Shaqi is an amazing stylist. My hair was orange from home dyeing and she recommended full highlights. I could not believe the blonde level she got my hair to, there was no yellow in the highlights. This is a super rare salon experience for me. Shaqi took her time with each foil, got the thickness exactly right so the highlights contrast my base color instead of blending into mush, and made sure every section was properly saturated. She did not rush the foiling. She clearly cared about the final product and it showed. I also appreciate that she straightened my hair rather than curling it. I feel like many stylists curl and then you leave the salon thinking your hair looks good and don't notice how bad the cut or color is until you get home and wash/style your hair days later. Last Saturday our family stopped in, my 6 year old was my little helper, she loves fashion and I ended up spending well over the amount of my gift card! Products here are a little higher than other retailers, but I love Ulta and that they have a rewards program to get me returning! First we spotted their trendy/stylish knotted headbands "aka" my new favorite hair accessory that keeps my growing bangs out of the way, lol I bought them out! They instantly make a bad hair day turn into a good one! I also purchased my now go-to lip shade, a sales associate helped me find a cute blush, my 6 year old spotted one of my favorite mascaras and I also picked up some value sizes for removing my makeup! I would recommend this location, staff were knowledgeable and helpful and you'll definitely be shopping until you drop, because everything is just too cute to pass up! It's America's largest beauty retailer for a reason, with a salon and all inside! The lady whom checked me out was marvelous. The people there I felt treated me as well as they were treated there. As I shared the like of her press on nails, the manager made a petty remark about the call off immediately afterwards! How rude and how demeaning for the company. I'd act miserable too if I worked here. The cashier helped me with my credit card approval, I cannot say, "HOW SWEET & well Cynthia did!" Her energy was warm & kind. I sincerely hope you put her as Management. As she is the only redeeming part of my visit (9/20/25). 5 stars for Cynthia and the woman whom helped with the Liner 2. The staff was great, friendly and helpful. I was able to find everything I needed. It was a smooth experience.. Only thing is I would double check the prices the cashiers are ringing up, as the little products at the front counter are very convenient to buy especially if u see it for a certain price. But once they charge you it's about a $9 difference. Eyeliner and mascara box was for $20. It rang up for $29. I didn't notice it there but when I got home and looked at my receipt, I was charged $29. I was going to go back the next day to dispute but with work and kids, I got caught up and said forget it. Sara does not listen to the customer's needs at all. Not sure how she sold herself to the other reviewers on here. I encountered her twice, both with negative experiences. First time she shamed me into not getting the hairstyle I really wanted. I wanted a perm and had been not dying my hair for years so that I would have options when I went. My hair is naturally a dark blonde so YES it does highlight in the sun and I think she thought I was lying about having highlights which would not be ideal for perming hair AND clearly she was worried about liability issues. She kept pulling my stylist aside and whispering to her like I was some sort of criminal. I left feeling ashamed, unhappy with my hair (which I had spent years growing out with the assistance of pregnancy hormones from a decade ago), and my bank account was -250$ which is a lot for a working single mom. I will never grow my hair out long enough to get the perm I wanted again after they cut YEARS of growth off. The second time I brought my son in for a simple hair cut/style. I wanted it to be something fancier than I can do at home. Not too much to ask. Make it fancy, make it longer on top, make the sides short. I was VERY clear with her about what I wanted numerous times. We did ask for a photo for reference, so she found one and got stuck on it. Neither myself or my son said we wanted that. I only said "yeah if you take that picture and make the sides a lot shorter, the top a lot longer, and change the texture..." she did not listen. Then I asked her to make the sides shorter to correct how she took too much off top. I was nice and said look I should have stopped you but I wanted it longer on top. At that point her attitude was very defensive. Saying I made it like the picture. Yeah well, my son and I told you we didn't really like that picture of a kid 6 years younger than my son with a different texture of hair. Also, I said please texture the front so it's not a straight line across the forehead like Jim Carey in Dumb and Dumber. Then she says well I already textured it that's as much as I can do with his straight hair. Come on. SMH. Oh and what's more is I had to ask her to style it and show him how to style it. Down another thirty bucks and I will never return to Ulta again. read more

I absolutely hate this Ulta. This store comes up with new fake policies everytime I come. I shop Ulta frequently too so I know these are not company policies. You treat everyone like criminals asking for an ID for a return when I have everything. I even have a rewards account proving my purchase. I asked for clarification if someone doesn't have an id but a receipt they can't return and they told me no!!! How insane is that. Another time before this I came they told my friend they couldn't buy something at all unless she signed up for a rewards account. This is not a membership club this is a retail store last I checked. I don't know what it is about this store but someone needs to do a complete retraining on the company policies. You cannot just make up your own policies and you cannot continue to treat everyone like criminals just because you might have some theft by a few we paying customers shouldn't be subjected to feel that way. read more
