    Expires on your birthday

This is regarding redeeming a birthday voucher if you downloaded their app. I came to redeem a $5 birthday voucher for a drink at the register since I couldn't apply it at checkout in the app for no reason. The crew members were kind to reach out to their manager for more clarification. It turns out I'm supposed to redeem it on the day of my birthday even though it says within 7 days. If your birthday is coming up and you downloaded their app, redeem this offer right away because this dumb app doesn't give much details. As for all the drink promos, you must wait in line at the register to redeem BOGO milk teas and limited edition Genic camera which I spent nearly $20 with the Honeydew Cloud Milk Tea back in June. The milk tea was still watered down despite they added whipped cream on top. I'll have to ditch all their popular milk teas and order fruit teas instead. The workers are still friendly despite how busy it gets during lunchtime.

I was recommended this place by a friend, and loved the Matcha Cookie Smoothie! We self-ordered on the kiosk and didn't have to wait long for our drinks.

UG tea is one of the latest matcha shops opened in the South Bay. They are a very unique interior design, the whole store is like a nightclub, very shinny and trendy. We tasted a couple of their drinks and I have to say their matcha drinks are surprisingly legit, especially comparing to other spots that are high on the social media coverage such as Matcha town.

There's plenty of parking at this plaza but it can get busy. There is a kiosk where you can order your drinks. The interior was modern, bright and had a $12 photo booth inside. There are some benches inside too. Theres a whole variety of drinks on their menu. I have tried the blueberry blizzard smooth, matcha cookie smoothie, next level matcha latte & Mango Rice Floral Fruit Tea which were all delicious. The drinks here are on the sweeter side and the I liked the size of the drinks. Definitely will come back again.

After seeing this place pop up so many times, I finally dropped in to see what all the fuss was about! Unfortunately, it is all just hype and aesthetics because the drinks / service were just not it :(. The seats are more like a waiting area so honestly, it doesn't even make a great place to grab drinks and talk with friends. While they were pretty busy for a Monday afternoon, it wasn't like the store was packed at all - but the girls working seem to avoid eye contact with you like the plague. I totally understand being busy & I don't need you to immediately stop and drop everything you're doing, but it would be nice to be acknowledged. The drinks themselves were also just... off? We ordered the matcha cookie smoothie and jasmine matcha cream latte... The positives are : the matcha smoothie was only good because you can taste the cinnamon from the biscoff cookie / they put a whole cookie in, so it softens and you get to drink chunks of the cookie, but that's basically it. The matcha flavor was extremely weak for the smoothie and almost non existent in the cream. The jasmine flavor was also very weak.... So the drink just tasted like lightly floral milk. Super disappointed!! I'm glad they had the $5 coupon off deal, because I probably wouldn't have been happy paying full price for them.

An aesthetic Taiwanese tea shop just opened their first Bay Area location in Milpitas. UG Tea is known for their minimalist aesthetic, whole leaf teas and futuristic café vibes that reminds me of Gentle Monster. This is their third location after LA and Seattle. I tried: Camellia Oolong Milk Tea, smooth oolong with floral notes. My favorite! Next Level Matcha Latte, thick creamy matcha with a savory cheese finish. Loving the strong, creamy and milky matcha. Matcha Cookie, icy matcha blended with buttery cookie flavor. Fun fact: they plant 1 tree for every 1,000 drinks sold. The photobooth inside was such a cute touch. Gather your crew and check out this new spot!

