as I sense some part of process may have hygene issues or that small homegrown operations might be inexperienced with optimal timing of finishing and aging. The buffalo and sheeps milk had tastes as if I was tasting the animal, which may be a good thing. I've tasted many grass fed meats and raw dairies from all over the country and i rarely experience such smells and tastes, that if you are not used to, would likely be offending. My fear is that farms unable to afford to certify organic also cannot afford proper health standards and quality control as well. You may disagree so start I suggest small when ordering. read more

Their goat kefir has helped my stomach issues so much, I can't even describe. Their duck eggs are unbelievable. I became aware of this service after having some autoimmune and gut issues, and their products have helped a lot. Raw goat milk and goat kefir is a really, really different thing than what you get in the store. Udder Milk describes itself as a "coop on wheels". They offer a variety of raw goat and cow milk products (kefir, butter, cheese). They also offer a pretty remarkable assortment of grass-fed meats, all from local farms. They seem totally legit about providing the highest quality meat and dairy. They also offer delicious raw honey. You have to first become a member, and then you can place your orders online, with a $15 minimum order. They deliver on Sundays (at least they delivered to me in Brooklyn on Sundays), and this is the inconvenient part because they don't say when they will be by. I learned after a couple of deliveries that there was a two hour window they delivered in, so I just made sure to be home then. You can also leave a cooler on your porch if you'll be out. For the raw milk enthusiasts this is a pretty easy way to get delicious, high-quality raw milk in the city. read more

Tremendous service with incredible products. This is a business who cares and cultivates real food. I wouldn't have had a resource for natural nutrition for my family without them. The false review posted by a "member" this week should be cause for grave concern amongst us all as it's someone who's sole purpose is to undermine access to choice and natural foods. The very simple and glaring problem with their claim is not a single other instance of illness occurred from deliveries by Udder Milk. As the milk delivered comes from the same small batches, it is absolutely impossible that only one customer would get sick. If one would, all would. Question this bizarrely atypical review and take a stand for access to natural and real foods. Big agriculture doesn't want you to have that access. read more

After simply asking to be removed from their mailing list, they still have been unable to handle removing my name and email address from their system. I wrote my fourth or fifth request (over the past year) this morning to be removed from the list once again. This is the response I got back. "i did remove you but no body ask you to register in our website .you cost us time to review your application to accept you as a customer and then to remove you ,you could easy block us from your email or even go to your account in our website and check a box to dont receive mails from us and you the one who complains !!!!!!!!!!! thanks any way" Very unprofessional, in my opinion. You can judge whether you want to be associated with this company and deal with this type of behavior. I just want them to stop emailing me weekly. What happened to Udder Milk? I used to order from them back in 2010. It was great. I had an estimated time of when my delivery would come and although I had to wait a while, I had an idea of when it would arrive. Fast-forward to 2014. I just placed an order with them. No estimate of what time it might arrive. I waited all day, could not even take a shower and finally around 9:15 at night, I gave up and went to bed for the night after I emailed them telling them I was disappointed they didn't show up and I had wasted my entire day. The next morning, there's a message on my phone at 9:52 that they were there with my delivery. Really? Ten o'clock at night?? I'm supposed to wait around for over 12 hours?? I wish they would give a three-hour window. Until they implement a system that works, I will not be ordering again. Too bad - I love their milk. read more

After leaving a cooler out for them when our family left for dinner, the driver didn't leave the food behind so I emailed UM to check on the status of the order. We received not one, but TWO rude voicemails about how it was our fault for not being home and we should get our own cow. I completely agree with Leah - rude, unprofessional and incompetent. We would have happily worked something out to make it easier for the driver to get to our front door (we live in an apt building), but we will be ordering from more friendly farmers from now on. read more

Used to be good, On time and then after almost a year of being dedicated customer, Packages come smaller, items are missing, delivery in midtown Manhattan has gone from approx. noon to 7 pm. They give estimates on delivery but don't adhere to it. I missed one delivery since my Super was not available and I was out after waiting till 6:20 on Saturday evening. They come don't deliver anything and then tell me that I owe $10 extra for making the driver come to me. No where on the website its listed that there is a charge for missing the delivery (which is I guess on a 10 hour window). They tell me they will deliver between 5-6pm and then never do. Text me later saying that since I didn't pay $10 extra they chose not to deliver this time as well. Nicely done, udder milk read more

