Unprofessional and snide. It's been a while time since I've had someone look down their nose at me like a was an insignificant bug. I had to exchange an on line purchase in store because the product was defective. As I walked in their 'greeter' asked what I needed, I told her I was doing an exchange, SHE directed me to checkout line but, once I got to the front of the line, that associate informed me that I had to go get the replacement item first and them come back and...you've got it...wait in line again. Then they rang up the return and recharged me for the same item. She informs me that I owe .18c, because of the tax difference. Really?! ULTA, when you are the source of the inconvenience, you need to figure out how not to further detract from the customer's shopping experience. With a defective return, give them $'s off, so you don't have to 'add insult to injury' by asking the customer for more money, regardless of whether it's only .18c. Figure it out!! FYI...The Manager on duty that came over during the return, she was the one that was so snide. I really don't ever want to walk in an ULTA again. Who needs the aggravation when there are so many other options besides ULTA for buying Beauty products. read more

Today I came into Ulta and they always have had a 100% guarantee for the Chi straighteners to be able to bring it in and be able to get a another Chi and exchange it. It has never been a problem before in the past but this certain location obviously did not help me at all! They said that they could do something as far as like a blind return but that didn't work either so I would definitely not recommend the store because the customer service sucks and obviously they're not willing to make their customers happy!! Do not come to this Ulta drive the extra 20-30 min and go to another location!! read more

When you have a line of customers waiting to pay that's wrapping around the store, it's bad business to only have ONE cashier open!!! I went in to buy a few things I noticed I didn't have my ulta credit card so the girl searched me up I put in all the information correctly and I've done this before with my ID . I have available credit on it and my boyfriend decided to pay for me so I decide to cancel the transaction because I wanted to use all my point rewards so I ask to be refunded. My boyfriend had given her a 50 dollar bill and he asked if he can get it back so he doesn't have to much change and she said no with out giving us a reason if it was our money. I would love to go in and browse this place, but there is a constant beeping from the samples. I asked about it once and the girl working said it's too much work to figure out which ones are beeping so they just let them run out of batteries. I'm unsure if all Ulta locations are like this. But products never seem to be in stock here. Nyx brushes are always sold out, or their single eye shadows. Or their lip liners. If its an obviously popular item, why not stock more of it? Same goes for Too Faced, UD, and Stila. Also, came here on a Tuesday in the early afternoon. This is the first Ulta I've been to where someone walked up to me smiled and asked if I needed help! It was wonderful! I've been using Mally powder foundation but wanted to try the Ulta brand, as it's 50% less expensive. The associate helped me color match and wasn't rude at all about me trying to save some cash. Do NOT get your hair cut here. All I asked for was a simple trim of the bangs. She not only cut them crooked but took all the layers framing my face out and made them into bangs it looks hideous and I am supposed to be going to a friends wedding this weekend and my wedding is in three months. One associate with grey colored hair stopped and asked me if I needed assistance twice within about 5 minutes. Can't I just shop around without the hassle?? Had my hair cut and colored by Kathy. She didn't listen to anything I said...told her I wanted to keep my same color, but she decided I needed something different. Resulting in greenish hair. I had to ask her several times to fix it, which she didn't feel needed to be done. She kept telling me how beautiful it was. Instead of fixing it, she changed the color of my roots only. I asked her to leave the back of my head alone, but she refused to follow my instructions, because again, my needs and instructions were unimportant. She then charged me over $230 for greenish hair. After that debacle, I stopped for cosmetics, and found the store was out of almost each item I wanted. Won't be returning since that location obviously doesn't respect my patronage. read more