A tale of two spectrums at UG Teas - I experienced the BEST milk tea and the WORST tea I've ever had during my first (and last) visit. The interior is stylishly decorated in green tones and shiny silver, with photos spots throughout. There is also three tables for outside seating. Ordering is via 2 self order kiosks or through online mobile app. Right now if you order via other app, you can get a five dollar discount and a free Camillia milk tea the next day. We tried the honeydew cloud milk tea, mango rice floral tea, peach camellia and orange jasmine - all with only 10% sugar. The honeydew cloud milk tea was absolutely amazing where the flavor of the jasmine tea, melon, milk and cream topping were perfectly balanced to draw out the best of all elements. Wow. The mango rice floral tea is like mango sticky rice in liquid form, but was somehow flavorless. The worst item was the peach camellia tea, which I actually returned because it was undrinkable due to its bitterness. I decided to try the orange jasmine tea but it was also bitter and the jasmine aroma was non-existent. I guess 10% sugar is too low since 3 of the 4 drinks were bitter or flavorless. However, other premium tea providers manage to have stand out flavors regardless of sugar preference so I think UG can do better. Despite its Sharetea pedigree and beautiful space, I think this is all flash and no substance. I appreciated they made me another drink when I was unhappy with my bitter peach camellia tea however, the second drink of orange jasmine was only slightly better so I will not be returning. The only silver lining is the amazing honeydew melon tea, which I will stop by and pick up if I'm in the area again.

The matcha latte had a rich, earthy flavor with a smooth finish and just the right amount of sweetness, allowing the quality of the matcha to come through. I honestly think their matcha was too milky for my liking, but everyone has their own take on it. The fruit tea was equally impressive--light, refreshing, and made with fresh fruit flavors that tasted bright and natural rather than overly sweet or artificial. The shop itself is clean, modern, and inviting, making it a great place to grab a drink whether you're catching up with friends or just looking for an afternoon pick-me-up. Service was friendly, and the drinks were prepared quickly even with a steady stream of customers. .

I tried the hibiscus roast milk tea the second time I went and I loved it. It was very light and floral and it pairs really well with the jelly I added. I would definitely order it again at 30% sugar.

A new tea place called UG Tea just opened up in Milpitas Square. The parking is terrible during lunch time, but better off hours or dinner time. The decor is sleek and interesting. A lot of photo opportunities. They even have a photo booth. They have a few cushioned benches for you to sit down. Otherwise, a couple of tables outside. Two kiosks and/or cashier to order from. The staff wear specific uniforms to showcase UG Tea. One unisex restroom only. I ordered the Rice Floral Green Milk Tea (+Tea jelly). The drink was creamy and a light floral flavor. Support your local business.

Matcha Latte (4/5) Included matcha cream top and some salted cheese Good but tasted like a (trendy?) matcha than a true matcha if that makes sense - nothing special 30% sweetness is recommended No soy milk - only oat Pretty aesthetics :)

    Cloud matcha latte
    Elaine G.

I had high hopes for this place as they have other locations as well, nice decor/aesthetics, a lot of green (matcha), and a cool photo booth. You can order from them or through the kiosk. Drinks I tried: matcha cookie smoothie (into matcha biscoff lately) and cloud matcha latte (I love cream pecan), but both drinks were ok. More on the milky side, not much matcha. Maybeeeee I would try dif drink in the future

Next Level Matcha Latte ($7.40), Mango Rice Floral Fruit Tea ($6.90), Matcha Cookie Smoothie ($7.40), 15 Jasmine Milk Tea ($6.40)

I always order it with no added sugar, and it tastes even more like fresh kiwi juice that way. Their Guava Grape drink is also incredibly good. The only downside is that they don't offer delivery through DoorDash or any other delivery apps, so you have to stop by the shop in person. If you love drinks made with real milk and authentic tea flavor, I highly recommend giving this place a try. The jasmine milk tea was smooth and refreshing with a fragrant tea flavor that came through nicely without being overwhelmed by sweetness. The boba pearls were soft, chewy, and cooked just right, making the drink even more enjoyable. The muddy Okinawa milk tea was richer and creamier, with a delicious caramelized brown sugar flavor that added depth and sweetness. It felt indulgent without being overly heavy and was a great contrast to the lighter jasmine milk tea. Service was friendly and efficient, and the drinks were prepared quickly. The vibe is casual and relaxed, making it a nice place to grab a drink, study, or catch up with friends. It's a reliable neighborhood boba spot that has been around for years and continues to be a local favorite. Overall, a solid choice for classic milk teas and quality boba. I got the coconut mango sago (D4) and mango mochi. I dove right into the mochi, which was fantastic. The mochi was so soft and chewy, the shredded coconut attributed a nice texture, and I loved the mango bits in the center. I also enjoyed the coconut mango sago.