This farm and the deliveries made from it are a gift from God! I am so thankful to have found Udder Milk. I have been ordering from them for about a year now. Those of you who are upset with the operation should reconsider. The benefits of having raw milk and healthy bright orange yolked eggs ( and the list goes on) should far outweigh the lack of superb customer service. Let's face it people...they are people who work a farm not Bloomingdales!!! a minute ago I purchased raw Greek style goats milk yogurt from uddermilk. First off I give them 5 stars for the way the company is ran. It's been a busy week and I got the days mixed up somehow and thought Tuesday was Wednesday and that was the day my order would arrive. This is obviously an error on my end, I did have someone home to receive my order, but I didn't leave the money with them and the driver was kind enough to leave my order and let me pay for it via PayPal the next day. The yogurt itself is very fresh a little gamey tasting, but sweet not super tangy like Greek yogurts I've gotten in stores. The ordering process was easy. The overall website could stand to be modernized and there should be an option to pay via PayPal when purchasing. I believe they do give you a cut off date to make changes to your order, but it must be done via email. I'll definitely be ordering other products. Thank you Uddermilk! read more

Udder Milk is Uber Awesome. First - my delivery was around 9:30pm, the driver, Ahmad, had called me earlier in the day and he was really pleasant to deal with it. If you look on their site they give you the number of every delivery person that you can call and see when they'll get to you. I only mention this because the negative reviews made me a bit hesitant which was a mistake because... Second - Their products are fantastic, to think this is the stuff that human beings evolved on and we can't even get it anymore, enter Udder Milk. My first order which I'm reviewing here consisted of 2 dozen eggs, 1 lb ground beef, 1 qt buttermilk, 2 lb chicken breast, 1 lb butter salted. We got the delivery last night and sipped the buttermilk, absolutely delicious, it's like a decadent milk with such a full wholesome taste that I can't really articulate having been a "grocery store" milk drinker all my life. This morning we had the eggs scrambled, mixed with butter milk and fried in the butter - It was the best scrambled eggs we've ever had. The whole combo works really great together Lunch just passed and I made 2 burgers about 1/4 lb each and that is what really prompted this review. The grass fed ground beef cooked up so perfectly and deliciously with light seasoning I almost made two more burgers. The meat taste like MEAT - it's delicious, the fat content seems perfect. I seasoned with salt, pepper, turmeric, garlic and fried in olive oil & butter. It's like you know when you think you had a good burger but really it was just a good sauce and a fancy bun? These burgers from this meat are good all alone by themselves, the meat flavor blew my mind so I had to come here and write this. I can't wait for dinner. read more

I signed up for Udder Milk delivery about six months ago but had yet to place my first order until last week. I was hesitant based on certain negative reviews I've read, but after reading Nina Planck's book "Real Food", I decided to take the plunge to get access to tasty raw milk. I cannot believe I waited so long! The fresh raw butter and raw Greek yogurt are out of this world delicious and the milk is so tasty. Plus, I bought some grass-fed ground beef and it was hands down the BEST ground beef I've ever had. SO much flavor! And to the naysayers who have issues with customer service, a little patience and understanding goes a long way. My delivery driver was SO nice and gave me an accurate delivery time via the phone number provided on the confirmation email. Udder Milk is very open from the start about how to receive orders and what to do if you can't be home. It's honestly very simple. I have already placed my second order and I'm so excited to continue buying their products, which, after living in and paying NYC grocery store or farmer's market prices, are very reasonable in my opinion. The ONLY reason I'm not giving five stars is because I'd like to be able to pre-pay online for my delivery (even if just through PayPal) so I don't have to worry about having cash on me or leaving it in a place where it could potentially be stolen if I'm not home to receive my delivery (I don't have a doorman or neighbors to receive it for me). Even worse, I cannot get any response from UdderMilk on this problem, although I have texted my contact, emailed the company and posted on their Facebook page. If they respond and correct the problem, I will order again. If not, well, that result will be a lost customer, and one who is VERY active on social media. Delivery can be complicated but I recently purchased raw (cow) milk and butter from Udder on the advice from some people at my CrossFit box. This was my first time experiencing raw milk, as I generally am lactose intolerant, and amazingly I had no issues whatsoever. Plus their milk literally tastes like vanilla ice cream. We have ordered from Udder Milk for two years, each delivery ~ 80 - $160, in return we received quality food. BUT and a REALLY BIG BUT is their delivery service is by worst I have had to experience from any business we have dealt with. TERRIBLE would be the least of words to describe them. I came to this conclusion after two and half years of being fed up with terrible delivery service. I will only highlight the four incidents which made us quit on Udder Milk, and never again will we tolerate. 1) For over two years we received our delivery between 8PM and 1AM, mostly it was between 11 pm and 1am. The driver asked us leave money (Over $150) in an envelope inside the ice-box. Make sense to do that with your grocery. 2) To accommodate the beligerent driver we decided to pay by check, and obviously he was not notified by his management, so one fine summer day at 0100 he decided to ring the bell, and after us explaining to him that we had already paid by check, decided to make a comment that "Your ppl always give me trouble". Well when I got quite furious, first of all what did he mean by that, secondly you are at my home at 0100 and are having a shouting match with me. What you will find here is that udder milk customer service will apologize for the driver behavior, but make no effort to improve or train the driver, deliver in a timely fashion, and or provide tools to the drive to select the grocery. After this incident, we still continued given the Udder Milk customer service had apologized. 3) Now rarely, it would happen that we would get the wrong cut of meat, and/or bad item. We had no problems as long as Udder Milk understood. We never even asked for a refund, as Udder Milk would want to asses the meat/product, so they prefer that we keep the expired/rotten product in our fridge for over a week and return to the driver. Since the items were delivered so late we did want to make neighbours suspicious late at night abt a strange person in a white van analyzing a piece of meat. Any resonable neighbourhood would have called 911 to be honest but we live in a good neighbourhood. The issue here was that the person delivering at night would have little or no way to see the order as the driver would be using a torchlight to go into freezer van and pull the items out. Given that the delivery would be so late, we would never question and review the items later, and then the discovery would be there. Again, this happened very infrequently. 4) So on one fine late night - the driver decided to comeby at his leisurely pace I asked him to stop by the light, and this time I asked him to please check the order as the last item of the delivery was not correct. Obviously taking his abuse over the past two years, and him knowing that his employer allows him to conduct his behavior ins such a manner and he can get away without being reprimanded, he went on a tirade. Told me for the second time that he does not like me and dropped the F bomb and left. Henceforth, we have decided not to order from Udder Milk again. The problem was that I was never going to report this on Yelp, because again Udder Milk products are decent. Customer service was vigilant and apologetic for the employees behavior. We reconsidered after checking all the reviews and finding the similar behavior it would only be fitting to write this review. I only do hope that if Udder Milk can find a better way to improve their delivery service in a timely fashion. I am willing to pay more but will NOT tolerate ignorant behavior. There are services like UPS and FEDEX that deliver. read more

