Super fun, challenging classes. A great place to meet other women/moms. So far, I love it…read more I can't wait until it is cool enough for outdoor class.

There needed to be a place where mom's not only got a work out in and than left quickly after, feeling still disconnected, but where they could have comraderie, support from other moms, and have fun while getting awesome results. When we take ownership of our choices and our bodies we can make healthy changes to improve our lives which leads us to feeling good physically, mentally, and emotionally- that is when we radiate our Mom power and those around us benefit as well! Stroller Strength is a 60 minute full body workout combining cardio (power walking & or jogging) and strength training using resistance tubes and your body weight while having your child in the stroller with you. No need for childcare and no judgement when you have to tend to your baby. Aubrey will be there to help and we are all mom's who understand and no matter what you will get a great workout! Walk-n-Talk is an additional free bonus class for members of eMpower fitness. We will meet once every other week to walk or hike leisurely for 30 min, bringing your child is optional. This will include a nutrition topic and Aubrey will provide you with a healthy recipe to take home. We also have weekly playdates and mom's night outs

I have been gaining more and more weight over the years......no thanks to Yelp :) but thankful to…read moreYelp for helping me find this place! I have been going steady now for about two weeks and can say that everything so far has been more than positive. It is affordable, and so many classes to choose from. Charity is a rockstar and reached out to me right away to help me feel encouraged and set up with the tools I needed to succeed. (goals, measurements, eating plan, etc) The class itself is 25 VERY hardcore minutes, but I leave every time feeling accomplished and dead tired (the good kind) I love that it is woman only and all body types are represented. BONUS - yoga twice a week! If you have been in a slump over the years like I have, i would strongly encourage you to give this place a shot.

Only 35 minutes, but your butt was kicked for those 35 minutes straight. I always left dripping with sweat. There are also a TON of class times (who has classes at 3:30pm on weekdays?! This place!!). You're bound to find SOMETHING that would work. The instructors were nice and encouraged you throughout the workouts. Some even learn your names, so it feels really home-y. If you sign up for their e-mails, be prepared to receive regular, cheesy e-mails trying to get you to buy things (ex. workout plans). -1 star for that.

The structure, detailed routines and instructions are just what everyone trying to control the chaos in their brain needs. The South Tulsa coaches - Mac, Ryan, Niki and Heather - are all inspiring, fun, personable and warm. Will help you with any modifications you need. Some caveats up front: -I've attended only 4 classes here…read morewhile in town for holidays -I wear earplugs to every Orangetheory class, as I'm more sensitive to noise than the average bear. -I've attended classes in 7 different states Unfortunately I don't recommend this studio for two main reasons: -the coaches, despite having a mic, still shout out instructions. It's really unpleasant -there are not enough free weights to handle a full class The shouting is just really jarring, and you sort of need to white knuckle through knowing you're still getting a great workout. The weights issue: this is not ok. It's not a brand new gym, yet they only have one supplemental rack of weights for those who need to go heavier. All the relevant dumbbells were quickly claimed, leaving my wife and I with lower weights than we'd have preferred. Sure, we're in solid shape...but we're not bodybuilders. The kinda of weight amounts we need are standard at every other gym I've visited. A couple of positives: -there does seem to be a strong community at this gym, and good rapport with the coaches -Mackenzie was confident enough to politely correct my form knowing full well I'm not a local member: she's also positive which I respect.
