Dipped Black Sesame Kouign-Amann ($6.50) - Woah, super nutty sesame fragrance hits the nose and tongue upon biting into the hard sweet black sesame glaze on top (well, technically the bottom). It's sweet but not exceedingly so, and instead of making the pastry soft, it somehow enhances the crunch factor. The kouign-amann base has good flakiness with laminated layers that can be separated out. The top has a sweet caramelized sugar glaze melted on, but it doesn't penetrate into the interior much, resulting in the inside not being particularly sweet.
