Stopped in for breakfast/lunch at this adorable little cafe in Tampa airport. First off all, the staff is super extremely friendly and was happy to offer recommendations on what to order. Of course, Being the adventurer I am, I accepted the recommendations. First was the mojito, which had such a good balance of alcohol and sweetness and amazing flavor. It definitely reminds me of Florida, down to the beautiful fresh orange slices. I ordered the club sandwich, which had some sort of amazing avocado sauce along with a beautiful assortment of thick cut turkey, sweet ham, and crispy bacon. The sandwich came with a side of house-made chips, which were phenomenal, and fresh made organic ketchup. If you have time to stop in here, I recommend it over any other place in the airport. We happen to be riding around scooters around the park then came across this so cute place! It was kinda busy, but our server was good so we got everything fairly fast. We split calamari and the grouper... both were really good!! Our server split the entree for us which was nice. The atmosphere itself is 10/10. Definitely will be back. read more

VERY IMPRESSED! Ulele's definitely did not disappoint. The only thing keeping it from a 5 star rating was the service was a little slow. Yes I do keep in mind COVID and the impact it has had on servers in the restaurant business; however, I can reassure you there was plenty of help this night. The food was amazing, I had the braised beef and it was scrumptious. My partner in crime (my wife), had the steak and said it was good but was a little under seasoned for her liking. What I really liked about this place was the story behind the name. Outside is beautiful and has statues with plaques describing the legend of Ulele. I could tell you now but that would take away from your visit, and I don't want to do that. The scenery is amazing and you are right there on the river walk to take that romantic stroll afterwards. Probably not my go to restaurant for special occasions but definitely a place I will visit often. read more

Airport food has a pretty poor reputation and for good reason. But Ulele is one of Tampa Bays signature restaurants, right? So this will be good at least. No. I ordered oysters and got the charbroiled ones, not the raw. Sent those back and what I receivers the saddest driest things. Were they precooked? I can't say. Not a cracker on the plate but lots of shell fragments and the oysters weren't cut so I had to dig at them with a fork to liberate them the shell. Ugh. Plus the bill was wrong-- and the waitress rude. Very disappointing. Skip this and get a burger. read more

Colleen was awesome & our Club so we came back on our flight back home. Located in the TPA Terminal C for SWA. Maggie served us next & we ordered the Lobster Roll which had thick pieces of lobster. It was also delish. A lot of people order the burgers which look amazing too. Not a fan of their homemade ketchup, but the fries are great too. No complaints especially for airport food. Decided to grab a drink a the bar before my flight and stood at the bar for 7 minutes before I had to speak up and ask to be served as she unwrapped bottles instead of asking if I needed anything. When Yanet finally came over she was brash and impatient. Then I was charged for a double Bloody Mary when I had not specified a double. Yanet dumped my change in my hand and quickly left. When I asked about the price she spouted back loudly that all drinks are doubles and cost that much. I was embarrassed and slightly frustrated with being rushed. I wouldn't return when Yanet is working. Good Bloody Mary though! read more

This place was awesome! For an airport place I was expecting some regular old fare that was straight out of the box from the frozen food section. Man I was wrong. I ordered a club and honestly, it was among my top favorite club sandwiches. My wife got the portobello burger and she said it was tied for the best. The service was great, the food amazing. If you are in this terminal, give it a call try. They also had homemade chips that were great. read more

Like all travel today everything is open to delays. Spending our delay at Ulele is fine as long as we are dealing with the pleasant bartenders. Girl on the floor has a terrible attitude and complaining about everything. Tried to order from bar but since we are at a table have to deal with her negativity. We should be the ones complaining about flight delay and high prices but we choose joy. Perhaps train staff to understand we are all in this together. read more

Our server, Edward, was very attentive and helped us with everything we needed. Atmosphere is great, the food not so much. We got chili, sea bass ceviche, corn muffins, salad, and oysters. Oyster were terrible, just bland. Sea bass ceviche was good, but could have been amazing if they used papaya instead of sweet potatoes. Chili nothing special, I make a better chili. Coffee ice cream is tasty. For the prices, their food should be significantly more impressive. Will not be coming back. read more

There aren't many places to eat on the SW concourse so we were content to stop here for a beer while we awaited our flight home to da burgh. Not being very hungry we searched the menu for some of the usual bar food like nachos, spinach dip, or a big pretzel. But none of that to be found. We talked about sharing a salad but I wasn't in the mood for that. We settled upon a burger without very high expectations. We ordered it medium, but have learned that you are setting yourself up for disappointment if you expect to get an airport burger anything but over cooked. Wow we're we wrong! The 1/2# burger came out char-grilled and was cooked to medium perfection (warm pink center). And the taste? Fantastic! Not just the best airport burger I've had but one of the best in recent memory anywhere! And the fries were excellent as well. Hot, crisp, and tasty. I will make it a point to stop here the next time through Tampa, and recommend it to you too! read more

Unfortunately this is one of the worst airport bars in the country and I do travel a lot. The wait staff is full of excuses for poor quality and the shortcuts they take. When served a Bloody Mary that was about 1oz of Bloody Mary mix, 5oz of water and a splash of vodka, I spoke up to the waitress who laughed it off and said that she added water because they ran out of mix. At a normal bar, they would have just been honest and said they are out of mix. There are better options in the C terminal. read more

Excellent service. Server Coleen amazing, friendly and knowledgeable. Food amazing, homemade zucchini pickles are incredible good.