This coop provides raw milk that is incredibly creamy and delicious. I like this milk, and so do my kids. I use the goat milk to make a healthy digestible alternative to powdered formula. The smell in the diapers is sooo much better. They deliver. You pay upon pick up. I have had a great experience working with them. I understand they are a no frills operation, so they don't spend all their time doing customer service. I like their products and the information on their website. read more

Although sometimes the delivery is a little weird, I have never had a problem with one product from this place. I have been using them for over 7 years. They are good people, run a business to help others, and some of the products they carry cannot be found Any where else. There was some reports in November about a person getting ill from one of these products. This is possible. However, It's only one person, not hundreds of people. And this is the dairy industries doing. It's a way of stopping a business that's cutting into their business. I'd like to know whether or not the person who got sick actually survived. Received my order this Saturday and it went pretty well! Delivery man was a bit rushed and didn't say much, but that's a minor quibble. The products are pretty great. Look, smell, and taste legitimate and healthy. So thankful to have access to a delivery service of this nature. I did receive one item that seems to be a mistake, but not the end of the world. I started ordering from Udder Milk this past summer and have been very satisfied with the quality and delivery. This is a much needed service in the area and as an advocate of an ayurvedic diet and lifestyle, it is important to have access to fresh raw milk and other organic products. My kids love the milk. Absolutely the best. I only wish the fresh meat was available more often but I understand that. The dairy products are amazing. I eat the liver raw as a vitamin supplement being as it is so packed with nutrients and it is fantastic as far as taste. The delivery is ALWAYS smooth as well. Wow! Raw milk, who knew?! I am amazed. I live in the Bronx and this rich, creamy deliciousness was delivered to my front door! I placed an order on their website for 1/2 gallon of milk, 2 different types of cheese, ground beef, sour kraut and garlic scape spread. I followed the directions on the website and left the money in a cooler and went about my day. Kamal, called to tell me he was on his way and what time he would arrive. It was enough time for me to return home if I chose. However, he explained that my products would be ok in the cooler for the two hours that would pass before I returned. He was right. It turned out I didn't arrive home for another six hours. I worried my milk would be warm and have only myself to blame. Fortunately the milk was still cold and my chopped meat still frozen. I was a little hesitant to taste raw milk...sweet, luscious, creamy goodness is the only way to describe it. I am lactose intolerant and generally avoid drinking store bought milk by the glass, but this tasted so good, I downed two glasses. I hope it's true that raw milk doesn't trigger lacose intolerance...yet it was worth the risk! read more