I had a hair appointment today! It was very disappointing! I had to wait 30 min to see my stylist! Then she washed my hair gave me a quick trim! Then some other stylists blow dried my hair scratching my neck and face with her long ass nails! Then my original stylist came back and asked if I was happy with the hair cut! I usually have my brows threaded, after too many botched waxings that leave me with "shocked and bewildered" as my resting expression. I couldn't get to my usual girl and I was already in ULTA to get some eyeshadow primer, so I thought what the hell. I wasn't sure how to get on the books, so I flagged down an employee who asked Haley if she could do my brows. She said she could, but was taking a business call, so it was going to be a few minutes. I was pretty nervous, because of all my previous experiences, and ready to jet, but Haley came in the nick of time. We discussed what I wanted and what I liked and didn't about my brows. I've never been one to fill and apparently I've been having my brows shaped incorrectly for my entire life, but the finished product is really nice. I'm not sure I love this new eyebrow look, but I'm going to stick with it a while to see if I change my mind. Objectively, she did a wonderful job and my brows aren't itchy, like they tend to be when they're threaded. They're also heavier than I'm used to, but they do look great. This is a four instead of a five because I'm flip flopping on how much I like the new look. Right now, I think I'll go back again. I could really have done this review in the sentences, but wanted to outline the whole experience, in case it helps somebody else who's on the fence of switching to waxing from threading. read more

My wife and I went to Ulta cause she was looking for a eye shadow palette and when we were having trouble finding it, Ashourina popped out of nowhere like a superhero and she helped us right away. She was so sweet and kind she helped us with all our questions and even gave my wife a sample of a makeup remover to try it out before buying it. Unlike other locations where they just want to sell you stuff; she actually actually cares about the customers. This review is for the salon: I had an appointment scheduled for 2:30pm today with Naomi to get a basic haircut. I showed up a couple minutes before, got checked in by a really nice girl and was told that my stylist was washing someone else's hair and it would be about 5-10 minutes. It seemed that if she was just now washing someone's hair it would be longer than that but decided to just wait and hoped it wouldn't be too long. The girl who checked me in got me a water which was nice and the only reason for two stars rather than one. I sat down and waited ... and waited. After 20 minutes someone asked if I'd checked in and I said yes. Another 10 minutes go by and a different stylist came up and asked if I had an appointment and with who (it had been 30 minutes at this point). She went over to Naomi, said something to her, and then came back and said she was just finishing up. Nice of the stylist to help me out but Naomi never even acknowledged me which is what I thought was kind of rude. My appt was with her specifically. If she had just said hey by the way, I'm a bit behind but I'll be with you soon, that would have been nice! I waited another 15 minutes and then decided they had wasted enough of my time and I left after sitting around for almost 45 minutes. No point in making an appointment ahead of time if they're not even going to honor it. read more

I had an appointment with Amber today and she EXCEEDED my expectations. It's been a little over 4 years since I've had an actual hair cut aside from trims here & there. My hair is my pride & joy but from the moment I met Amber, something told me I could trust her. I was scheduled for a signature cut which includes a bunch of stuff and usually lasts an hour to an hour and 15 mins. I failed to inform the salon that I have A TON of hair, but Amber was still up for the challenge and she pulled through! It did take a little longer but I was prepared for that. She gave me an awesome under cut, totally way cooler than I could have imagined. Bangs? PERFECT. The treatment she did was also really nice, my hair is so shiny and smooth I can't stop touching it. I showed her a few photos, and not only did I get exactly what I wanted, it was even better. I walked away with the best hair cut I've had in years. Thank you so much Amber!! Called this location to reschedule an appointment, after approximately 10 rings, someone pick up on their end then hung up. I called back again, after approximately 5 rings a young lady named Meagan answered with an annoyed "Ulta, can I help you?". I attempted to explain the reason for my call, and I was answered with another annoyed, "What? I can't hear you." By that time I was annoyed, so I just hung up. Customer service is not this location's strong suit. The employers need to school their employees on phone manners. If you want customers to keep coming back, professionalism is highly recommended regardless of how your day is going. Took my daughter here for a blowout. She has really curly hair, but she got one a month ago when she cut her hair and loved it straight. She saved her money. It was called a blowout and style but we just told her just want it straight. She then asked do you want it flat ironed and I said whatever makes it last longer. I was walking around the store when my daughter said she was finished and it looked kinda poofy, not laid down like a normal blowout and straightening. Then I get the bill and it doesn't have the 20%off for new client and I was charged 11 extra for the straightening. The worst experience my daughter is now sad and not happy at all. read more