First off, the atmosphere of this restaurant is amazing. Open concept, open kitchen. Beautiful outdoor area with cornhole, etc. The host staff was very friendly when we walked in and got us seated quickly (we went early to beat the rush. And let me tell you, it fills up quick). As soon as we sat down we're we're given an option of flat or sparking water and brought our own little "pitcher" to have at our table. We started off with the Alligator Hushpuppies. They...were...AMAZING!!! My partner had a dozen Oysters on the half shell. He said they were very good. We then chose the Native Sauté and the Stuffed Shrimp for our entrees. Everything was amazing. Our servers Edward and Laura were amazing (all while training a new employee as well). We will most certainly be back during our next visit to Tampa. read more

First time coming here... sat outside at the bar. Honestly felt like an outcast. There were 2 other couples drinking beer out of a nice glass. What myself and my girlfriends got were heavy ass man mugs. Another thing that got us were these gentlemen right next to us with the same appetizer had a very nice presentation, us not so much. We left right after. My first time going, I'm not impressed and probably won't be back after that experience. read more

I don't often eat in an airport, but for some reason I found myself chowing down the classic burger (ground short rib, brisket, chuck blend with the usual fixings and house-made pickles on brioche bun). This was a fine burger that washed down nicely with whatever it was that I took on tap. I ate at the bar and the bartenders are always very good. read more

So as I was on a layover, I decide it would be nice to have a beverage with my lunch I had just purchased. There were a few open seats at the bar so since I was just gonna grab and go, once the bartender came over to me I asked for the local IPA which she said they didn't have, then I said, well I will settle for a blue moon. She walked away and as she came back, she proceeds to pour a bud light and put it in my general direction and never came back. She stayed at the other end of the bar and I could not get her attention so I just got frustrated and walked away. Poor service and poor attention to customers is a deadly combination for any business. read more

I'm rating this as a "bar" not restaurant (which happens to be pretty awesome too BTW! So check it out!) I'm a Southwest girl, so this place is conveniently located right in front of my terminal. They know how to make a stiff drink, are super accommodating and most importantly quick! They have a small bar menu, but there are some breakfast sandwiches and some nice lunch options. They serve grapefruit mimosas, which is my morning flight jam :) The staff is nice, (especially Paricia with her bright smile and attentiveness) the bar is large, equipped with TVs and the bar staff will happily fill your reusable water bottle with ice water before your flight, even if you are not drinking at the bar. The area is surrounded by other To-Go food options from other sources (including healthy ones) you can take onto your flight. I'm not a fan of feasting on just nuts and booze on my 5 hr flight...after all a girl's got goals, right??? read more

If I could give 0 stars, I would. We sat for 45 minutes waiting for the waitress to serve our table. This was after multiple visits to the bar to let them know we hadn't been served and multiple pressing if the button that is at every table for service. We watched everybody else get served as soon as they sat down. We love Ulele, but if this an extension of the restaurant, it certainly is a poor representation. read more

Ulele Bar at the airport... I wanted to love you, but you just don't compare to the actual location. This place was so busy it was incredibly hard to find a seat. We got lucky and sat at the bar. Our bartender was very nice and kept our waters full the whole time. We didn't order any drinks but did order food. Don't come here expecting the same menu as the one downtown Tampa. This menu is very limited (rightfully so) and priced higher. I got The Ulele salad and my husband got a burger and fries. They were both OK and served their purpose, but I probably wouldn't return. read more

Ordered 50 minutes before my flight. 20 minutes later, they told be they were backed up and I should change my order to come out faster. Waited another 20 minutes after that for a crappy $16 chicken sandwich that I could have gotten at chick-fil-a for $3, and I almost had to skip the tab to make my flight. Complete waste of time and money. The regular location is excellent. This airport location destroys the Ulele name and reputation. read more

Great service! Happy engaging waiters and waitresses. The atmosphere was a typical airport bar however the countertops were dirty until shift change and the next waitress cleaned the area next to me, it was an area where people would come pickup drinks. Wound up with a delayed flight in this terminal with my fiance on our way to visit Raleigh from our home in South Florida. Luckily we wound up at Ulele after a little searching around otherwise I would've been very disappointed with my layover bar experience. The staff, Zoli, Colleen and Patty were excellent and had great suggestions and were top notch with service. If I have an option or excuse to layover in this terminal (Gate C35) and eat this amazing food and drink the specialty craft beers while I hang with the fun staff I definitely will and totally recommend you do too! read more

McDonalds filet o fish or grouper? I've never had the former but the later at Ulele was inedible. Overcooked and no acknowledgement that it sucked. I guess it serves me right ordering fish at an airport, even at Ulele. Just moved here so I think I'll pass eating at there Tampa restaurant. read more

30 minutes to get a beer and water...going on 45 for a portobello sandwich. Terrible...definitely not good for airport travel.
